Invaders are the best flat putters imo. Aviars are great but the feel from an aviar to invader is night and day. Nexus halo invader for putting, halo star/champion for throwers is where its at. Which it sounds like youre already on the Invader train. Good man!
Love this content! So stoked I get another three and a half weeks of this as an innova only beginner. Just started doing your stand-still-step-back last night and it already feels dialed. Absolute game changer for me as I don’t particularly like to x-step. I feared I would lose power by standing still, but that’s not the case and now my precision is significantly improved. Thanks!!
Thunderbird, PD, and Millennium Orion LF ALL share the Firebird wing but with different tops. PD is the sharpest, then Thunderbird, then OLF, then finally Firebird. Rim width is the same on all of them.
I know that you said you prefer flatter discs but a Rancho Roc might be the mid you’re looking for that has the consistent finish to it but has plenty of glide. I have a star and the new run of glow DX that is flippy but with finish out of the box
If you need a flat Eagle that isn't a special unobtainium run, go get a Millenium Vela. Quantum = Champion, Sirus Helio = Halo Star. The Quantum ones are more Eagle-L/Exodus (though I've heard the latest ones are more flat Eagles for Calvin, and he has repped this disc for Millenium), and the HS ones are equivalently board-flat Eagle-X's, and they're normally priced. Why does Innova make this so difficult? Don't ask me, haven't got a clue!
Nice -- I don't think that I was aware of Flexline before this vid. It's a little far away for me to visit outside of a special occasion, but close enough that I was still happy to make an online purchase to support a local-ish DG business, particularly when there were some discs on sale that I was looking for.
If you want a flat top eagle look for the Barsby tour series swirly star plastic run. Very flat very stable bordering overstable when brand new. Great video hope you the best, this should make some interesting content
I think you should try the yeti pro aviar for putting. That's what I have been using. They are puddle topped which gives you that thinner feel and very grippy and soft but not flexible soft

My go to putting putter is yeti pro aviar, its tacky, and even more grippy and tacky is jk pro aviar, im actually amazed that the guy didnt offer those for you.
Wraiths are probably the most well rounded DD ever. You can get one for every stability for any arm speed. They are comfortable, predictable, and they go a mile.
I try to stay away from "magic" runs for innova discs. While it's neat in theory, to my mind it makes it harder to get replacements. It's a bit like having unicorns in the bag that you've seasoned in perfectly. If you've built your game around it, it's a huge problem if you lose them. When i'm playing I tend to throw provisional shots with discs I wouldn't normally throw for a given line so that I can build up that "This isn't my preferred disc for this shot, but I can shape this one for it" knowledge.
100% agree. Gotta see all the perspectives before you make judgment though. I'm not a unicorn disc kind of guy, but if I never try one, how will I know how good it REALLY is!

We did go over some of those off camera. But didnt want to have an hour long video. Plus for his arm speed i prefered to have him try these. Since he throws a little further than myself. Putter wise he did feel all of those. But these were the ones clint wanted to try. So we included those in the video. Come on down anytime!! We can also shoot the shit. Love talking disc golf!

This. My Nexus Animal is my straight approach putter, and I'm throwing it all the time. It's the flattest top version of that mold, too, thanks to the plastic.
