When the alarm clock goes off in the morning, pick it up and dismiss it by punching it whilst telling it that you're the boss of your day and make a fucking protein shake in the shower

I used to live like this. Ruined my life. Made me resentful of everything and everyone. Then, I developed an attitude of thankfulness and gratitude. Now when I wake up, I spend about ten minutes meditating and praying. It has changed my entire perspective and started my day motivating me rather than pretending life is a sprint like I have so.ethong to prove to internet alpha dudes who have deep-seeded father issues.

I never knew why I had such a hard time getting up in the morning until watching this video. Anyone else that has a problem hitting snooze on the alarm should simply do like I did. Replace the alarmclock beeping tone with a recording of Jocko saying "Get up! Get up now! Don't u even look at the snooze button mf'r!"
Problem solved I haven't had a problem getting up out of bed ever since. When that alarm goes and I'm woken from a deep sleep by the stern authority of Jocko telling me I need to get up...... Well who in their right mind would be fool enough to not comply?

Honestly, there are days that I get right up and there are days where I hit the snooze 3 times. Typically this is due to whatever I was doing the night before and how well I prepared for the next day. If I’m well rested, I’ll get right up, if I’m not, I hit that snooze because I’m tired still. Either way, I’m not late to work and my life doesn’t get any worse if I snooze for 15-30 minutes. Jocko says that he only requires like 5 hours of sleep a night and he feels well rested. This is why he gets right up. I know a few people like this, they can fall asleep as soon as their head hits the pillow and the sleep solid all night. I’ll tell you what though, those people are fucking grumpy as hell when they don’t get their sleep! For the rest of us normal humans that sleep like dog shit every night and still function in life, we are the ones that are resilient despite our sleep deprivation. So yeah, snooze on my brothers and sisters! Snooze on!

If your not falling asleep fast enough it means your not tires enough.
Sure you might be head tired, but your body isn't tired.
Can't sleep, go outside and jog until you can't breath anymore, then catch your breath and walk home.
You will sleep when you get in bed.

I guess it all depends on how you want to live your life. Some people don't have lofty goals and they don't need to schedule every minute of their lives. And it depends on where you are in life. When you're retired and you've lived many lives you're very content with taking life as it comes. It's quite a relief to not be on an endless pursuit.
