Brod think Innova won't get views but I'm a new head that started with MVP and interested in this. When you're new to disc golf the big brands like Innova and Disc Craft got so many molds, plastics and overlap. Or you got people bagging 3 rocs or buzzs in different plastics and wear that all fly differently and all these mythical special runs that people talk up as if they give special throwing powers 😂 MVP was just easier to start on regardless of throwing backhand or forehand. Every bag gets a Hex, Pyro, Crave/Servo to start... And that's pretty much it lol
I am an old head who grew up when Innova actually ran the whole market. It's wonderful to see newer companies thriving, especially MVP/Axiom. They became my favorite in 2018 when I found their Proton Insanity. They have continued to impress me ever since then
About a year to year and a half ago I lost my favorite disc in my bag. It was one of those Gregg Barsby glow eagles. I almost shed a tear seeing yours because mine had that same silver stamp and wear on it when I lost it. The Innova Eagle is probably the greatest fairway driver ever. Enjoy the month long Innova journey!
Real Innova guys just bag Aviars, DX Rocs, a Firebird, Eagles/Teebirds in 4 different stages of wear, and 7 Destroyers (all fly differently because Innova). And a Leopard if you suck at forehands.
The funny thing about destroyers is that half the people that throw them dont even have the arm for it. I think the wraith is a better mold for slower arm speeds wich is what i throw currently got 4 in my bag (and there way more consistent with the way each one flies unlike destroyers). Roc3 is also a great mold too that innova throwers use and they come in better plastic
@@PatrickKnorr very true. I definitely don't and I realized that yesterday. I threw my eagle further than my pharaohs and it had the most beautiful flight like a destroyer. So I'm lowering my discs to 7 speeds lol. I'm also 41 and I guess I'm slowing down.
#1 for a reason. I throw and prefer some non-Innova discs, but Innova is the only company from which I could put together a full bag without feeling like there are any gaps.
Just bought a Valkyrie and I’m loving it. It’s a 9/4/-2/2 it’s a lot less beefy than a thunderbird and I love to use it for forehands. Mine is in the Protoglow champ plastic. Very good feeling disc.
I have a star mako3 that goes with me everywhere. It's board flat and has just the nicest fade. Would highly recommend a mako3 with zero dome and maybe one of the star dye or just star plastic ones
@BlitzDG I agree, awesome and maybe my run is more flippy, but I think it'd be too understable for your arm. At least for a thunderbird slot. I have a swirly s blend from a foundation run. I only throw about 375' and it's dead straight w reliable but pushing fade. Maybe more like a really beat in thundy. I could be wrong here as I've only thrown one. However the 3 thunderbirds I have a far more stable.
I've only been playing for a couple of years now and I started out all Innova. My bag now is all drivers and most of my fairways are Innova but most of my mids and throwing putters are mvp/axiom. The hand feel of Destroyers, Wraiths are hard to beat in my humble opnion and when beat in they turn into gems. Same with MVP/Axiom mids, putters the hand feel and flights are top notch.
NEXUS INVADER PUTTING PUTTER!!! Invaders are even more underrated as putting putters because everyone has been hooked for decades already on all their other putters that came out long ago. I did this from Innova to MVP days before a charity doubles tournament at the Austin open course and we crushed it and got first! Didn't seem hard at all to swap bags as long as you can fill your handful of most thrown slots. I ultimately went back due to convenience and affordability of Innova's huge F2 selection, but most importantly, the invader which I don't only throw (first ace) but putt with in Halo Nexus (XT before) and was surprised that MVP didn't seem to have something similar, it was either sharp edges or beads that didn't seem as comfortable. I haven't tried any old run stuff, would like to for fun but I don't want to get stuck depending on hard to find and expensive stuff when there are already so many molds to choose from. My biggest gripe with Innova is finding an OS mid that isn't a brick (the bricks are great, must have for utility) but when I'm at the ends of my mid distance, I feel like I need a higher glide OS slot, but I want it be comfortable on a FH as well to save space, and I didn't like the roc3 bead, and even a new one in champ didn't seem that stable. Ended up going with the Millenium Solstice. For OS 7 speed you might want to try an Eagle X, they are flatter. I had one that was super beefy but it ended up overlapping enough with my OS halo star thunderbird to so I took it out. It was also a stupidly stiff champ which was a little too stiff for my liking, not sure if that's normal. If it wasn't so stuff maybe I would've kept it and took out the thunderbird because my thunderbird is so beefy it's close to my beefy halo star firebird. Pig feels great in FH. One more gripe I have is I feel like they don't have a low speed, beefy, soft-premium-low-skip disc. Something like a Z FLX zone. If they made Pigs or toros in gstar I would try that. I have a pig in R pro but I don't want to have to keep replacing it due to durability.

Putter recommendation: Yeti-pro aviar The puddle top pushes off your thumb really well for push putts, feels god spin putting and throwing odly Also has charm for the weird design 🥏
I just got a Halo Invader about 2 weeks ago. What a sleeper disc. I did a light power forehand flick and it just went dead straight, no fade. I was shocked but also excited what else this disc can do.
I have always been an Innova elitist. But I have always hated their putters and mids I tried over 20 different putter molds from them and was never satisfied. Their mids aren't that bad but earlier this year I dived into MVP and have never looked back (as far a mid ranges and pitter go that is). Some other molds I enjoy but don't bag because I am trying to reduce the redundancy in my bag are the thunderbirds, teebird, racer, charger, sidewinder, leopard3, savant, Scorpius, wraith.
I put a ton of Infinite mods in my bag this year. The only "flat" Centurion I own is Halo James Proctor from the previous year. Still more dome than I prefer for forehands. I have two of his Swirly S-Line from this year that have super dome. Good luck finding a flat one and if you do feel free to share the run!
The Tomb is the best throwing putter. It would be the envy to the proxy when compared to the Invader since they both share the same rim. Most of the people that I've shown it to ends up buying them
@@judasblewit the concrete ones hold their stability the longest but are hard to come by. S-line and glow c-line feel amazing in hand. The halo ones can be board flat
In addition to the fact that they’re overstable enough to not turn on full forehands but still push straight long enough to get usable distance, a big reason I’ll take a good Gator over any other overstable mid/approach is that they are great for thumbers. Hi BlitzDG! Thanks for the awesome videos! Amazing power you have, inspiring! I have a question about your form :) Backhand. When your forearm uncurls towards the hit point, what is the feeling at the hit point? Is there a "tendon bounce" that catapults the disc out? The wrist curls under the force as the forearm launches out, further lengthening the tendon, together with a protracted scapula. Then at the hit, the tendon bounces back , as the off-arm hit turn the right shoulder, retracting the scapula and straightens the curled wrist. Does this happen or is this a wild goose chase? Ive heard talk about a "tendon bounce" during the reach back, but the hit point? The power of the kinetic chain needs to somehow stop, to enable a timed transfer of energy, finilized by the wrist and sudden pinch of fingers. A mystery to me :) Especially the Wrist since it then might or might not involve a tendon bounce. Thanks for the video! Ciao!
I would love to see you throw a halo star mystere it's a beautiful forehand flip up driver it bombs but has enough stability to always fight back. It's my go to driver.I have a couple of your interested. it's a very slept on disc. Have a good one
If you are looking for a straighter Thunderbird then maybe try the Savant in Halo Star or Champion plastic. The Thunderbird/Savant is the same as the Eagle/Exodus in that they have the same top but the Thunderbird/Eagle has a more concave bottom and the Savant/Exodus has a straighter edged bottom. The Savant is the same flight numbers as the Dynasty but I've never thrown a Dynasty for that reason so I couldn't tell you if there is any difference. I really like the FD(Dark Rebel) and the Savant because they are fly like long, straight midranges for me. So useful for all the woods golf that I play in my area that I can throw almost dead straight 300-400 ft.
I have wraiths and destroyers! I didn't include distance drivers because I ALREADY bag Innova distance drivers. Plenty of vids on my channel showing me throwing them and even one where I throw EVERY Innova DD I own.
Definitely exclude ; use only Innova like me lol and by the way don’t even like the old stuff the most beat in disc I have is a champion Ken climo Firebird and a champ Thunderbird , I suggest you try out some of the new stuff like the Charger and Racer , newer Innova is much better to me
Do you want to really challenge yourself while also adding to the tool box of shot shapes you can throw confidently? Put a Champion plastic Wombat 3 and/or any variant of Star Rollo in your bag for mid range hyzer flip versatility. If you need a disc to actually fly on a straight line reliably for 325-350 ft - get a Wombat3 in champion plastic. Accept no substitutes. The Rollo is a disc that can produce some crazy lines but it demands touch and precise release angles to do so successfully. Finding a way to use the Rollo at least 3x per round, even if there's a "better" disc in your bag, will significantly increase your DG tool box options, ecause you must have solid swing mechanics in order to get the Rollo to fly true
Innova is like ON gold standard Whey. The most recognized, readily available, covers the bases, and preferred protein blend to many. I’m not saying Innova is the best, other options are just as good, just derivatives off what they do.
I honestly think even the dynasty is coming out in favor of one of the flippy 7 speeds. The 9 speeds just go SO far. I don't have a need most of the time of hitting a hyzer flip to turn 475 feet. If I'm doing that I'll probably just use a wraith and keep it a little lower.
@@BlitzDG Cannot go wrong with a good innova made 7 speed. Also, you were wondering about the Centurion. I believe it's an FD rim with a Leopard3 top. My Centurion is in the gummy C blend (171g) and it will pan right more reliably than an FD / JLS type mold. Perfect mix between the Leopard3 flight (plate), with the FD feel (bottom rim / grip)
Go with a classic...Millennium JLS!Although, with your Cannon, it'll be flippy. Get you an older run. They are out there. Edit: if you're looking for some cool/ money Innova discs, hit me up.
If you're doing this for the sake of trying the Innova staples, you gotta putt with either a dx aviar or kc pro aviar. Gotta throw in a dx roc too. At least make a single vid trying those ones out. McBeth won most of his World titles with the P&A Aviar.
I love Innova, but the sheer number of molds, combinations of molds, discontinued but released thru Infinite or Millenium, makes for a lot of overlap. I guess it's not really much of a complaint, they've been making discs for a long time.
I feel like innova goes crazy with the fairway drivers and drivers but their mid lineup is pretty awful and their putter lineup is decent but I personally hate the way most of them feel.
That’s why, back in the day, a lot of people threw Innova drivers, discraft mids, and Wizards. Innova has always had the best drivers. Discraft copied the Roc with the Wasp and then modified it to be beadless and we have the Buzzz, and a Wizard is basically a slightly shallower and slightly rounded version of the KC Aviar.
Any series that allows me to view more of those standstill bombs is a win hehe

I throw a animal from innova which is very berg like, you could also try the rhino if you need something more stable
Innova is like ON gold standard Whey. The most recognized, readily available, covers the bases, and preferred protein blend to many. I’m not saying Innova is the best, other options are just as good, just derivatives off what they do.
Speaking my language brother.
Total Innova simp here, Infinite and Millennium are made by Innova. I’ve got no issue.
Need some KC pro aviar and rocs
You should honestly consider finding a champ valkyrie for that flippier 9 speed slot. Preferably one that's like circa 2019 or prior
Only infinite discs disc you need to try is a tomb. It's a lot like the invader but it's better in every aspect.
Its better than MVP... i believe you should also include Discmania that was made by Innova. FD2, P3x, PD specifically.
If I could get my hands on some I'd try them.
I do have some of those! TBH I cannot stand just how domey those old school molds get, but I will suck it up for a video :)
Star AviarX3 forehands and putts great.
Will definitely feel one at the shop!
I love Innova, but the sheer number of molds, combinations of molds, discontinued but released thru Infinite or Millenium, makes for a lot of overlap. I guess it's not really much of a complaint, they've been making discs for a long time.
I like your moon board more than your content. Thing looks bad ass bud- keep crushing them boulders
U not bagging a Wraith, Destroyer, or Boss?
I bag Halo D , Destroyers, Wraith for my OS S US drivers even before the challenge, so that was a given :)
@BlitzDG Ah ok 😅
Millennium is clean, innova owns them. It's like axiom/streamline for mvp. Unsure about infinite
I'm still sad I lost my og Joel Freeman gator 😢
use the infinite stuff, be good to see
KC or JK Aviars for putting?
We gotta find you a Viper my friend
Oh lord. I don't even know what that is.
Discraft copied the Roc with the Wasp and then modified it to be beadless and we have the Buzzz, and a Wizard is basically a slightly shallower and slightly rounded version of the KC Aviar.
throw a firebird once and you'll never go back to any other disc that fits that slot
The Orc in star is one of my favorite Innova discs that it feels like no one talks about. I don't know how one would work with your arm speed though.
Bro thinks he’s Broderick😂😂. Lol but in all seriousness I’m hyped to watch this series!
Shank alot more. Throw a bit harder. :)
@@BlitzDGonly like 10 mph more bro sheesh not even that much
Seems like Innova should be the easiest since there are sooooo many disc
Teebird3 fixes everything you dislike about Teebird. Try to find an Anthony Barela Color Glow Champion or a Ricky Champion. Money
I will try! Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for!
Except it still doesn’t forehand as well as a good Eagle…
I've spent a couple of hours helping experienced players look for their KJ Nybo Teebirds and Super Soft Omegas. They can't live without those dics.
Halo Savants might work if you can't find a run of Thunderbird you like. Really good straight/stable option that works for me forehand and backhand.
Any similarity to axiom wrath?
@noelybro I've only thrown the neutron wrath and the halo savant is more stable than that but generally similar. Savant/Thunderbird ~= Wrath/Tesla
hmmm - just odd . . .
Brodbird 🤌
