*One year is based on the fact that I've use the keyboard for 12+ hours a day ⭐
This is an extended opinion, everything is my own opinion after extended usage and comparison with different products.
@Dygma Lab
Background music by Bensound ❤
I also use a split keyboard with a trackball in the middle. The two halves are slightly tilted up (15°), and the trackball is raised to stay level with the inner edges of the two halves. You don't have to give up tenting.
It's really helpful! Thanks so much!
a trick : watch series at flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies lately.
@Leonardo Jake yup, I have been watching on Flixzone for since november myself :)
When you ordered the new dygma keyboard did you have to add the case, neuron, and pads to the order or did it come with the keyboard when you ordered the keyboard alone?
What switches did you pick for this second keyboard?
great review
I'm ordering the new one now, what keycaps are you getting and why?
Hey mate, I'm going with the Kailh BOX White for the home one and the Kailh Silent Brown for the office one. I'll make sure to compare both when they arrive 👍🏻
Can we buy the new palm pads somehow? I see you have one extra for the trackball that looks like a good idea
It seems so, they have a page for add-ons now and the palms are listed there :)
$35 for two pieces of rubber seems expensive
@@DavidBrown-bs7gg honestly make your own and velcro it
Is this better than egro dox?
Would you recommend this keyboard for somebody who works on spreadsheets often?
I don't see why not, if you use the numpad a lot I'd recommend setting a second layer with it and you're set!
I have a Dygma Raise and I actually just got a separate numpad since the staggered keys throw me off when I’m entering numbers
@@imthestein I'v considered purchasing a separate numpad but I don't have much Desk space. It's just the decimal that throws me of for some reason 🤷♀️
@@gatitam2875 you could look into a preonic, its ortholinear
if you want a split there is the ergodox too
This is a pretty late reply to the comment but Dygma has been teasing an ortholinear keyboard for a while now which would probably be even better for mapping a numpad on a separate layer.
what is the trackball you're using during the typing test?
Hey, I'm using a Elecom DEFT PRO basically since it came out, if you can't find it you may have a look at the Kensington Orbit Fusion which is somewhat similar.
are u getting the defy?
Hi Green Wolf, I will be getting two Defy's and will be doing a first impression review after one or two weeks of using it. I'm also planning on comparing it to the Raise so keep tuned 👍🏻
@@Mywk 2 even, why? This review is 2 years old now, how is the raise been holding up all this time? I want to get the defy as well. looks better then the moonlander, however i dont like all the rounded edges on the defy. The raise looks better, but the layout of the defy certainly is more ergonomic.
Yohh I'm thinking about getting the new one, is it worth it?
Hey, I haven't had the chance to get my hands on the newest one. I'm curious about the improvements, if I end up getting one I'll review it.
you should do stab mods and lube your switches, i think you would love it
I'll definitively give it a try at some point, wouldn't that ruin the clicky sound and feeling of it tho? I personally prefer to feel that small bump as I type.
@@Mywk you if you have a clicky switch might not wanna lube, i hate the sound of that hahahahahahaha
What switches did you get again?
but you can still lube your stabs to get rid of rattle
@@coffee1080 Ah that sums it up then, I got the Kailh Speed Gold and I love how it sounds, I believe it's no longer available as a choice for the Dygma Raise tho. I have two keys that rattle a little bit on one of mine so I'll definitively try your suggestion!
@@Mywk ah the clicky speed switch, yeah rattle comes from the ones with a metal bar in them, the stabilizer keys like enter, space, backspace, shift and such
found it!
What mouse do you use there?😂
Hey Cyber, it's a trackball, the ELECOM DEFT PRO!
no F1-F12 no buy.
Low profile switches would be nice too.
ETA: lolwut, no delete either?!?
I just programmed one of my thumb keys to be the delete
The theory behind this design is that you shouldn't have to move your hands away from the standard position. This only slows down your typing.
Just move them to where your fingers are. I'm used to using the number pad with my right hand. I set the number pad to "uio jkl m,." and the arrow keys to "wasd".
@@mrcvry it don't work in practice when u need to do Ctrl + F_. Now u need to do 3 keys and it's a shi1show
@@a55tech OK. I don't use the F keys much.
The only program I can think of at the moment that would use the Ctrl-F keys would be Battlebit, and I could make a separate layer for it.
More important are the home/end keys and cursor keys.
@@mrcvry yes and Del. Del should not be a combo
