Falcons fan here . Actually started watching your podcast a bit right after the Kirk Cousins heist (100 million guaranteed). You’re doing a great job covering your team. A lot of positivity and a lot to look forward to. I will always be a Falcons fan however my therapist recommended that I switch teams .
I don't know if your therapist would recommend the Vikings. I'm a Vikings fan and I considered therapy.
If you take professional sports that seriously, not even a therapist can help you. You should find a hobby and distance yourself from the Roman Circus.
I mean...if your therapist suggested that you switch teams, whatever. But if he recommended the VIkes, you need to switch therapists. Bad recommendation. I have 50+ years of PTSD under my belt from following these guys.

Gabriel Murphy, had him mocked too the Vikes round 7. The fact we have him as an UDFA is awesome. He is this years Pace Jr. Undersized, but just has that dog in them.
Gabriel Murphy, Dwight McGlothern, Bo Richter, Dallas Gant, Trey Knox 🔥 Kwesi cooked. I was actually surprised that Dwight and Gabriel didn't get drafted in higher rounds, let alone at all.
Yeah the draft is kinda nice as I think about it. Ppl annoyed we didn't address every single need on the entire team. Only thing I could see is if we missed out on any receivers; I didn't research them.
@@RednGoneand to be honest, we really didn’t need receivers. With JJ and Addison, that’ll carry a lot.

Again, overall Vikes did a great job. Most picks don't pan out into 2nd contracts. 46% QBs succeed. 27% WR, 33%TE, 34% S, 38%RB, 38% CB. what you look at is possibilities, and the VIKES are loaded up with those. The coaches decide success, not the players, and the VIKES are loaded there too. Kudos all around for taking some chances.
I don't think this year is the year but I feel like the future is pretty bright.

All these edge rushers the Vikings loaded up on, I can see Flores just constantly rotating these guys out keeping them fresh and letting them hunt.

I'm hoping the Vikings can potentially get a few additional interior offensive lineman in on visits. There are some really good players not scooped up yet, including:
Drake Nugent (Michigan)
Javion Cohen (Miami, FL)
Andrew Raym (Oklahoma)
As for the interior defensive line, here are a few names:
Keith Randolph, Jr (Illinois)
Myles Murphy (North Carolina)
Leonard Taylor III (Miami)
And I'm not sure how the safety Josh Proctor (Ohio State) is still out there. I thought for sure someone would pick him up in the 7th.

I really appreciate these types of videos as some who's starting getting into the nitty gritty of understanding football stuff. Getting a video and breaking these all down is quite helpful and I'm quite surprised at how many of these guys went undrafted. We'll see how they do in training camp.

Before he moved behind the paywall, TMQB used to rave about the teams that were good at developing UDFAs. It enabled those teams to spend less in free agency and draft best player available instead of drafting for needs. I feel like Flores could give us that kind of player development on defense.
With the new line ups for Kick offs Kene needs the special teams Guys to show and represent good Ball hawks like that Razorback CB and the Edge guys for rotation.

Wasn’t exactly what I wanted but 🤷🏽♂️ they know what they doing. In the kicker comment, yes immediately I hated it, mainly cause McCormik was still available at guard and one of the DT I still liked was but in the end I don’t mind it because I don’t want us losing games cause we can’t make field goals!!

I know we already have some big name established skill positions on Offense, but I'm not super excited about most of the Offensive UDFAs. Hopefully the OL guys are great. However, I feel like Flores will be able to develop at least one of the Defense UDFAs. If not a starter for us, special teams or some other team will sign them.
We could potentially get two 3rd round compensatory picks next year and also a high pick from the Falcons for tampering with Kirk Cousins. That’s three extra picks that we will most likely have by next year. It’s really early but I’m already targeting one of Michigan’s DTs with our first pick. Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant are both studs.
i predict mcglothern wins the 1st annual ivan pace jr award!

Between Murphy, McGlothern and Richter, they got 3 of the top 15 UDFA. I loved what I saw from McGlothern.

Micah Parsons is listed as 6'3" 245lbs. Gabriel Murphy and Dallas Turner seem to be good size coming in. They will get stronger after they mature more and get on NFL strength training regimen.
I can see Gabriel Murphy making the 53-man roster. Potentially Dwight McGlothern too.
I love signing 17 undrafted. They will have a chip on their shoulders and will probably work harder than the draftees. God bless them.
I feel like Kwesi just overthought his first draft and now they are settled in and he’s just killing the drafts now.

I agree I was rooting for him as well, but I think Jeshaun Jones or Devron Harper will battle it out with Powell for our 3rd wr spot. My money is on Jones but Harper is a RAC demon!!!

Hassan Reddick, Nolan Smith, even Dallas Turner and chop Robinson are all the same size as Gab Murphy ts don’t make sense I don’t get what undersized is anymore when the best at the position are that size

Bo Richter is a Stout converted safety. Unlike every other S to LB conversion I have seen, he plays w power. He runs thru people. He has nifty feet. 1st look tells Me He could stick on the roster. PS Squad at the least.

Since these UDFA's choose their teams as much as they are chosen by the teams, perhaps the Running back see that the Vikings are so deep at RB, so they go where they are more likely to play. Plus, the Vikings block schemes are not set up for a sustained rushing attack. Let's face it, the Vikings are going to pass the ball.
I'm surprised Murphy slid out of the draft for being undersized. He's basically the same size as Dallas Turner! Trey Knox could end up being TE2. Hoping the Mercer WR works out, wanted Joshua Cephus.
The knock is on the arm's length compared to the others.

I like Murphy and Nester. D McGlothern is one of the best in zone coverage, but too many penalties in man coverage and not good in run support....but good UDFA.

The Vikings are putting a lot of effort into finding diamonds in the rough. Taking so many UDFAs seems like a great place to find players that other teams didn't notice or players that need coaching and experience on the practice squad for a year or two.

I really hope Mccarthy does well but my gut says he's a bust. He's coming into a complete opposite offense than what he's used to. Going from 18 passes a game to 30 minimum there's going to be so much error on his part from what I've seen in his film. Throws it just hoping his guy can come down with the ball.
