Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was pretty famous those days,I happened to visit his restaurant in Dubai,when he first opened his restaurant there,that was my first experience with his food.Alcohol was also included in his menu which I never knew.I would not have gone there if I had known about it, anyways I was with other friends of mine,so we just indulged in food menu.Every single dish we ordered,to my surprise was horrible.It was sheer hype and clever marketing blitz.My wife food tasted better than this restaurant.I would never recommend and even admit to say Sanjeev Kapoor is good.Thats simple truth.
Sanjeev Kapoor is the most overrated chef in the world. He adds garam masala to everything...whether Punjabi, Gujarati, Kerala, Maharashtrian, Bengali, Assamese. If you follow his books or videos, you will never get the original taste. His expertise is not cooking. It is marketing and PR.
