When I moved to southwest Texas (Fort Davis) years ago, I was told. "This place is great on men and dogs but hard on horses and women. "

Great video, hunt to vanderpool is a really nice ride. Pour favorite. While you guys were in the hill country the wife and I rode to big bend this past weekend. Really nice weather, never got hot. Deep inside we all want to be like Johnny.

Always good to see some TKA insight and philosophy pop up on the RUclipss. If I can ride to 83 like my dad did I would be happy. That would have me riding 73 years. In the time I have ridden so far I could not so eloquently express the nature of riding as well as you do.

Tim, you have truly captured the essence of motorcycle riding. There10 is nothing like it to relax and enjoy the world that has been given to us. BTW, Johnny must be a Beamer Airhead with his 100. I have friends just like him that have taught me more about true riding enjoyment than anything. I'm glad they have made it into your life as well. Enjoy and thanks again for sharing

You're in my neck of the woods. Recognized just about every shot in your video. The only gas station in Campwood does get crazy busy!
Getting ready to take a trip next week to see some bluebonnets up by Llano. Check out the old gristmill up by Doss, Tx, if you guys take hwy. 290 to get to where you're going. Beautiful spot for pics. Stop and eat at the Longhorn Cafe in Harper close by. Lots of history in that area. Take care!

Strong work as always. I really need to nail down a time to go down there. I’m from the LBK area, so I’m familiar with the dryness of west Texas that you speak of. Every time the wind is kicked up (which is often) and the dirt is blowing everywhere I think of places like this and wonder why I live where I do. Maybe it’s to appreciate the nicer areas even more when I do visit them.

Tim, you are nowhere near old enough to be a geezer, but you'll get there! Just turned 68 in October myself, did a 1900 mile ride into and around some great parts of NC a couple weeks before my birthday. Haven't been to that part of Texas, those roads are on the list of top 10 rides in the country in a video I recently saw. Oh, and I don't smoke cigars (used to smoke a pipe on occasion), but I do drink whiskey now and again, prefer a good smoky single-malt Scotch like Lagavulin and have recently picked up a 21-year-old single-malt Bushmills Irish. Not really a bourbon fan. Great scenery, thanks for sharing!
