Tip.Put the plug in first,in case the small tap securing screw drops into basin.

Thank you, my taps look just like yours! Mine were making a racket of a noise, I replaced the tap glands and it's fixed, although they are not 'standard' so not easy to find (I used glands from the same tap type I had in another basin).

can i ask what gland you used as i cant find them, been looking for a while?

@@Gogetyours I acutally swapped a pair from an exact same tap I have in another bathroom. So am still looking for replacements (toolstation don't do them, nor a local plumber's shop - they were close but without the thread for the tap cover). Have just seen some on Amazon that look right, so will let you know if they work :)

Thanks for the video. I'm confused whether it's the valve or rubber ring that's gone on my taps! We had the taps changed a couple of months ago but it makes noise when either one (hot or cold) taps are on. The hot water comes out sometimes when it's off and makes the cold tap noisier. When I turned off the hot tap, cold tap still makes noise. There are vibrations too when both taps are on. What should I do please?! There's also 2 valves on each tap (for some reason) so to turn it off, I can turn either the top or bottom one and it shuts tap off.

Hi, just to add: if the tap is not dripping, just squealing; then the rubber washer may be dirty. Gently clean it (no need to take off) dry it, then put some PETROLEUM JELLY (Vaseline) on it. Worth doing anyway if you’ve taken it apart.

@@mrjolly65 Agree. In Australia we would call it an O-Ring. There are usually two of them made of black rubber recessed in separate notches on the spindle. Washes are usually red and separate the spindle from the basin. Not sure what you call them in the UK.

Mine doesn't make a nose but it drips. I can see the hot tap is a bit wobbly. Should I do the same thing

you can try, make sure the securing screw is tight at the end

Why didn't you film the 'before' when it was still noisy?!
