I think the guitar story is longer than the song... Fantastic night!

I saw him at the Pacific Amp. last August. He played a two hour show at age 79.

I wish I could have been there, in the 70's and in 2017.

I was there for this concert, I had underappreciated the talents of Steve Miller until this night. Incredible musician, awesome lighting and staging, great story about the guitar behind this classic song. Thanks for posting the entire song!

I bought the Fly Like An Eagle album in 1077 and this was my favorite song. This is however, the first time I see the Sitar Guitar he played bak then.

This was truly a magical moment. This man with this guitar. Everything I ever dreamed. The video is worth it for music fans, old school. I swear. Don't miss it!

I, too, saw the concert at the Greek last night and wished I'd video taped this story. Wow, coolest story ever about Steve Miller finding this guitar in the "close out" bin at the music store. And then you get to hear him play that same guitar that produced all those unique sounds on "Wild Mountain Honey." Thanks for posting!

I was there last night and thought this was a cool part of the concert. I went online today to find out more about that guitar and found your viedo. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

This was one of the best shows I have seen. Thank you to 100.3 The Sound, Uncle Joe, for the great tickets! Really going to miss The Sound.

I grew up going to a music store in the 70's & 80's that had a rack of Japanese electrics for $40 and up!😂
That Danelctro is now a high dollar collectable!😂

Made my day , whoa . This has always been one of my faves , not just from Steve , but an all around favorite . I always thought that was a harp guitar , now I know it's a sitar guitar , great . Steve I love you man 💓 , you never made a bad song ,

Sometimes you just get lucky what you capture (Steve Miller's story). Frampton's story of his Gibson Les Paul being reunited after the plane crash was pretty cool too. Backstage they said they were filming Steve Miller's show (they didn't say if it would be for a dvd), but it explains the camera man that blocked Steve and Peter the entire 4 songs they jammed together. At least I had a fairly clear shot of this one song with the story.

Saw him last night in Oregon. Marty Stuart and the Superlatives opened, and that was my main interest. I heard his early stuff in SF in the sixties and seventies and lost interest in the top 40 era to tell you the truth. I never really appreciated his musicianship until seeing him at State Fair. My bad. What guy, what a band. His Drummer, Mr. Knudtson is dynamite. Great show and sure enjoyed it.

Oh, gosh, I can't stand the ditzy women who giggle and chatter through concerts!!! Like everything is all about them! I'll tell them to shut up in a heartbeat, too. It blows their little pea-sized minds! lol

I have never heard so much audience chatter at a concert in my life! I would not have been popular because i would've been telling people to shut up!!!
