  • Learn how to make homemade gelatin gummies with orange juice. This is a healthy collagen-boosting paleo snack that promotes healthy skin and hair, heals your gut, is good for your joints and makes you sleep better.
    🍊 RECIPE 🍊
    INGREDIENTS
4 cups orange juice (or about 16 oranges if you want to press the juice yourself)
    1/3 cup gelatin
    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. In a small pot, pour in the orange juice and bring it to a simmer on medium heat. Don’t let it boil.
    2. Whisk the gelatin into the pot, a little bit at a time, to evenly distribute it so it doesn’t clump.
    3. Lower the temperature and keep whisking for about 5 minutes until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
    4. Pour the mixture into a pan so you can cut the gummies up in squares once it has firmed up, or into silicon molds if you want to make shapes.
    5. Put the pan or silicone molds in the fridge for about 4 hours to make them firm up (it will take less time if you use molds).
    6. Once firm, cut into squares or remove the gummies from the molds and store in a glass jar in the fridge.

I would coat them in some kind of starch before storing them. It's just that... they will stick together and also make your hands sticky when you get one out. So I would roll them in cornstarch, or perhaps, mochiko, if you don't eat corn, but it's not as smooth.

You could store them individually wrapped too, use baking paper to wrap.

Love this recipe and your channel. Do you keep the gummies in the fridge or at room temperature?

This is a great idea, made less great by boiling the orange juice, and also by not using lemons to sorta. I mean the collagen consumption is benefitted by co-ingesting with vitamin C but boiling it destroys most of the vitamin C. I say lemons thi because they are just a healthier choice than an orange by a bit, and would be optimal. I would make lemon juice luke warm which is all you need to dissolve collagen powder. This way you get the best bang for the buck. Otherwise great video and a great thing to make

It’s gelatin, not collagen. Gelatin is a component of collagen, you will not get the gelatin setting effect without bringing to a boil then chilling.

The link to the recipe doesn't work... How long do you cook on the stove and hot hot? what are the proportions? This video would have been much more useful if these details were included :(

The main issue with this video / recipe ..is that you're not letting the Gelatin bloom for 2 to 3 minutes in cold or room temperature water ..before introducing the warm / hot liquid. This might be a fundamental flaw to this recipe. Truthlfully ..it's probably just fine. BUt for everyone to know ..the proper Procedure with Gelatin is it has to bloom before you add the hot liquid. The recipe in this video is awesome though in that it couldn't be any easier ! Just stir Gelatin powder into hot liquid ..and pour into trays or glassware ..then refrigerate ..and enjoy
