❤🙏🙏🙏It’s time to kneel on the floor, just did and pray: 3 times in a row: thank you, thank you, thank you for this music. I wouldn’t be still here if I hadn’t that energy resource and currently health boost getting in my cells, that’s a fact. I love this music now at least 40 years, consistently. And had the chance to listen twice to the band live when being in my early twenties in Frankfurt and mid fourties‘ in Turkey. It has changed my way to see things in life without anybody noticing it. I am glad some lucky coincidence, my friends and even my sisters made me get to hear cool music a long time ago.
I was 17 and had a complicated jaw operation that day. I was in a lot of pain and threw up, but I wanted to watch the concert on TV. I even recorded the radio broadcast on a music cassette. I listened to it 1,000,000 times, and I must have had to stick the tape in the cassette 10 times :-) This particular performance by the Steve Miller Band has stayed with me my whole life, despite the occasional sound problems they had. Greetings from Germany!
In Australia we loved Fly Like An Eagle & Book Of Dreams & his songs like The window, Wish upon a Star, Fly like an Eagle, Wild Mountain Honey, Serenade from The Stars & Winter Time are written into psychedelic rocks history as massively influential albums!!~~~
I have been a fan since 1973 when a friend talked about the Joker album coming out. In Germany in the Army. He and I formed a duet act and we performed The Joker live in a small club. Steve has always done lots of variations live of his songs. He often changed members of his band and some ended up on some great records of other groups like Journey then some had great albums of their own. Boz Scaggs who actually wrote and sang the original "Babe's calling me home". The harmonica player here opened for Steve at the Inglewood Forum in 1976 and I was there. Sadly we lost Norton Buffalo to cancer a few years back. Norton was one of only a few that was with Stevie Guitar Miller. My farvorite drummer Steve had was Gary Malaber, infact just a very distictive drummer period even did work for another fave of mine Eddy Money and Van Morrison! My biggest influence as a composer is Still Steve!💖
How Steve Miller Band isn't praised more than they are is beyond me. If you listen to their albums from the 60s and 70s they were ahead of their time, very progressive and experimental, and transcended many different genres. They should be considered equals with the likes of Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Frank Zappa, etc. ❤👍✌️🤘
The 80's, the 80"s... sorry to see Steve Miller Band playing in such tuxedoes and all that dancing on the stage... Luckly his guitar was still sounding like ever.
Was the absolute highlight of the 1983 Rockpalast Festival on the Loreley Rock in St. Goarshausen, Germany. I still remember that the entire festival was broadcasted live on German television and on all German radio stations that Saturday. Back then, I recorded the gig of the Steve Miller Band on a BASF cassette tape. I still have the tape today and honor it!
What professionalism! What perfection for a live band! The only flaws I see are that Rock'n'Me, Jungle Love and Jet Airliner are too fast. But they are still done without a hitch. Kudos to Steve, Gerald Johnson, Gary Mallaber, the late Norton Buffalo, Kenny Lee Lewis and Byron Allred, as well as Rockplast/German TV for such a great audio and video recording - never thought I would see "Macho City" performed live on stage - too bad it is cut short.
AHH. THE OLD DAYS CRUISING IM MY 77 BLACK TRANS AM, T TOPS OFF, ON VACATION WITH MY CASSETTE POWER BOOSTED STEREO PLAYING " FLY LIKE AN EAGLE " OUT IN THE DESERT SOUTHWEST.
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you. 0:03
31:10 Norton solo. I was in 3 or 4 bands with Buffalo. Man, he was always putting them together. he was working B of A in San Fransisco and had to hitchhike to band practice one day. He gets a ride who offered hash and when we all get to practice we get an instant gig in an Oakland studio backing a piano player. Norton could have played circles around the piano player but since he was paying Norton had to sit on a stool in silence. Even in the Miller Band he didn't get the recognition he deserved.
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you.

One of the best concerts I have ever seen is Steve Miller. A professional player and songwriter of higher reknown
One of the most under rated musicians ever.
Nope, he made loads of cash and a no time was he ever underrated.
@@replicas11 Right! He was basically a campfire/chord guy.,,,,very over rated just caught the 70's stoner vibe at the right time

Echt schon 40 Jahre her und ich war dabei. Toll, dass du das reingestellt hast. Rock`n me mit gleich zwei Soli von Steve Miller, toll!
The most influential band nobody mentions

The 80's, the 80"s... sorry to see Steve Miller Band playing in such tuxedoes and all that dancing on the stage... Luckly his guitar was still sounding like ever.

Great memories! Watched this when I was 16 or thereabouts. Rockpalast was great! And so was Steve!
Was this the precursor to Born to Be Blue? Tux and tie...Steve was fun then even now
Tremendo grupazo
Macho City!! Macho man where's he at?
Welcome Steve in Germany next Time.....I Hope🔊🔊🔊
Circle of Love
The reason that the more commercial songs are being played faster and shorter, is because of the influence of New Wave music during this period.
wayback 2012 In japan, I happen to get a boot copy of their album ,which I have to keep lookin for for so long. love this band
Steve is underestimated guitar ist...I like the music he writes...brought me thru HARD TIMES...
Les Paul encouraged him. Les Paul taught him how to play guitar. And gave him singing lessons. The Les Paul
Wow... tuxedoes ??? Love the background dancing musicians. Band sounds great back then.
lol steve's tuxedo phase.....i think in was in early 80s thing...donnie iris used to have the same get up
AHH. THE OLD DAYS CRUISING IM MY 77 BLACK TRANS AM, T TOPS OFF, ON VACATION WITH MY CASSETTE POWER BOOSTED STEREO PLAYING " FLY LIKE AN EAGLE " OUT IN THE DESERT SOUTHWEST.

Steve Miller wherever God speaks
This would have been an awesome concert if you hadn't had to stick a commercial in every 15 seconds
I don't dance but if I did dance it would be to the music of the Steve Miller Band!
i wont say something like underrated, he plays different to guitar heroes but hes a very good strat player
GREAT JOB GUYS
anyone know where i can find a live performance of in my first mind?!?! it’s a truly hidden gen
Rock'n me is the SOUND OF THE 80s... listen to that bass and lead guitar riffs... TOTALLY FUCKING 80s TOTALLY
Totally fucking horrible.
Hard to believe this is the same guy who cut the seminal 'Sailor' album.
i might see them next year 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍☺☺☺☺☺
Can we have a good time 😁
Ich war dabei🎉❤🎉❤😊😊
Great performance
Where's Boz Scaggs? He is needed on Living in the USA very badly thats Boz's song when he was with SMB
31:10 Norton solo. I was in 3 or 4 bands with Buffalo. Man, he was always putting them together. he was working B of A in San Fransisco and had to hitchhike to band practice one day. Nothing cooler than playing 6 maracas at once
maybe the surprise guitar solo at the end of it keeps me wondering why...... : )
THESE ARE REAL MUSIC SHOWS!!!!!!
the Rockpalast!
Norton Buffalo R.I.P. He is providing vocal, harmonica. check out his own band. we grew up together.
apparently WHO DO YOU LOVE is really titles YOU YOU YOU (?????)
yes
35:45 the best !
Anyone knows how the howling noise sound at 1:02:49 was made ? What synth was used ?
Good concert, but couldn't believe my eyes when Steve only wore his guitar on Jungle Love.
Why no Swingtown or Heart Like a Wheel?
Yikes Michael Jackson's hair on fire in the audience 54:57
Wow he aged fast
43:00. Rock’n Me sounded kind of rushed and choppy with that other guitarist playing it.
Steve’s playing is a lot funkier than that cat.
Why is the concert not full length ?
Wow, that Rock'n Me update sure didn't age well. Yeesh.
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere
Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you.
hmmm kenny lee lewis appears to play lead throughout the show.....very jumpy : )
Wtf is that instrumental in the introduction? Sounds like something from a video game
Love Steve, but can we agree the bow tie is a bad wardrobe choice?
Thanks for the great love ❤️ and support you show me as a special fan of mine😍, I hope you won't stop listening to tracks , and thanks for your sincere
Compliment and love towards my tracks ❤️may God bless you.
TUTU BEIN
Why did Steve NEVER play the title track CIRCLE OF LOVE. Perhaps his best song ever. Shame the album was dominated by pop hits such as Abracadabra
Yes heart like a wheel ; best song of the A side. But i like the whole album.
Christ, is there one of them that's not full of coke?...
Goliipandi hufdo uff dduyretv
that over-riffing pyscho playing on The Joke has just GOT to go
Sad to see such a great, straight forward rock and roll/blues band go Vegas/Hollywood! It definitely LOST something!
Bitchen people.
Love Steve Miller band but this was one lame azz entrance ha
The music is great offcourse but they look ridiculous. I know this is 1983 but that is no excuse.
1983 is an excuse . Get with the times Hippy 😄
Wow, cornball stage antics by modern standards.
Was für ein Schrott... Das sag ich nicht nur selten sondern nie... hier trifft es zu.🤢
