Meat markets and support local butchers.
I agree, but there are no local farmer markets and butchers anymore. They closed all ours down, I remember when I was younger my parents bought like this and grew their vegetables. But don't you know, they don't even allow you to anymore, so many of our local farmers who grew on their lands and raised their own animals farms, govt has put a stop to it. So much hassle of paper work and trying to do it, made them stop. So yeah only big Manufacture farms and we wonder why we all get so sick and not healthy.

Does anyone have any resources they'd recommend on raising chickens and roosters? I've been doing my own research but just curious. :)
Diamond, do you live in the US? First thing I'd suggest doing before anything is checking with your local town/city hall and see if you are even allowed to raise them. Most do allow it, but alot of towns will have very different rules on how many, what the enclosure looks like & how much space you need etc. Just a helpful tip before you get started :)

Anything that is packaged, canned, bottled and have a shelf life, has preservatives.
That's not even close to being true. It's a little closer to being true if you count salt and sugar as preservatives, but while they do act as preservatives, their primary purpose is for flavor, and being a little closer to being true in this case is still far from being true. I'll just name one of countless examples: unsalted potato chips. The only ingredients are potatoes and vegetable oil.
Facts 💯
MaximRecoil that’s false. There are about 15 ingredients in most bags of potato chips. You clearly don’t read labels

Ibrahim Genex I disagree with this. There are a lot of organic items where you can literally taste the difference. I can’t say it is true of all organic items, but I can taste the difference between organic fruit and non organic fruit myself, for example. Veggies, not so much, though. Flours, by far organic flours make much tastier homemade breads, cakes, and cookies.
NOTHING TASTES :RIGHT " ANYMORE
Ibrahim Genex, you are so right....... 'Organic' is the biggest joke to come along in grocery stores in 25 years.
Last time I went to the grocery store (Kroger), I was looking at the "fresh fish" counter. The guy came out of the back and told me if it was him, he wouldn't buy from the counter. I asked why. He said, "All we do is thaw out the frozen bagged (store brand) fish and display it." Frozen filets it is.
I worked in the deli department of a grocery store in Pittsburgh, Pa and we had a rotisserie that cooked whole chickens. When the chickens were raw if they felt slimey or had a bad smell we were told the fill the prep sinks in the deli with hot water and a very small amount of bleach. Then we would dip the chickens in the bleach water, then rinse them with plain cold water, then cook them in the rotisserie. I was just doing what I was told by the deli department manager.
its actually fine
@@rig4365 What is fine? Dipping raw chicken in bleach water?
This is why asian markets sells live fish. It is prepared on the spot to ensure freshness and quality. Personally, I have never bought fish in styrofoam packaging. I only buy whole fish and ask the seller to cut it for me.
Immigrants like me buy fish and meats from our ethnic/international markets, where we can identify the fish and meat, before they are cut, sliced and filleted. As a person born and bred on the west coast of Africa, I can identify almost every fish by its physical features.
Pretty neat. We should all know more about what we're eating.
You should make a RUclips vid to educate people on how to identify exactly what they are paying for. Change the world😊

@J M Nope. I have a perfect bmi and no known health problems. You should do proper research before speaking. Being vegan is safe if done correctly. The science is there. You just have to read
It's scary. When I was trained in food safety, we covered the difference between ground beef and select cuts like steak. We were told that we can eat steak that's cooked to a bloody rare because the outside - which is exposed to bacteria, is cooked, and that the inside isn't exposed in that way, and is therefore safe to eat raw. At the very least training for the culinary trade should be aware of this mechanical tenderizing and how it exposes the inside of the food to contaminants usually found on the outside.
same thing I thought after watching it
Mechanical tenderizing is not used on most cuts of meat, mostly on very bad quality cuts turned into those premade hamburgers etc
Support your local meat market or butcher. Seriously - when you can see your steaks being cut off a big piece of meat you can be pretty certain it's not mechanically tenderized.

May the peace, mercy of God, and blessings be upon you. I did not eat animal meat for a long time and my body got deprived. @Sue Taft it's an enzyme that once it it is put on different cuts of meat makes it bond together. So some crooked people could say they are giving you new York strip steak when you are actually getting 7 bone which is a lot cheaper for them but more expensive for the consumer.
It literally makes me laugh when people complain that they don’t want farmed salmon but go ahead and eat chicken or a steak for dinner 😂

The tried & true way to know exactly what kind of fish you're getting is when you take it off the hook yourself.
Only problem there is the water is contaminated. How bad we really don’t know. Fukushima, BP oil spill, and a few other oil spills.
But don't forget the water currents which bring all sorts of poison to faraway places. Mercury is a big problem in fish. And now the Pacific Ocean is radiated from the Fukushima Power Plant which has been leaking radioactive water since 2011 and destroying the environment.
@@citizencoy4393 Right! pollutants in fish flesh could include microplastics, mercury, etc. Here is a quote from Scripps- "A new global analysis of seafood found that fish populations throughout the world's oceans are contaminated with industrial and agricultural pollutants, collectively known as persistent organic pollutants (POPs). The study from researchers at Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego also uncovered some good news¾concentrations of these pollutants have been consistently dropping ..."
Actually, the good news is that we don't have to eat fish. I get my omega 3 from flax seeds, walnuts, seaweed, and to be sure I get enough, a DHA supplement made from algae. Eat lower on the food chain to avoid bioaccumulation of pollutants.

My big complaint in the USA, is that meat, especially chicken, doesn't keep well. It is older than the label says. I've noticed that sea food, especially shrimp, is labeled as wild caught when it is farm raised in asia. There's a big difference. The best seafood comes from the local sea food store or off the boat. Shrimp have to be 3 days old before it can be peeled. Fish that have the slime washed off will not keep as it contains its own natural antibiotic. Home grown by a small local farm is safer, fresher, and tastes better. No preservatives. It costs more, but there is a reason. Oh, and GOD didn't change egg sizes, the USDA did. GMO produces more, but that is the only good thing about it. Ask if the farmer has "heritage brands". Veggies and produce from California is bred to ship and store well.
A lot of that meat is glued together with some product called meat glue. They have multiple different pieces of meat from different animals glued together. Also, different bacteria glued into the meat. It's banned in most countries with standardized Healthcare.
And to think this doesn't happen in the U.S.? Think again!!!
And it's happening in Australia 🇦🇺 too 😞
I've always wanted to do this! It's time for a follow up because now they are grinding Beef & Pork which isn't anything new but they ate doing it note often.

this show is the best example how different opinions are brought to truth with the facts, but comes with subtle sense of no solutions to the psuedo problems explained, means its a kind of fearmongering to last consumer who doesn't care and even if cared businesses won't change as to bring such change there will be costs and the customers do not want to pay more, because they don't have more.
Chicken is to be washed with vinegar or lemon or salt or a combination of. Everything it touched and the surrounding area is to then be thoroughly scrubbed with bleach, soap, and warm-hot water. Also thoroughly SEASON and cook the chicken properly. Just how I grew up.. 🤷🏾♂️
People aren't dying from meat-borne food borne illnesses left and right. The majority of food borne illness is from vegetables and fruit (aka fresh produce). This is at least true in the US.
