@MageBurger Because it's a name or alias. You wouldn't want your name to be translated really. It's just at that subbing, it's a matter of making it more remarkable or easy to remember.
The whole Mogami arc is basically a training arc for Mob. However, where other shonen protagonists would come up with a crazy special move or transformation, Mob's training arc is about assessing his personal values and self-identity. What is important to him? What has made him who he is? Who does he want to be going forward? This is great writing because it's something everybody can do!
Fyi, the Manga is a lot darker because in it the bullies actually kill the cat (at 3:59) and stab Mob. It also geos into more detail in what happens to Mob there during his stay, so you can understand Mogami and his point of view even more. You also see a little better how one of the bullies hits a concrete/stone brick over Mob's head and makes him bleed like crazy. Also you can see how the spirits rip him apart and eat his body parts and release the ??? which destroys the whole fake world (at 11:29/11:38). I think they also go a bit more into Mogami's suicide in the Manga.
Bones had to somehow "summarize" the arc, because they had to adapt a lot of things through this season (even it took 13 episodes instead of 12, because of the amount of story). But I think everyone who hasn't read the manga will understand the message from ONE anyway.
A bit of a clarification, the massive amount of money that showed up on the screen was for the Psycho Helmets, not for Reigen (though he was presumably offered a similar amount offscreen). It's understandably ambiguous from how the anime transitioned though.
@@bLuGhOsT_ i also think the anime is a lot better. but in this case I'd say both good. The anime can show the creepiness and the brutality in the world with amazing art and animation. since its hard for ONE to do that he can give the same feelings through staff like that
@@bLuGhOsT_ You got a much better sense of how long Mob was stuck in Mogami's world in the manga. The anime suffered in that respect, so some impact (and some sense of Mob's suffering) is lost.
I think they should’ve kept those scenes in. I don’t like seeing animals being hurt, but the fact they killed his only friend in that world simply because they wanted to hurt him makes it so much more powerful when Mob forgives her in the end. They also skipped over Minori forcing Mob to list things he liked just to embarrass him and use them against him later (pouring milk on him and such).
I like how Mob reads Mogami as Mogami-san. He pays homage to the enemy. It's different from the stupid people who deny and curse everything just because they're enemies. He is an adult.
Having a community or a group of people where you fit in and can grow together is a big positive, something to be appreciative for and Mogami just has to acknowledge that not as a negative.
Would a teacher really slap a student? Yes one hundread percent this happens in indian schools all the time. Also we don't get just one but multiple until the kid cries. I remember there was a teacher in my school who whenever someone did something stupid she would ask them to stand up in attention then slap them and ask them them again then slap them. If you moved a little you would get slapped again until you stand perfectly straight with your arm to the side to get a slap
Actually, the people that Mogami were possessing were indeed bad people so they do deserve it, just like what he said, he only punishes those who cause harm or misfortune to others, like Asagiri (purple hair) who was an actual bully in real life. I don't feel any pity for her at all tbh it's just that I don't pity bullies in any way though I think she really regretted her actions when she came back as she got her punishment. Mogami also said initially during the parallel world sequence that the people there are how they are in real life.
I like how this episode called on this show's bulls.it even if only for a moment. Mob is unfortunately pretty pathetic and his ideology of not using is powers is just awful. (just my opinion don't jump with the hate)
mob is truly the best i love him so much!!! 😭
Yep, he's the best. Although most of the characters in this show are good.
best boi mob and Lord reigen
Ekubo saving Mob from going on full darkness using his powers is wholesome ngl. Next the Reigen arc! I'm excited.
@MageBurger Because it's a name or alias. You wouldn't want your name to be translated really. It's just at that subbing, it's a matter of making it more remarkable or easy to remember.
@MageBurger that's what I am saying. The exact point why it was translated is to be remarkable to non native fans.

This is probably my favorite episode.
Mob's lines to Asagiri at the end make it a 10/10 for me.

what chapter?

Mob’s speech about having to be thankful for what he’s got gets me choked up every time. Such an episode

Mob's monologue about how he improved because of everyone is very nice man, I really love this anime
In the manga they killed the cat
and she also stabs him
it was pretty wild
Another example of why the anime is so much better

@MageBurger Elements of a story that would make one more emotional could only enrich the journey of reading it, if you ask me.

W Mob He's literally a goat underated anime
This is such a incredible episode. So good on so many levels. “Tsubomi-Chan!” 🌸
cutest flower boy
I like how Mob reads Mogami as Mogami-san.
He pays homage to the enemy.
It's different from the stupid people who deny and curse everything just because they're enemies.
He is an adult.
So glad that she drops early in the day!💯

this episode made me tear up like a baby, thank god im not the only one
MOB, THE BEST MAGICAL GIRL. Change my mind.
This episode is the first glimpse into Mob’s real powers. When he goes “???” he destroys Mogami’s world in an instant.
Episode 7 is coming 😊
The philosophy in this episode is crazy good. This episode and last episode really got dark real quick.
Oh, you have a Moomin hoodie? Neat!
My boy Dimple pulling Mob out from going berserk.
I'm opinion this is one of the best episodes of anime I've ever watched
Getting closer to episode 7!!! Iykyk 😁
Our boy went full shonen protagonist, in a good way. 😁
*I love how Ekubo became a supportive character towards Mob, i can’t imagine what is like when Ekubo don’t try get in the body*
the scene is like your white blood fighting corona virus >
Hello Alana! Have you ever taken Magi into consideration? I think it’s a great anime you should peep whenever you have time.
Mogami said he's gonna be watching over Mob to see if Mob's choice is really the right one, so yeah Mogami shall return.

Btw Mob was at 100% Courage and the money didn’t go to Reigen it went to the Psycho Helmet religion
Next episode is my favorite
One of the few episodes where the anime fell short of the manga imo. Still a fantastic episode, probably my favourite in terms of fights.
this is side of reality people don't wanna care of.
Hope you get to watch "Over the moon for you"////"Love is hard for otaku" 🥰🥰
Waiting for eps 7
Waiting for eps 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13
