Reviewing GERMAN DONER KEBAB - The WORST KEBAB I've Ever Had!

- A trip back to German Doner Kebab. Now, I've had quite a few of you message me to say give it another go as maybe I just had an unfortunate experience and a new branch might be different so I took a trip to Borough in London to give it a go... could it be worse?

Hi, Gary. I have Cerebral Palsy and Depression. Your videos give me a break from both. Cheers, pal. Paul xxx.
I am post mastectomy and these vlogs getting me through. All the best to you xx
No matter how low you get Paul, just remember you could be eating a German Doner Kebab 😂 good luck
@janecox4173: Thank you and all the best to you too. Thinking of you xxx.
@darland3821: Thank you xxx.
He is calming, friendly and always a relaxing view. I can’t eat at those places but he offers a little window to what’s out there. In a lovely way. Very much if we’re the other side of the table
Yes, your tone, honesty, hard work, and professional (but down to Earth) Reviews, also help me escape all the healing up that I'm doing, and feel like I'm there, exploring all the British food offerings, with you amd your fine cameraman! Thanks Again!!! Bill, from Across the Pond (Staten Island)
Hello Staten Island thank you for watching and commenting really appreciated 👍
Found your channel around a week ago and I've got to say I love how honest you are whilst still looking for the good in the experience! Top reviewer in my book!
That’s very kind and appreciated thank you very much for watching the videos. Please have a wonderful week.
As someone of Greek-Cypriot heritage I can say I have yet to find a really nice donner in London (or gyros as we call it). From what I understand, speaking to those in the restaurant industry, a lot of them use the same suppliers. Apparently there are only a few places you can secure 40kg frozen formed meat cylinders from!
The best I've had has always been made in-house, but it takes time and effort most kebab places in the UK are reluctant to expend.
I've had kebabs in Cyprus and they were absolutely next level. I was staying in a place called Kissonerga near Paphos. It wasn't gyros though, it was souvlaki and sheftalia in a pitta with salad- a big squeeze of lemon all over the meat, so delicious that I'll never forget them. I have also had gyros quite a bit in Greece, smaller and wrapped in a flatbread with some chips and salad in there (and the delicious sauce whatever it is). I could eat quite a few of those delightful Greek gyros but the Cypriot kebab was more of a meal. 😄
@@free_gold4467This comment made me feel hungrier than the video of the GDK kebab! 😅
Totally agree, my local Turkish place, their doners smell and taste like sweaty gym socks. Their other kebabs are quite reasonable. Tried that place in Stoke Newington, I forget the name, that an Evening Standard article said had the best doners in the UK, was totally unimpressed. However, for some reason, doners are always my go to after my senses have been knocked by 7 or 8 pints. The sweaty gym socks doner becomes the delicious thing in the world! 😂
Yes, you're most definitely right.
@@AkihabaraWasteland am in Southgate, but I'd say a good gyro is still very hit and miss! Mostly miss!
Great review as ever Gary..... sorry to hear about your experience.... in the 90's I used to LOVE Abduls Kababs in Manchester (slowly improving and taking over the City) with Abduls posing up every where...... I have no idea what the reputation is now and weather the evening demand and entertainment is like what it was in the 90's
Hope you can visit any of the Abduls on Oxford St - its not Gordon Ramsey - its for students so rate on that level please and hope you enjoy!!
Thank you mate, I will try and give it a go!
Nearly at 50k Gary you deserve it mate especially for suffering for us with meals like this.
Haha onwards and upwards mate!!
I think you'll hit the million - too good to go unnoticed.
I find that the older I get, the less I am able to tolerate greasy food. I have to admire you for giving this place another go because if it was greasy the first time around, they likely would not have seen me a second time.
I understand your point completely, and they definitely won’t see me for a third time
Initially it looked so good but I guess your camera person is good! Respect for you giving it a go again after last time.
Thank you! 😊
Love watching your videos before bedtime your your reviews and calling music relaxes me so much.
Glad you like them! Nice cure for insomnia :)
Thanks Gary, excellent video. Never used or heard of GDK. I will give them a wide berth.
This was my second visit they definitely won’t get a third
Admire your honesty Gary
Thanks David :) all it's about.
The last kebab I had in germany cost me just under 10 euros and looked way better than anything you ordered here.
I'm getting the feeling that the whole "german kebab" thing is just a marketing gimmick as someone somewhere said the kebabs in germany are good (which to be fair they generally are) and someone thought "we can use that to sell, well, kebabs".
I think your right David 👍
Interesting review! There was a GDK in Swansea when I was there at uni, and I thought it was fantastic, especially compared to your normal high street late night kebab. The bread, the toppings, selection of sauce and (what I at least thought, lol was) quality meat made it much better than your average kebab! I wonder if you say, maybe you just had a bad experience? Perhaps one day if you find yourself in Swansea you could try GDK in Uplands. If you are there as well, definitely check out Nishimura! Japanese restaurant on Catherine Street. There's also a Chinese right next door which was super authentic!
Thanks Rhys!
Hi Gary, You were not unduly harsh at all. GDK is a franchised chain that just takes a totally sensible dish and trots out a very pale imitation of what it ought to be like. There are way too many genuine Kebab shops out there to ever darken the doors of GDK ever again.
@@westerling8436 well go ahead and splurge two tenners for it - and you get the extra grease for free
Thank you 😄 all the best.
Cracking review as always 💪 can’t say I’ve tried many different kebab places, but my ‘goto’ is Best Kebab along Walworth Rd. I always go for the chicken doner and it’s lush! Very popular so always fresh meat 👍
You're the third to recommend going there Ryan will definitely take a look mate 👍
Thought you were pretty spot on and not harsh at all. The last two times I had this via Deliveroo I’ve either been sick and it’s turned up cold which means re-heating. My kebab had hair in it too. Both experiences left me feeling disgusting inside and out - luckily I was fully refunded on both. Much better local kebab shops as you know. GDK was once pretty good but now it’s horrific
Thank you
must just be that particular one as ive had food from the walsall one many times and its always been delicious, i get the boss box and the pannini whenever i go and never had an issue. its good to see inside others though for comparrison
Fr
That’s a fair comment. Thank you 👍🏼
just discovered this channel great work gary fantastic videos😊.
Thanks and welcome!!
I don't understand why kebab meat would be greasy? In NZ a Doner Kebab is chicken or lamb sliced from a turning tower of meat, placed into a toasted pita bread type of pocket. Then you fill it full of Turkish salad, and mint dress8ngs or whatever you choose. Never greasy. Never have chips or fries with it. Our local one would give us free sample of homemade Turkish Delight.
This was just terrible which is my second visit so no idea 🤷♂️
What meat was it - Labrador? 😏
Lol oh dear Hugh
Great honest review - I hope that GDK see this and respond to your comments
I very much doubt that Ian 👍
I like the honesty in the review, glad you don't feel pressured to pretend its good as the honesty is what we come back for. Bad food is bad food, its really as simple as that, it's not wrong to call it out, better than pretending its good, getting people to go there to only find its gross. Well reviewed, I wouldn't even of given that a 2, looked really unpleasant.
Thanks so much 👍🏼
Gary, I recently tried a bit of kebab - amazingly the first time I have ever tried in all my life. I honestly thought it would be a guilty but tasty pleasure. I was really underwhelmed by the almost complete lack of taste, the flavour being that of grease and meal with a flabby texture. It's said that you need to be drunk to enjoy, but surely something with flavours works better like fried chicken? Anyway, your meat looked exactly like what I tried and I won't be wasting my money again.
I think there is much better food to try then this rubbish
Wow 😮 the German Doner Kebab restaurant here in Kingston upon Hull is absolutely bang on, and I never had any bad experiences with it mate 😮
That’s great to hear Scott 👍
I have experienced German Donner Kebab myself in Birmingham, terrible kebab thoroughly agree with you.
I tend to warn people to not bother.
Shocking 👍🏼
You're right just had their vegan doner kebab and it was way too much and spicy. The chips were cold and the 'cheesy fries' are anything but cheesy. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I've been living in the Middle East for 13 years and I've tasted plenty of delicious doner kebabs. I've also had some in the UK, Germany, South Africa and Turkey. I bought the tastiest kebab I have ever had in, you guessed it, Hong Kong! Seriously. I discovered a tiny Turkish restaurant in Kowloon when I was there a few years ago and the food was brilliant.
That’s great to hear but a little far to go 😳
A braver man than myself Gary, no one has been able to convince me to eat the "mystery meat", even in a fancy food chain. 😆
This is one I definitely do not ever recommend trying Mark
We have one near us - never been tempted to go in - looks like I never will after this! Food looked shocking!
It was very poor
We have one in our nearest city...I will not be going. Big 0 just watching it yukky grease. Ty gary for sharing x
Avoid
I am very surprised. I am 53, been eating kebabs for many years and this one is my favourite. They use beef and it's delicious every time i go. This is the best doner kebab I have ever eaten here.
Fair enough Matthew. Felt it was far too thin and greasy
Gary’s message to us viewers: “Don’t give it a go!” 😂
It did look awful.
Do not give it a go!
Just had one of these open in York, couple of friends have been and they said they won’t go again, like you have said everything swimming in grease, Dougie.
I found it unacceptable Dougie
A Cod fillet and a scoop of chips at my local chippie would be about as much as I could eat. No grease involved and, a bloody good feed. Everything is fresh and, about $12 NZ, 6 quid ?. Huntsbury Seafoods. Christcurch NZ. I couldn't eat what you just tried to mate. Thanks for the review.
Spot on and thanks
Hi Gary, that was very brave of you to eat in a kebab place. The word kebab just fills me with horror! 😂
😁
I went to this Kebab shop twice. The meat is like boot leather and the Bread was stale on both occasions.
Shocking Jacob
GDK is pretty good here in Ottawa Canada. Out local specialty is Shawarma by the Lebanese
Good to hear 🇨🇦🇨🇦
You have a unique way of zooming in on greasy food to make it look elegant!
That’s very kind to say I think Lawrence
Nice to see you found the 'G Spot' there, Gary. :)
Absolutely lol
More meat on burger than there was on that kebab. There's one in my town(Oldham) German Donner I will probably give it a miss after watching this, thanks for review.
It might be ok Lee but the two I’ve had down in London haven’t been good at all mate 👍
Never had a complaint about the one near me.
Really good food
😄
Also have to try Iskader Kebab from Atepelier in Haringay Green Lanes. The absolute top king (sultan) of kebabs.
On the list
Very much dependent on staff in the outlet you visit, some of them are capable of following the instructions that make the well presented but poor quality food on offer a reasonably enjoyable experience and other others aren't and it's terrible.
A very good point but this was my second visit to a different franchise and both absolutely rubbish
'Grease is the word!'. You've got chills, they're multiplying!
Lol!!
It's the pits we have one local and no one goes in there, it's always empty, which says a lot, empty place means rubbish
Agreed 👍
Although I’m not a big takeaway buyer , as I’m no exactly swimming in cash , i do like to eat out in places which provide value ,& quality . Decent kebab shops , real old school cafes , and small family run curry houses etc … But as it’s tricky trying to work out the best places to visit , without stumping out cash , to find that your facing a plate of grease 🤢. I’m pretty careful as to where I eat .
During my time of working in the west end theatres , we had a few great value places , which have since been replaced with chain restaurants , that churn out over priced rubbish .
Rather than give these places my money , I’d love to see you publish a small booklet on a yearly basis , with your gems .
That way the small enterprise gets recognition , we get a tasty , good value delight ,& you get a small income from sales ,& some satisfaction at fighting the big chains . Win win 🥇
I’m fact thinking about it . 5 start money pits get a Michelin star , lower budget places , which produce honest , good value grub get awarded a Gary ⭐️
Well funny you say that give it about a week and you will be happy 😃 I hope good suggestion. Are you still acting BTW 👍
@@GaryEats ruclips.net/video/SytCUAVZk4I/видео.htmlsi=2BbcnWwqq7z1k0JY Not as much as I'd like . Sadly my last decent work was a few years ago .But never say never
I wish you all the best and good luck 😉
A kebab shop doesn't seem like something that would scale well. Glad I don't have to find out for myself! At least the cameraman got to eat. Thanks for the review.
No the cameraman didn’t lol 😂
I'm so glad you reviewed this overly hyped place. Its so bad!
I would you recommend going to Keebab Land Harrow town centre. The doner meat there is exceptional.
Will take a look you 👍
I think GDK are just really inconsistent. I hate greasy doner kebabs but the GDK in Bexleyheath don’t have this problem. In fact I’ve found their kebabs to be really clean tasting and not giving you that heartburn/indigestion feeling that you would get from a greasy kebab
I’m coming to Bexleyheath very soon 😳
I would say definitely a fair score. I have tried GDK and I have had 4 and never again
I’ve done it twice never again either 👍
Never heard of German doner kebab before. Now I have, I’ll give it a miss. Thank you Gary.
Definitely one I’d avoid
I used to go to GDK in southampton and i thought it was pretty good, i think it can depend on the franchise outlet you go to
I fully agree 💯
The chef literally put his blood, sweat and tears in your meal mate.
A couple of other things as well lol
Man plays with food.😊
Man dislikes food
brother i live in berlin and even a shitty kebab place here is much better than that.. i only get chicken and you will see a massive difference here in berlin. few famous places here but some hidden gems. german donor is not greasy at all and the bread they used looks similar but just seemed to be toasted bread. Proper doner here is tasty, crispy and a little spicy.
I think it’s very wrong that they named themselves GDK, as I understand the kebabs in Germany are fantastic
That food looked shockingly bad. We've got a Donner Kebab shop near us and thankfully it's nothing like that at all. That meat was really hard to look at, can't imagine what it was like to try and eat.
Very very bad
I was in tears laughing at this one. Thanks from Dublin, Gary 🤌
Glad you enjoyed it John . I didn’t lol 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Went to the GDK in Brighton and couldn't fault it. Looks like it's luck of the draw when it comes to which location you eat at.
Agreed. It does seem to be that way with a lot of chains. Maybe I'm just not a fan of it
There must have been 2 pounds of grease in that meal. Hope the cameraman was OK after eating that burger.
Cameraman wouldn’t eat it, ungrateful that’s what he is 😂😂😂
I've had German doner kebab once and it was after a night in the pub. Thought it was alright, and food tastes better drunk so says it all really.
Lol no shock!
I've only ever had the gym box when I've been in there. Wasn't too bad to be fair, it's just meat mixed in with a lot of salad.
Good I’m pleased 😀
@@GaryEats yours did look terrible though
Unfortunately GDK has gone downhill bigtime. A few years ago when the first couple of stores appeared it was amazing. Huge portions, well cooked and not greasy. Also it varies alot between franchises unfortunately.
Yes not a fan
There’s a reason why most Brits eat Kebabs after a night out on the sauce…. Your face said everything & that’s an honest review. I had on3 of these bought for me at a work meeting. I only ate is as I was really hungry & didn’t have to pay for it….
It was poor Mark I wouldn’t eat again if it was free, however I will still have kebabs from traditional places 👍
@@GaryEats That’s fair enough. Remember when kebabs used to be two three quid, now they are pretty pricey… 😳…..
You gave it a go twice and not good. Thanks Gary you saved me wasting my time and money…cheers mate 👍
Your welcome 👍
Gary, that donor kebab that you dislike reminds me why I'm happy not to eat meat. Meat, slapped on stick, rotating all day, with airborn bateria...sliced up paper thin. Those fries were not good.
Tried it whilst they had an opening offer and to say the least, it was an offer I could have and should have refused at point blank range. If you're going to have a doner kebab, go to a Turkish restaurant/takeaway with high ratings!!
Always and fully agree 👍
You're not being harsh imo, I'm not a fan of German doner kebabs either, Ive tried it twice now too but they are just not as nice as a good old fashioned cheap Turkish doner kebab
Spot on. Thanks!
That looked vile. You won't find me going there...
Agreed 👍
Damn ! I've been wanting a doner kebab for months now. This location is just a 10 minute bus ride from home and I was thinking about visiting this weekend After this review I guess I should think again
Avoid it!
@@GaryEats Will do
I don't think it was greasy enough.
Really
Def only food after a long night out in the pub!
You would need a lot of alcohol to enjoy this, Mike
Surprised you went back!
Me too 😳😳😳😳
We had a kebab takeaway in Scotland Road Liverpool in the early 90s. Yes he was Turkish and made it all fresh. Nowhere have i seen the same standard kebab ever, it's all frozen 💩
Yep
Every food review ive seen about this place has been amazing. I eventually went and surprise surprise It was terrible.
Well Martin definitely wasn’t
Gary, to fully enjoy a doner kebab please follow these simple steps.
1. Make sure you only order your meal between midnight and 3am.
2. Ensure that you have imbibed enough alcohol to knock out George Best.
3. Eat your kebab whilst sitting in a bus shelter, not forgetting to drop 50% of it on the floor.
Following these steps will ensure maximum doner satisfaction 😂 👍
Covered in chilli sauce boss! Sometimes garlic sauce.
Haha I've been there many times Andrew and I can mostly agree they are the steps to take!
I totally agree with you and as for it being stated the the Keebab is greasy I thought that’s the way they are and part and parcel of the whole make up of it all…
this is a 40 year veteran Keebab consumer speaking….lol
Ha ha brilliant. Yes Gary has to go back again now at midnight half sozzled and do another video review eating at the bus stop 🤣.
1. buy kebab
2. get home
3. sit to eat it on sofa
4. wake up next morning having fallen asleep lying on the 3/4 of it that you didn't finish
I like your videos mate, and not trying to be negative - but how can you order a doner kebab and complain about the grease?
Hi Jack, thanks mate. I’ve had my fair share of doner kebabs (more than I care to admit) but the grease on this one was far too much, swimming in it. All the best and just seen your channel, wow!
Being from the Middle East I have had my fair share of kebabs and Gary is right here, the level of grease looks horrendous. If it is overpowering the flavor and spices of the chicken then there is clearly something wrong.
Authentic kebabs are actually not that greasy got to go to Berlin, and the toppings are cut completely fresh every day! Can't say authentic and serve up this mess Gary is right.
I've had plenty of donar kebabs and non have been that greasy to worry about. These did look shocking in the video. Especially that burger. Did they put the onion in it like that to carry it so you didn't get grease on your fingers. Lol
You’re a brave man Gary. Once bitten, twice shy. Twice bitten, say Goodbye. The food looked shocking.
Great comment Christopher, it definitely goodbye 👋
I woudnt have given it to dog
I have been TWICE to two different GDK's - BOTH times I have eaten the kebab in ONLY a few minutes and felt the whole meal (inc chips, can and the sauces) was over priced in comparison to a REAL kebab shop! Won't ever go again... 😢😢😢
@@zonabrown9241 I feel sorry for the cameraman.
To be honest it looked like a complete mess, how can they sell that rubbish to people
This place is the type where they’d invite local social media influencers and they’ll just shill and praise how great it is in their videos. Thankfully there’s folk like you Gary!
Hi Lee I look on the images and if I had said that was quality you would never watch another video again, however the taste was not good and I have eaten a few kebabs over the years, really appreciated your comment thank you 😊
@@GaryEats your honesty is always appreciated and valued!
Spot on.
making a lot of ASSumptions there little fella
Yes that's a thing. The Spice Hut franchise opened a shop up local to me. I've been buying their spice box that came in a 12" pizza box for the last few years. Now it's half the size and comes in a 10" box, and the price has gone from £17.99 to £24.99. noticed a food influencer did a video last week outside their shop and the box was totally different in size and much deeper. It was packed and the presentation was excellent. Absolutely nothing like you get 😂
Oh dear.... another chain restaurant that misses the mark. I'll stick to local businesses for better quality food and service. Another great review Gary. Keep em coming.
Not had many good meals at chain restaurants at all Micah. Thanks mate :)
It’s a shame because the local Muslim businesses are now a no go
You were not being harsh at all Gary - that's why I love your reviews .... you're always honest which I prefer over reviewers who are scared to say if the food isn't any good.
Thank you. That's very kind of you to say!
Fair point 2 was prob a bit harsh. But you as all of us are paying good money so def expect better value than that for it!
awful a stomach pump job .
GDK is a gimmick IMO
As a German kebab expert since about 35 years: Never go into a "restaurant" where the kebab on the stick has a smooth surface. Smooth surface means: This one is (hopefully) made from minced meat, dilluted with fat, with more chemistry inside than inside of a GSK plant, mixed with protein glue and poured into a form like concrete, afterwards shock frosted to keep its shape. And the "meat" in your bread looks exactly like that. Always go to the kebab shops where the meat ist edgy and you see the different layer. A little bit more expensive, but worth the price.
Spot on that 👍
Very useful advice! Sounds like you have knowledge of the subject, for sure!
Interesting. Thank you for the info.
I know what you mean re no texture in the meat. Best doner kebab meat I have eaten is from Tas in North Cheam, Sutton in Surrey. It’s more like a roast land being carved. So flavoursome with chunks of meat.
If it isnt layers of Chicken or Lamb give it the swerve!
Gary, I subscribed to you because you are a normal person reviewing normal food. Love the reviews and keep them up. you have a great balance of wanting great food vs the cost.
That is very kind to say Simon really appreciate you watching, commenting and subscribing thank you 😊
Gary, you took one for the team. Thanks! I have no intention of eating there. Dreadful.
'Taking one for the team' - That's the exact phrase I used
when I ordered GDK (my sister who isn't as adventurous as me) wanted to see if it was any good and I had the same complaints as Gary - everything was just greasy! Best thing was the bread and chips!
Can't you try it for yourself to see if you enjoy it? I and many others love German Donner Kebab-it might be great for some and awful for others.
Haha thanks Stephen. All the best mate
Had it once and it was shocking. Glad you think the same people saying it is nice maybe after a few to many beers 🎉
@@jdbruiserif your in London, go to the black manual by old street station, you will know the levels.
The 'beauty shots' of that kebab turned my stomach. I can't understand how places like this exist. Another great review, Gary.
Thank you 😊
That is so true😐
Gary will always take your word for it. The doner meat looked cats a**e. Top job fella.
Lol thanks mate. Great description!
You mean donnnnner meat 😄
The kebabs in Germany are actually amazing. I tried them when I was there during school exchanging program.
Can't wait to try them at a later date.
I loved all food in Germany, except the kebab.
I can't imagine you take pleasure in giving a bad review but you've been as fair as you possibly can, to the point of even giving them another chance! If it's not good it's not good, and your 'job' is to give a fair and honest review which is what you've done and that's why we all love your channel.
That’s a very kind comment thank you very much 👌
A classic example of “Don’t shoot the messenger” 😊
I’ll take one honest bad review over one hundred contrived (and possibly sponsored) good reviews.
My husband had a German doner on a night out once and even though he was blind drunk he still thought it was horrible which says a lot!
I reckon if I ate one of those it would have little slices of carrot in it ... visible on the pavement before I got home. Yuk !!.
Wow. Now that is bad!
Dodgy kebabs eh
You know it's bad when wasted!! lol
Brilliant comment 🤣!
Fair play to you as you gave them a second chance but still had a bad experience which in itself speaks volumes.
I think a score of 2 was very generous 🤣
Your honesty is the reason people are now tuning into your channel as they're fed up with other vloggers repeatedly giving solid 10's no matter how bad the food is....keep up the good work 👍
Thank you! Yes, this was not good at all. Very very greasy!
I've had one of them delivered by deliveroo . I was never sure if it was the delivery or shop at fault as it arrived cold and soggy due th the foil of the packaging. Further reviews and talking to friends seemed to give me the result that they'd had a similar experience when having then straight from the shop, I've never used them again.
I've had them in the shop and they've been cold/soggy as well. Not just with delivery!
People absolutely love GDK and I have no idea why. I can only assume they’ve never had a kebab elsewhere before. The salad has some pretty colours but that’s about it. The spring rolls are just a stupid addition - like ordering pie and mash and getting some Mini Kievs on the side
Yes, not a fan at all my friend
Agreed they're awful. I've been to 2 different ones and both were average at best. Small portions and expensive too. Service in Sutton Coldfield one is shocking. Reviews all mentioned "great" staff by name (clearly left by their mates at college).
People eat all sorts of crap…I mean, Nando’s is everyone’s favourite. And yes, it’s alright but nothing amazing. I had a really nice kebab the other day from Cyprus Mangal in Pimlico. Much better than this GDK place.
I love it. For me, it tastes great and I don't have any issues with it.
@@charlesgund4812 Ooh, Cyprus Mangal is right near the Chester, where I stay in London when on a budget. Must check it out, TY! 👍
A doner kebab is a 2am thing on a belly full of ale in this country. They never taste great during daylight hours. Great vid as always Gary. Cheers!

Worst kebabs going this place every single local place is better near me . Garbage! . You was spot on with your first review .
Thanks. Should have stuck to my guns!
As someone of German origins, I almost feel shame to see such dreadful food having the word 'German' attached to it!...The kebab looked just awful ...and the grease on the burger!.. Maybe one day you will get to Germany and try some TRADITIONAL German food! ... I hope your next video will offer up some more palatable delights! .(Let's face it , it is going to take something to do worse than this kebab!)
I will do for sure. I've heard Berlin's kebabs are superb!
Sorry but it looked like something you would fling in the bin. The grease, shocking, your face is telling us everything we need to know. Never had a Doner kebab, and after this I will never have one. You tell it as it is Gary, your honesty is so refreshing
Indeed Ann. It was truly shocking. Means a lot - thank you!
A proper doner from a Turkish place or better yet a shwarma from a middle eastern place will change your mind. This stuff is just wrong and gives kebabs a really bad name.
First review which did not make me hungry 😂I would not have eaten that just by the look of it. I would expect to see that in the bin at the end of the night 😂🎉😂

Aren't all kebabs the epitome of grease anyway??? Every single time I've put a doner kebab in the fridge the next morning the meat's grease has solidified into a cakey thick white substance. Looks like Pritt stick glue and probably performs just as good. Maybe that's how they get all that ' lamb ' donor ' meat ' to bond together and stay upright on that pole.
Don't do kebabs and that looked awful Gary. The things you go through to bring us videos!!!!😊Best wishes Diane 😊😊
Thanks Diane. Take care!
I ordered a GDK online and it was dreadful. Looked just as bad as the food you were served here. Your score was not harsh at all. You’re always very honest in your reviews. I love your videos, I look forward to them! Thanks Gary!
