No more ice on the ground.. Nice walk! It is hard refusing the Raki in the morning in some places One place every morning I ordered Espresso they would just pour me a raki too..
I LOVE your "alley escapades"!!😃I do a lot of that when I'm visiting friends in Kremenchuk Ukraine. People would be amazed at the little shops and street markets/bazaars you can find if you get off the "main drags". Well done Patrick. great videos.👍👍
Great job you are doing showing around Everything is expensive here it is so cheap there Leeks ,figs ,persimmons, etc etc I miss all of them Enjoy this delicious fruits
Another great amble. You hit more dead-ends this time. Still fun. I was trying to figure out what greeting you are using, and finally got it: Si jeni. Thank you for getting out of the street and onto the sidewalk. It seems that you are, or are not, living in eastern Europe, depending on who you ask. ;) See wikipedia.
yes its a greeting. The word hello is tough, im having trouble with it. For us its easy to say (( sounds just like))....see...any.....Thats like saying how are you doing.
Hi Patrick - Just spent 2 days in Pogradec. My top highlights were 1) Lakefront area views/promenade 2) Drinking Raki with a couple of Clergy at the Orthodox Church in Old Town. Overall, I prefer Shkoder to Pogradec. Am now in the beautiful village of Lin (stunning views), heading slowly towards Ohrid via Struga.
Where do i begin...thank you...we love Pogradec. drinking raki with clergy is so cool ! For us... Shkoder and Pogradec is a tie...our 2 favorite cities. We are so happy and proud to be a part of Pogradec !
I was born and raised in Tirana and unfortunately have never visited Pogradec, so I am enjoying your videos. By the way, we had a few flakes last evening here in Greenville, South Carolina and the whole place went into meltdown. Schools are closed today and maybe tomorrow as well. I thought of your video of Pogradec. It is a lot worse over here when it snows because you can't get anywhere on foot and the South is so bad at clearing the roads.
I love those videos!! can't wait to see the grapes in the summertime. If you could show the prices when you are walking by especially for fruit and vegetables. that would be great! Keep up the good work:)
Thank you for watching. Wearing the chest mount for the gopro makes it hard to like point at a apple for price. I notice peeps here some get nervous or dont like having a camera pointed at them. But i will try. again soon
@@patrickoverseasMaybe you could just verbally say some of the prices and/or when editing your videos add some of the prices to the screen. Or maybe use your phone camera and take a few still photos of produce price signs to add to the video? I appreciate that you respect the privacy and comfort of people, which is more important. Some YT creators out in the wild are really disrespectful. You aren’t, which is one of the many reasons my husband & I really enjoy watching your videos.
Thank you Patrick, we Albs leaving abroad appreciate these footage. I highly recommend you buy the seasonal produce from those lone farmers on the road. Al the local and seasonal stuff is exceptional, especially those from random villagers selling their excess. Apples, cabbage, onion, garlic, pumpkin, walnuts should all be top quality, try it there's a difference from what you buy in the store/small shops.
I believe I'm going to end up establishing my "base" in Shkoder. I'm more into mountains than beaches. It looks like northern Albania has great hiking opportunities. I lived for 20 years just outside Glacier park in Whitefish MT. Northern Albania reminds me a lot of that area. Anyone know if there are problems crossing the border to Montenegro or Kosovo?
Hey, how's is Albania? 😄 Currently I’m in Romania, capturing hidden treasures for my vlog. There’s so much beauty waiting to be discovered when you take a closer look!
Cold in Seattle this morning- about 30. Probably similar- afternoon 50. The mandarins are so sweet there! I make tea with the peels. Planning my trip for Lake Ohrid- April- going for 4on 4 dental implants. My dentist said I need it- $30,000!! Macedonia $4,000. Yeah!
@@patrickoverseasAmazing! I love when you have videos on the historical cultures that have called Albania home in the past. Looking forward to your visit to Lin.

Hi,
Do you have any plans of visiting the village of Lin?
YESSSSS ! They found ancient ruins there. Dating back 8,500 years! 6000 years before christ. The oldest know villages in all of Europe.

Any local furniture makers, boat maker or artisans making traditional Albanian goods? Pottery, stone work...
Yes,yes, and yes...were having a long cutting board being made for april as we speak. Also can be used as extra counter space.
@patrickoverseas see if you can visit with him! Local craftsman are always interesting...
