Ill never forget these shows getting me through college, just gave me something to look forward to at lunch everyday and was so inspiring and started me on my passion with Motorsports
I've always enjoyed firm C's over saggy D's, and my taste in cars is exquisite, I didn't however realize that they walked hand in hand. The more you know.
you guys are incredible! I've seen every episode so far. This network will go far. If I were an automotive executive of any sort (either for a racing brand or a tuner company) I would be FOOLISH to not pick up the phone and offer my sponsorship today. This thing will blow up simply because one can IMMEDIATELY tell that this show was done right: with heart and soul, care and quality put in. Keep up the great work guys - this is truly incredible.
@InitialDAmine the customer wanted a GT2 RS that he could drive in the snow and in traffic. this is what they came up with, and they did a damn good job at it.
Did he say 4.3L turbocharged GT3 engine? I don't think I have ever heard of a set up like that. I know that SharkWerks has 4.1L strokers but not 4.3 especially with turbos. Can we please get a thorough review and test on a car with a set up? It has to be an amazing 1100 hp daily driver. Lol!
So the guy that commissioned the car wanted an AWD PDK GT2RS...that doesn't even resemble a GT2RS. The whole point of the GT2RS is that it's a firebreathing 2WD manual monster. Take those two things away and you just have a nicely tuned Turbo S.
@Moatazbahr he encouraged it. This car is extremely durable. The owner, as well as the guys at BBi know that I can drive a car without breaking it, and encouraged me to see what the car could do. The owner said he uses launch control every single day, and the car is a daily driver with 17,000 miles on it.
"stop like an F16 on the deck of the Nimitz." F16's are Air Force planes, and don't land on naval carriers like the Nimitz. Stuff like F18's or any of the other naval air planes are able to land on carriers though. This means that an F16 does not, can not, and will never stop on the deck of the Nimitz, so maybe not the best comparison :)
brilliant. matt farah has a great way of presenting these kind of videos to make them interesting and fun to watch. drive has been great so far, im expecting huge things from you guys!
@HiphopJunkieable the maximum speed is identical to a stock turbo S because it's gear limited to 198 MPH. If you want to go faster you need a rebuilt transmission with different gears or a new final drive setup. I don't have 0-60 numbers but the car runs the quarter mile in 10.2 seconds at 130 mph which is, give or take, what a Veyron does.
Function over form. You are entitled to your own opinion as enumerated by our 1st amendment, but the wheels are light and single hubcentric lug, the wing adds downforce which is much needed in a rear engine mounted rear wheel drive car with 600 plus horsepower.
***** That's not how the word 'semantic' is used, but perhaps English isn't your first language so I won't give you a hard time about it. I wouldn't want to be accused of arguing over semantics.
@phantomloita no they don't. my job is to drive, learn, and teach about cars. not military warplanes. as long as you understood that I meant "people are upgrading brakes," that's all that matters.
i don't have a 1980 vw but you own a car made by a microwave and vcr company? HP doesn' make a car eye appealing and that car is tacky compared to how it came from the show room. That is all i'm saying mr "drives a mitsubishi and thinks he knows what a nice car is" mitsubishi has never won an award for their looks.
@kanundrum it's all custom from BBI. Ohlins shocks and springs, spherical bearings replacing the rubber bushings, and BBI's custom control arm and toe link kit.
Oh, Matt, you sure know how to make a guy want a car, you are awesome at describing the car, you did a fantastic job as I knew you would, so far my favourite part of Drive so far... Also, the angles on camera were brilliant, the production value on this is unbelievable can't wait for all that's to come on this channel!!
@gillanjag the owner encouraged it. The car has 17,000 miles on it and the owner launches the car very single day. He said he once did more than a dozen launches in a single day. it wasn't a problem at all.
I like how what they do makes sense. Unlike some tuners who just push too far. These guys actually make a car better in all aspects and not just faster. Bravo BBi Autosport.
@eurotuner88 I completely disagree. With the proper suspension setup, AWD, and sticky tires, the car is extremely stable through corners, and has a great power to grip ratio. Modern 911's, especially the Turbo S, are not terrifying to drive hard like the old 930 Turbo, in fact they are very easy. But you did really mis-interpret how i used balance quite badly. I was referring to the modifications on the car not leaning too heavily towards just horsepower.
This BBI custom shop looks great. Those guys seem to know what they are making, and also like it. Proper people in a proper place. I whish someday i will be one of their customers.
I definitely like to see segments like this from Matt and the rest of the drive channel. interview with the company and engineers to understand the purpose of the build and the benefits. Keep it up guys!
this is by far the best porsche and performance company ive seen in years they master the balance of a good street car that's why the gtr is so fast cause of balance.
@sw204me what do you mean by "all that"? It's only headers, exhaust, intake manifold, intercoolers, and a tune. That's not much engine work at all. And like I said, it's about the whole package not just horsepower.
No problem. I bought a pair last year. Loved them! Notice the past tense there... Someone broke into my car and stole them. $250 to replace, so I decided to wait a bit before buying a new pair.
@thejackcolorado - if I mess up a car fact and get called out on it, that's one thing. But as someone who has never cared about, not been expected to know about military aircraft, I dont see why everyone expects I should know that. It's not like the show is about fighter jets
Matt, F-16 is a USAF bird, they won't be landing on carriers unless all of land bases are either occupied or destroyed by the enemy. Arresting hook on the Viper and other USAF jets is primarily for emergency scenarios when brakes or hydrolics fail and the jet is in danger of rolling out of runway.
@YTdds i've driven a GT2RS. It wasn't particularly pleasant, and it's ridiculously expensive. By going the route this customer chose he saved money and has a better driving car.
OMG just amazing work, the car is fantastic piece of kit this is the sort of tuning that i like, usually all tuning companies just make car worse but this one actually seems better, fantastic
Ill never forget these shows getting me through college, just gave me something to look forward to at lunch everyday and was so inspiring and started me on my passion with Motorsports
Back when /Drive was the greatest automotive RUclips channel.
An F-16 stopping on an aircraft carrier. My brain is hurting.
Its cute, skinny little landing gear would break off and it would roll off the pointy end/angle deck...
lol....USAF folks everywhere just cringed.
I've always enjoyed firm C's over saggy D's, and my taste in cars is exquisite, I didn't however realize that they walked hand in hand. The more you know.
LOVE his breast analogy! hahaha it is by far the most accurate and best car analogy I've ever heard.

11:22 that lovely sound

This has to be one of, if not the best Tuned episode. Love the balance between what the guys at BBi are saying, Matt and seeing the car
Does the PDK slow shift when not WOT or driving in manual because it kind of sounds like a Tiptronic when upshifting sometimes.....
This is the most beautiful Spoilerkit on a Porsche I have seen for a long long time!!!
So the guy that commissioned the car wanted an AWD PDK GT2RS...that doesn't even resemble a GT2RS. The whole point of the GT2RS is that it's a firebreathing 2WD manual monster. Take those two things away and you just have a nicely tuned Turbo S.
Borderline5440 You should follow your avatar.

the music is a bit loud on this one
@HiphopJunkieable the maximum speed is identical to a stock turbo S because it's gear limited to 198 MPH. I don't have 0-60 numbers but the car runs the quarter mile in 10.2 seconds at 130 mph which is, give or take, what a Veyron does.
oh my god those rims are ugly! they ruin the whole car
Function over form. You are entitled to your own opinion as enumerated by our 1st amendment, but the wheels are light and single hubcentric lug, the wing adds downforce which is much needed in a rear engine mounted rear wheel drive car with 600 plus horsepower.
Bob McAdoo idk i love them
Personally I think they make the car
They are called wheels good sir
I think this car is absolutely everything!!!!
f-16's don't land on aircraft carriers
Lol, I made the same comment ... I guess some people don't realize F16 is an AF bird and can't land on naval carriers :)
He's making an analogy, you get what means don't be a semantic.
***** That's not how the word 'semantic' is used, but perhaps English isn't your first language so I won't give you a hard time about it. I wouldn't want to be accused of arguing over semantics.
You get my point, don't be Hypercritical.
umsic86 He addressed that mistake in the Season Wrap-Up.
@phantomloita no they don't. my job is to drive, learn, and teach about cars. not military warplanes. as long as you understood that I meant "people are upgrading brakes," that's all that matters.
cars so ugly! bumpers wheels hood fuck i mean these guys need to hire someone with eyes if they had anything to do with the look of the car.
And your ugly shit you call a car is?
I think it looks great, minus the colour scheme
i wouldn't be talking if i had a 1980 volkswagen shitbox...
i don't have a 1980 vw but you own a car made by a microwave and vcr company? HP doesn' make a car eye appealing and that car is tacky compared to how it came from the show room. That is all i'm saying mr "drives a mitsubishi and thinks he knows what a nice car is" mitsubishi has never won an award for their looks.
tacky?
it's a clean *PORSCHE* with a black hood and clean wheels?
how's that tacky?
Your shitty vw looks tacky, not this.

She definitely is the total package! What a great combination! I must compliment BBi their exhaust sounds amazing!
@gillanjag the owner encouraged it. The car has 17,000 miles on it and the owner launches the car very single day. He said he once did more than a dozen launches in a single day. it wasn't a problem at all.
The sound of that flat six is just remarkable... excellent job. I may have to call BBi...
Tuned is the only reason I'm subscribed to the drive network. This is great
I will take the DD,s everytime. Great analogy Matt, brilliant.
I like how what they do makes sense. Unlike some tuners who just push too far. These guys actually make a car better in all aspects and not just faster. Bravo BBi Autosport.
This is the most entertaining piece of publicity I've seen. I love it.
wow.....YESSSSS a proper tuner episode. My god this made me happy. Nice work team!!!! It's going to be a great year
@eurotuner88 I completely disagree. There is no substitute best slogan for the best car ever!
@DanFrederiksen who cares if it has a lithium battery? It's power to weight ratio allows it to accelerate as fast as a Veyron.
Finally you guys have filled in the missing space in these car shows.tuned cars are the best
This BBI custom shop looks great. Those guys seem to know what they are making, and also like it. Proper people in a proper place. I whish someday i will be one of their customers.
Such a perfect channel. More of this please.
Matt and crew your video is stellar as usual!
I definitely like to see segments like this from Matt and the rest of the drive channel. interview with the company and engineers to understand the purpose of the build and the benefits. Keep it up guys!
Good Job, nice review, like the choice of car and the review felt natural and real. Drive stepped it up with showing this segment. Keep it up.
this is by far the best porsche and performance company ive seen in years they master the balance of a good street car that's why the gtr is so fast cause of balance.
@pwschuh after reading all these comments, I polled nearly every car guy I spoke to today. Not a single one could tell me the difference.
This was the best video yet to date. Keep it up Matt!
best automotive video about a specific car!!
that final shot was a piece of art.
Just loving the production quality and the music outros!
The analogy is priceless 😆. Nice build!
@CJAEY they do all years of the 911, plus Ferrari, BMW, and GTR tuning.
This channel and FLD are the best in youtube for me!
BBI are some great folks. I liked the interviews with them. Thanks!
Real nice show, Matt is awesome!
Drive is really taking shape now and I love it!
Best video you guys have ever made! I love it.
Simply put... "I love cars!!!" Thanks for that! //Drive FTW
@sw204me what do you mean by "all that"? It's only headers, exhaust, intake manifold, intercoolers, and a tune. That's not much engine work at all. And like I said, it's about the whole package not just horsepower.
"When you get caught having fun, jail time" I used to say that with my 370z I don't what this 5.0 GT have for me in the future haha
drive is the greatest car show on youtube ever
Great video! This has to be your best video yet.
Finally, someone who understands the point of tune and practical car
This video is awesome, and the coolest porsche turbo S ive ever seen...
Matt, your laugh defines the fun factor of a car.
i like that saying "a street car for the track" im feeling it.
Matt, u simply are the best at what you do
BEST VIDEO YET!!!
We need more of this
Love the green calipers on a monochromatic car. Looks awesome.
Matt is excellent as usual, I can't wait for the next Tuned episode !
No problem. I bought a pair last year. Loved them! Notice the past tense there... Someone broke into my car and stole them. $250 to replace, so I decided to wait a bit before buying a new pair.
Man what a great channel and i am so glad i subscribed to this!
I'm loving this! I just hope it stays like this.
Giggity. Thuis is great. Keep it coming Drive, you're putting the old FLD to shame.
from just watching the first 15 seconds i was like "fuck yes this looks cool" great great show
@thejackcolorado - if I mess up a car fact and get called out on it, that's one thing. But as someone who has never cared about, not been expected to know about military aircraft, I dont see why everyone expects I should know that. It's not like the show is about fighter jets
the sound of this 911 turbo is amazing. i yearn for that porsche.
Love the show! Matt Farah has the best job in the world!
great production! i was very impressed. Most of the American productions i have seen are usually hyperactive. This was very balanced.
That's one bad looking Porsche, I love it.
@boy638 no, that's from the "CTS-V Wagon Top Speed Run" episode of The Smoking Tire.
great GREAT GREAT!!!! tuned is amazing and i cant wait for more.
OMG
just amazing work,
the car is fantastic piece of kit
this is the sort of tuning that i like, usually all tuning companies just make car worse but this one actually seems better, fantastic
THAT INTRO GOT ME AMPED UP!
The sound of the turbo, the lag, it just reminds me of driving a diesel truck... dont know if I'd ever fully enjoy a car that evokes that memory
I love this new channel guys you are all doing a great job keep it up
I have the overwhelming desire to own this car. Glad I got to see and here it in real life. Owner seemed like a cool guy.
Outstanding video. Drive, keep it up with the good work.
"Turn up the volume" was an understatement!
the turbo sound is crazy!!!
this dude has the best job. that porsche is perfect
I'm pretty technically literate, but the c-cup description kinda opened my eyes, gave me a better perspective. Literally. lmao
I've been to many other Porsche shops for my rides, Betim, Joey and the crew are as legit as it gets and the only people I do business with.
Ditto on the woman/car anaolgy. Tres bien! I loved it. Great episode!
great show guys! excellent in every way! Can't wait for more!
Very cool car. Most of us can only dream of having something that well balanced.
Wew! That Porsche's turbo was a talker. Fun video guys! keep em commin!
Greatest analogy ever.
Matt keep the attitude its great, awesome show. It would be nice to see cars tuned by people instead of tuning companies.
BBi has become a well known tuner. They are talented engineers.
Love how you a represent de Rasta Man vibrations. Big up and nuff respec, dis show shot!
Matt has found himself. Great job!
