After a very long pause here's another video from me!
Eyes On Me, from Final Fantasy VIII Piano Collections. A heart-warming piece I enjoy playing very much.
There are subtle deviations from the original in there. This is only the second take, so I hope I made a good one ;-)

Its crazy how much time has passed since i first played this game. i remember my dad got this for me at a pawnshop we went to and i rushed home and started playing it but didnt have a memory card so i kept having to play through the first part over and over till i finally got one like a week later, but life was so simple. all i cared about back then was simple things, when i could get home to play games again and just hanging with friends and just having fun as a kid. i was 11 back then, im 28 now. bills, responsibilities and real life problems and the diagnosis is a fairly serious medical condition, life has changed so much for me as im sure it has for all of you, but this song brings me back to a great time and place in my life before it all went so wrong, thank you for posting this.
you are right. im 28 too. man.. often i wish that i can go back in time. im in tears everytime i think about this. try your best to have a positive mindset. try your best to have always happy days. you don't have to have sad days. things will go better. do wha makes you happy ❤️
I definitely relate to this. Final Fantasy 8 really has impacted my life 🧬 ✨ like no other game has. I grew up playing this game and hanging and talking with a best friend about it in 4th grade ❤️

Hearing this on 2019. This song is so nostalgic. Remembering those simple days, playing this game with not so much good graphics, yet, imagining a great graphics and more realistic in mind. Falling with story of this game so much, as if watching a good movies that will catch your emotions and feelings. I want a remake of this game.

And actually, I haven't played VII all the way through, but I'm very familiar with its score.
The QUALITY of the games has nothing to do with anything. I've never played VIII either. For all I know, it's a steaming pile of crap, and if it is, that would probably be why its score is so underrated.
At this point I'm reasonably sure that you don't know what "score" means in this context, nor what "underrated" means in ANY context, which rather reinforces my assumption that you're at best a stupid kid and at worst a stupid adult.

I think 7, 8 and 10 had the best soundtracks. Never played 9 so I can't voice my opinion on that. Stopped playing ff games after X-2. They just weren't the same anymore. I picked up XV and I enjoyed it but I still have yet to complete it. I did play the shit out of 7, 8 and 10 though.
FFVIII is better than FFVII.

The first 25 seconds has to be one of the most epic beginnings to a piano piece.
WHY IS THIS SO GOOD, THE WAY YOUR PIANO / U SOUND WHEN YOU PLAY IT, IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANYONE'S VERSION. IT PUTS FORTH THE EMOTIONS set in the story. Timeless love that cuts through all that time compression BULL&*@ of ultimecia lol.
I remember late night in 2004 on a music requesting program, my sister requested this song to be played and it was granted. We were just watching at the TV, lights out and listening to her request.
This was her fave song and final fantasy was one of her fave games too.

I remember hearing this song when playing FFVIII back in the days 1999, it touched me in so many ways and still does to this day.
It's one of the reasons I've now, 24 years later picked up one of my old dreams of learning to play the piano.

Listening to this in 2020. It still hasn't failed to make me cry. The piano version of eyes on me is extremely emotional. This song (and the game) means a lot to me. I have a lot of beautiful childhood memories with FF8 and everything related to it. ♥
Yeah many piano versions of FF songs in those days were great. FF8 was my first. It's extremely bittersweet for me because my older cousin who introduced me to it and gaming in general got covid and couldn't recover. It wasn't until afterwards that I realized how much of an impact he had on my life. Even just a video like this reminds me of him and it's probably gonna mess with me for the rest of my life.

ikr, there is not a single bit to dislike about the music or the performance. This deserves more views than the music we now have today.
I remember finding the mp3 to this on bluelaguna around 2003 and I kept it on my mp3 player along with a lot of this guy's other work. In '07 I turned 18 and went homeless, kept this music throughout my adventures so it's really more nostalgic than ever before with FF8 being such a classic.

FFVIII was my very first Final Fantasy. It was an amazing experience I also tried to play this song in the piano. So beautiful. Brings me back to good old memories and lived a simple and non complicated life.

It's the nostalgia getting to me a suppose. It reflects how well the composer was able to make songs that illicit certain emotions in the listener.

Man, in my opinion, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts has some of the most beautiful video game musics ever composed. They both just really bring out the inner beauty of one's musical skills. And this is one of a great example. Just my opinion.

I have never heard this song played anyone this beautiful. and I mean it. Exactly the tempo which can great influence feelings. A performance that can tell a beautiful story. I have heard of many pro pianists who tried to play this but it didnt give the same feeling to listeners like you did. Yours doesnt sound mechanical and out control.
