Not only cost but also security is more important. You only describe cost but I think it's not a major issue....
How threading works for existing construction?
We can't remove the iron bar from the existing column....so is there any portable manual threading machine ?

Is coupler technique safe or not ? or else should i go with traditional lapping for column extension
Yes it's safe and cost saving too
@@DNDConstruction but it's also time taking process just think in existing constructed for column coupling we need to threading of all the rods which will time consuming.
