That Phoenix has some serious volume inside! I bet it sounds good and have seen it on Pew Science. I was lucky to buy 2000 rounds of the Hush 165 grain years back from a flash sale of 20% off just before their bankruptcy. I later traded 500 rounds to a friend for 500 rounds of 17 HMR when ammo dried up, so I only have about 500 rounds left now. I only have 2.5 boxes of PPU 158s, so that’s why I did the vid with the Hush ammo. I just took two shots of Hush 165 and then two shots of PPU 158 for you. The 165s were just barely quieter, and I mean barely.

@@makevelicustoms I used some high heat bbq paint on my SilencerCo Scythe because I wanted it black like the new exclusive ones that are available through Silencershop. SilencerCo wanted over 100 bucks to do it. Mine turned out glossy so I’m going to look for a more matte black finish, like wood stove high temp paint or something.

@@jristight I got this Omega 300 about 10 years ago. I forget how long the wait was without my NFA folder next to me. I just got notification that my BOGO Omega 300 was ready to Docusign, so hopefully it’ll be ready to certify soon. That BOGO backorder was a year and two months! I saw other Omega 300s shipping to Capitol Armory and other places while I was waiting for mine, so SilencerCo is cranking them out for the demand still. Ordering as soon as possible is the best way to do it.

Thought with the bore size of the baffles expanding all the way through the suppressor increasing to around 40 caliber, it should be good and it was :) Dead Air has a great warranty as well just in case, but your right, should probably check first. I did buy a rod for alignment from McMaster Carr that was the correct size, but it came from them bent so it wasn’t any good anyways.

@@mafirearmsafety dang. I got mine about 15 years ago. I don’t remember my break in process. I did get the CW Accessories performance upgrade kits and the original Exoskeleton slide for red dots. I wish I got the one for iron sites when they were still making them. I did a video recently putting the original slide back on and comparing a Dead Air Mask to a Rugged Oculus and it seemed to work fine most of the time, but I took into account that they were dirty.

@@davidnunley5436 I’m not totally sure. Probably the HK Parts mount with only one removable leg and you have to rock it on would be the hardest on the finish. Depending on the clamping torque, maybe all of them are the same. I think it mostly depends on the finish of the gun. My Omega MP5 has a hard epoxy finish so it’s very tough.

I wish I knew! It could help or hinder it in my opinion. I believe it would be up to how your gun is tuned like how much gas it’s getting. Having an adjustable gas block or suppressor would definitely be beneficial. What specific H3 hydraulic buffer are you thinking about getting? I might get one.

@@pogeegitz I always go with the closest to the bore size for the quietest if you can tune or if the gun doesn’t need to be tuned. I’m just guessing here, but I think even with the extra length of the 46m, it would have a lower tone and back pressure, but the Omega 300 would still be quieter and have that sweet pffft sound with subs and supers. I just got a call from from SilencerCo and my BOGO Omega 300 is going to ship soon. This 300 blackout will have one and the new one will go onto my Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39. They are fantastic sounding mid size suppressors, and I love them when kept lightweight and short with direct thread

@@BrandonGotCaniks I think the suppressor makes the bolt dirty quick and that’s why I’ve only got about 50 out of 110 rounds out of this thing at any given time. I want to make a full video, but hung up this gun for a while until I can figure it out. I tried multiple types of supersonic and supersonic ammo and would get failures often, so it almost made me think there might be headspace issues or something. I’ve got the parts used in the description.

@@spoonskill7080 I mentioned just about everything except for why that blue tape is on the wrench. My first time out with the gun, I was adjusting the gas for my Saker 7.62 with the wrench in the adjustable gas block as I took my first shot. It launched the wrench, but I’m not sure where it landed lol I had to order a new one and got two just in case and put the tape on there so I wouldn’t lose it again. I already have that Adams Arms P2 18” 6.5 Creedmoor which gets great groups, but maybe it’s because the scope can zoom to 24x. I like having this shorter package to complement it. I think my biggest concern now is the staking on the bolt carrier group. I hope if anything backs out or breaks, PSA would be good to warranty it for free.

@@Thomk121 first off, I was crouching and aiming through my tripod and camera. I also hadn’t used it for awhile and when I checked it out afterwards the front sight was loose. It’s always good to hear just the gun and not metal targets every time as well :)

@@punkinblack361 yes! Supersonics are the suppressor destroyed my receiver years ago with less than 200 rounds of subs and supers combined. I had to have it rebuilt and it wasn’t cheap. There’s not much metal holding the rivets in now, so I have to watch it always and never shoot supers suppressed again.
