YOU DID IT!!!!! You go girl!!! I was rooting for you!!! Can we get Ellen a trophy over here please? She pulled it off despite the odds!!! You did a wonderful job!
I am absolutely going to make this quilt square. Thank you for doing this this video. I have done so many different quilt squares but was intimidated by the gingham pattern. I love how simple you made it. Thanks for all your videos. I enjoy watching you and Meghan.
One of the very many reasons I adore you and your spirit of embracing the imperfections. I don’t blame Meghan for tapping out. Lol. And I tip my hat to you and your carry on attitude Lynne !! Bravo !! 😘
Your gingham star is beautiful! You inspire me to give it a try. I really like the soft blue color you got by mixing the blue and green. I think you did quite well estimating a scant 1.25 inch and dividing 6 inches into 5 parts. I can't imagine the original barn quilts being exact in their measurements but from the road on a galloping horse who could tell?
Wowza!!!! Good for you for plowing through. I’m kinda in Meghans camp….. this would make me crazy. But I admire you for doing it your way. It’s a very pretty piece. Well done!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
When this first popped up I avoided it. Sorry, it looked hard! After finally relenting I was so relieved to see your relaxed take on this challenge. It turned out lovely, and am definitely tempted to give it a try.
Lynne…..girl, one minute in, and I am excited !!!! I love that you have the Nautical Flag instruction booklet….I think I need that (you know being a Cape Codder who lives in Virginia) lol. Ok back to your video…ps I love the 4 squares of ‘nautical flag’ wall decor in your cottage…I did try to decipher it, but 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I had already said, "No way" when ya'll were half way into the measuring so I had to laugh when you said Meghan left. Should have known you'd pull it off!! It's truly gorgeous!!!
Hello. I just tried my very first barn quilt and the acrylic paint peeled off. It did not adhere to the wood. I was using Liquitex Basic. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi Steve. We use our Fusion Mineral paint which is formulated for indoors and out. It also has a high level of durability and if the wood is prepped appropriately it’s a great choice. The quilt must also be sealed on all sides to prevent any moisture from penetrating , which will also lift paint. I hope this helps!
@@stevehaycraft1901 I would imagine so. In order to get the best results, really do need to use the correct materials for your project. If you try another one I’d recommend trying our paints. 😊.

Loved video. I have made one barn quilt. Fascinated by them. Thanks for another creative video.
What a great project! I laughed out loud when you said you lost Meghan!😂 💙
She was SO done with it! She will readily admit, she’s not into it 😂😂😂
I absolutely love it. And I think it’s better and more of a homemade art without the taped lines!!!! I have to try this
I like it so much better all distressed! You should start with a simple quilt. We have kits!

@@ellenjgoods Thank you for your reply. Should I have primed the plywood? I just painted it with indoor paint and then tried to paint on top of that.
