This old man remembers avoiding lockup Th350s WAY back in the day lol. Man, we used to just pick up a “fresh unit” from the junkyard for $50 and we all knew how to rebuild them on a tailgate with a 12 pack. Thanks for videos!

As a clutch guy, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the explanation on the lock up for the converters. I've never been an auto guy. I get why folks like them, but I'm stuck in the old school. It's nice to see how folks make those slush boxes work. Thx
That truck in the beginning brought back so many memories. My dad still has the 67 C10 he bought in 1989 when I was 3. A lot of burnouts…..I mean memories in that truck😉

My only guess would be rockers being aluminum. Got to love the clear view filters. Wish you the best and hope it isn’t too costly.

You were one of the first ones to have a lock up. I remember Ryan Martin when he got a lock up coming to you to ask you about it.

Hell yeah nice too see someone else running a lockup that will definitely give the crow some wings 🪽 going out the back door to the strip. As for the metal Jackie found how many passes do you all have on that combo now it’s better to find it now and fix it then in the middle of a run but that’s definitely a lot of aluminum and gasket material. Love y’all’s videos as always wish we could get longer videos but thank you as always for chiefs tech break downs I always love listening to him break down how stuff works.
The overall layout and editing of the videos has improved drastically. I especially enjoy the story telling when you guys hit the track. Keep the videos coming!

in trade school they explained torque converter as a fan thats plugged in blowing on a fan thats turned off making that fan turn
That's a sweet old chevy truck you got there looks to be a 69. I use to own one back in the day had a SBC in it and put a 454 in it out of a old 70 Impala that got totaled off it had 400hp all stock except intake and headers.
That's one fine truck!

Love the vise grips on the wiper control on the yard truck...the fact that you two talk to us like we are there is just great. As for the metal in the CaddyJack, I suspect the distributor gear is rubbing inside , is that aluminum? I was thinking a bearing but bearings are copper correct?

Yeah, my 25 year old Jeep has a lockup converter, automatically engaged in 3rd sort of like another shift. One can put a switch on it and do it manually, which is great for crawling down hills hold back.
