I am an extroverted person, but even I am, taking calls still gives me anxiety. I believe it is because of a constant thinking of what will be the customers concerns or will the customer request supervisor at the start of the call.

yes too much pressure.. since the higher ups will only see you as numbers to be placed on phones to answer calls.. modern day slavery ... everyday you wake up thinking that youll be abuse again and again by a customer and all you say is sorry for what my company did...other companies have these NPS or net promoter... its a survey that customers answers to rate the company ...AGAIN to rate the company...however once the customer rates the company in a negative way and you answered that phone call it is you who will be blame by your higher ups ...not the company process... if your planning to work in a call center please STOP do yourself a favor and look for other option... BPOs are living hell...

It's the company's fault and managers don't do nothing about that. So, yes, BPO is hell on earth. I have multiple times on this job that I want to throw my computer and tell my supervisor to go to hell.
This is just the very first call. Sort of a celebration for doing well and pushing through his training. Im sure he was left along right after this one.

My first call was a disaster🤣🤣🤣 the thing is that I had all the words and scripts in my mind that I already reserved for my first call but when I tried to talk to the customer I got speechless and my grammar and pronunciation was terrible😅🤣🤣 but nobody's perfect we learned from our experience.

I work in a call center and trust me guys it's the toughest job on earth.. You need to be mentally strong to handle 60-70 calls with AHT, OCR, HOLD, WRAP MOST IMPORTANTLY PROCESS process updates because each call is with different scenario and customer survey.. Very soon I'll get out of it.
You are right I also waste my 8 years in a international bpo, its such a fucking sector, no growth only presser, right know I left the bpo sector, and join pharma industry, I m so happy in marketing profile as a medical representative,
I worked at a inbound, call centre for a phone Company ..l was so stressed out, maybe a 2 min break between calls..after another non stop..trying to resolve customer situation, and up sell to customer was nerve racking..some customer wanted to end their phone contract early , an verbally abusive when they are told, have to pay end contract fees..l hung up the phone alot.one thing, l dont take any form of abuse..lots of customers , heard dial tone on a regular...
I worked in a call centre for two years. And honestly it’s probably one of many jobs I’ve had that had been able to give me security, good pay and also a lot of chances to stay there after many times breaching (I was working for the bank and had to ask security questions) and I breached a few times but they understood me a lot as it’s human error. So I can say I’ve had a good experience and also the people who work there are lovely :) it is a very tough job but rewarding
Depends what the call center service is to do, wen there isnt much to say and 99% of chance the option is the correct than there isnt much to worry about, however there are call centers where the options one has to get around and find a solution is null and then its where it gets intense

Just did my first call and yeah the nerves were taking over. Dude started off with his breakup...... "oh, I'm very sorry to hear that" lol. But honestly after doing in home sales it was not as bad as I though it was going to be. Sales helped out, being yelled at in person or hitting a roadblock while still trying to sell. So I feel if you have had any customer experience (especially in person) having dealt with people all across the spectrum of happiness and anger, then a call center job should be something you can handle.

I remember our practice phonetime, we were on our last week of PST. I was really nervous that was my first time to take in calls. When our trainer said, "Okay Guys, Log In and make sure you press AVAIL" I didn’t know what exactly the feeling was but I can't hide it my both hands were shaking. Our practice phonetime only lasted for 3 hours. My first call was from an old woman requesting to change the shipping address on her order since I was nervous I can't remember what taught to me when I was on training I forgot all the process haha however I was able to finish the call, the order was beyond the window timeframe so I just informed her that I won't be able to modify the address. It was very difficult for her to understand me since she's not used to my accent so I spoke really slowly so she could get what I want to say and boom I survived my 1st call hahaha This video makes me miss those days.

The real training begins in the production floor..not in the training room. Yes, everyone will feel nervous,anxious, as well.as excited especially if you are a newbie..but, things will get better as familiarization with the call flow goes by..
