I saw Steve play this guitar/sitar last night 9/23/2023 at The Venue in Lincoln, CA. I've never seen Steve in my past and he is absolutely a "living legend." He is 80 yo and sings/ plays like a much younger man.
Because of being subjected to decades of “The Joker” and “Fly Like an Eagle”, (which to me, are real low points) I’d forgotten about how much I loved Steve Miller. This, along with several handfuls, are some of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks Mark Marion!
This song could've had such traditional Indian instruments on it like a real sitar and also tambura (which the bass drone represents), dilruba (the synth lines), the swarmandal (sweeping chimes) and shehnai (the oboe).

Played this on the Greatest Hits cassette a million times. It's the closing track on that compilation.
I dragged out my copy of that cassette just a couple of weeks ago. Still sounds great!
