Excellent fridge fix ! I have no doubt that this episode has or will help somebody with their fridge issues; so, thank you for putting these type of videos out there. You two are back to hitting your strides again ! Bravo...
Finally (sadly) all caught up on your videos! So much fun - thank you for letting all of us live our sailing dreams through your channel. BTW some of us enjoy that "boring" stuff like hydraulic steering seal repairs! Can't wait for more videos.
So the fridge controller PCB got fried in the heat. Possibly solder joint. At least it forced a good upgrade to prevent food poisoning. Land equivalent to sea sickness 🙂
I live in Cedar Key Florida and was told that Starlink was not available in my area. We had so much trouble with AT&T it would be off for two weeks at a time so we got Starlink. I am watching you now on Starlink and even in stormy weather, it is perfect. Now if the power goes off we can plug the system into a car battery inverter so they can't stop us cuz.
Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. Taylor, but great to see you recovered and loved the excitement for heading off for the start of season 2 in Baja
Great seeing y’all back on the water!!! The girls all seemed super excited to be on the hook and exploring the beach. Just keep them away from yucky yucca plants. 😊 Great upgrade on the fridge. Choose your ice cream wisely!!! ❤
So happy to see you guys out cruising again! Awesome snorkeling in this episode. Taylor, I like your new haircut! Mike, great job fixing/ upgrading the fridge. An action packed episode. :)
Glad to see you back out chasing the waves, or being chased lol, hope the coming season treats you good. Looking forward to joining you as you share part of YOUR life with us. I hope that "Star Link" works out the way the hype leads us to believe, would sure make your life a little less hectic. Take care, be safe and sail on.
Hi Mike and Taylor! Wow, so happy for you being back sailing! Great job on the ‘fridge repair! We would love to have that much room in ours! We’ve been looking at Starlink for our boat as well, you’ll have to report its effectiveness once you’ve used it for a while. So happy to see that Lucy’s eye healed up so well, that’s wonderful. Have fun and stay safe! -Fraser and Jeff
Welcome back .... where is the "ugly" part of the starlink install ?.... how did you run the cable? That is the biggest challenge (I think) so really wanted to see how you run the cable.
Honestly it was super easy. It just runs down the davit through an opening in the cockpit coaming and follows all other cables to the electrical panel. Only took me about 15 minutes!
Another great video guys!!! Could you possibly do a little update on how the Starlink system works that would be fantastic. I’m considering purchasing one, but I would like to see a real review of how well it works when cruising.
love you're tales and travel down the Baja. but what happened to the Eps between the 60's through 76? I've been following you guys since you left Seattle.
Good to see you two Back in Action on the water❤ I can’t wait to get back to La Paz in December. Any ideas or plans where you might be around Christmas and News years? Fair winds 😊
There are so many places we want to see! Our plans are far from definite, but we don’t have circumnavigation as a goal. Also it’s tough with the dogs because many countries have strict rules about bringing pets in, so the South Pacific isn’t realistic for us at the moment. Heading South this year!
Awesome video guys... yall are one beautiful couple. Mike , did you do any modeling... make me think of an American Lucifer. Love from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦
Food poisoning is the WORST! OMG, so, so bad. such a trooper to get through that and keep on filming. I think I would just lay there and wish for death. Thankfully, the fridge is better than ever and you are on your way to more adventure. We can't wait. Each week is such a treat and the underwater scenes were really exciting today. I know it's hard editing all that. The color grading was amazing. It was like swimming alongside you guys. What's the big plans for the bimini? Going to make it last for another season or will you have one made while you are in Mexico? Break Out Another Thousand...
Wow thank you so much Don! You make us want to keep getting better. We’re hoping we can just get the Bimini restitched, most of the material is okay, it’s just the thread that is failing.
Curios: is that the RV starlink? Any updates on how well its working on the water? I’m considering one for my boat, but the maritime starlink is crazy expensive.
It works great! We actually went with the residential and activated portability. That way we can change the service address if they enforce the 2 month rule being outside our home country. We can always switch it to RV but you can’t go the other way ATM.
It sure would be nice to have in the heat! If we ever have to spend an extended time at a dock or yard in heat like that we’d have to get a portable unit, but otherwise we don’t feel the need for a built in. Plus we don’t have the power to run it!

Starlink will be a game changer for y'all.
Also, never get rid of the bloopers at the end! 😁
Rapidly becoming one of my favorite RUclips sailing channels.
That makes us so happy to hear!

Thanks for watching!
Best bloopers and a great video too.

Very possible, it was acting up before the summer, maybe the heat killed it!

The girls missed their daily swims! The fridge is SO much better now. Chocolate ice cream all the way for us!

Thanks guys! We should do a video update on the SL, but it’s working perfectly! Highly recommended.
Great videos enjoy watching you guys wow eye candy 👌🏾
So glad you liked it!
I would like to hear an update every couple of months about how Starlink is working for you.
We’ll try to give some updates, but so far it’s been fantastic.
Thanks for another great video! Fair winds to Baja!

We will try to do a little update, but spoiler alert, it works amazingly well!
love you're tales and travel down the Baja. but what happened to the Eps between the 60's through 76? I've been following you guys since you left Seattle.
So glad you’re enjoying them! They are all there. If you go to our page and click videos and you can see them all chronology.

We’ve got some plans with family around the holidays and plan to head to the mainland after the new year.
Thanks for the video.
Wondering what your long term plans are? Would you want to do a circumnavigation? Or are there places you'd like to see?

Haha nope, definitely no modeling in my past. Thank you for the kind words though!

Seems like maybe a thermostat issue?
We bypassed the thermostat and SSC, so we knew it wasn’t either of those.
Next time you're going to built in an AC?
It sure would be nice to have in the heat! If we ever have to spend an extended time at a dock or yard in heat like that we’d have to get a portable unit, but otherwise we don’t feel the need for a built in. Plus we don’t have the power to run it!
Everyone with boats getting starlink, I got my starlink and no boat 🙄
Haha. Half way there?
