One of my favorite Matchbox castings, great restoration of the pair as usual. I have the Wild Cat Mustang, I'm still looking out for the earlier casting.
Superb work! The boxes have the most attractive artwork too. I never noticed, until now, that the Wildcat base plate was changed from tongue and 1 rivet: to 2 rivets. Wish Matchbox had continued #8 Mustang, and #22 Pontiac Grand Prix past 1 year of production. Great models. I have one of each in good condition, though not mint, so I'm not touching them.
@@2ahdcat the fragment that donated the other suspension piece was the matchbox cougar in early superfast version. :) the front end is missing with the doors.
nice. :) love the paintjobs. ^^ I found a superfast mustang on ebay, the suspension was broken and someone glued the spoke wheels from the ferrari into the baseplate and painted the body white. it doesn't roll, but one day I'll make it a roller. :) I love to watch your methods to recreate missing parts, and it makes me wonder what you do for a living? if I may ask. and yes, the price tags on superfast mustangs are incredible. :P everybody wants one, it seems.

Hey, the Mercury Cougar with the missing front half, I would have found a good body and cast a mold, then place the rear half in the mold and pour some liquid aluminum in the casting. Melt down parts from bad Matchboxes and then make new parts.

Great video yes the ford mustang with superfast wheels is rare ive restored a couple of these ive also got the white one with superfast wheels it is playworn but im going to leave it i recently picked up no33 lamborghini miura yellow with superfast wheels which is very rare unfortunatly the roof has been stepped on so its only suitable for spares
