  • Just before Covid hit in March of 2020 I had been planning on building my own plunge pool in my backyard in Boston. During our honeymoon, my wife and I really enjoyed our plunge pool in our suite. So I decided to build one of my own to enjoy while in Boston.
The design of the pool is as large as Boston building department would allow at the time. The entire process took about 4 months to complete everything. It has massage jets and a heater system to keep at a comfortable temperature all summer long. The total cost of the project, including all the landscaping, cost around $15,000. Well worth it to have a backyard paradise in Boston.
I did lose some ambition to get all timelapse videos of the projects towards the end. So its mostly photos for the last 25% of the project. My original plan for this video was to be a complete how to video as I couldn't find any on youtube. I lost interest in editing the video for a few years and don't remember all the details of the build. So decided to just show the process in a shorter format.
I included a few other pictures of my backyard as well. I added in a small putting green and an outside bar while I was at it. I may at some more detailed videos on those projects int he future.

How hard could it be? After watching this video, the answer is extremely hard. There is no way I could ever do this - hats off to you.

Wow, you sure put your heart into the work involved🎉 thanks for showing the process. We, too, enjoyed a plunge pool while in Mexico where temps were 100 degrees & want to do the same. Hope the coming hot weather finds you cool & comfortable! Cheers.
