All C6 Grand Sports, ZO6, ZR1, & 427 convertibles are widebody cars, one of the best Corvette generations IMHO.... 2,201 GS Centennial editions were produced in 2012. The LS3 is a bullet proof engine & takes well to mods
I own two 2013 Grand Sports. One is a 60th Anniversary Grand Sport Coupe and the other is a torch red Grand Sport Coupe. I really like the lines and curves of the C6 compared to later generations. I plan to keep my C6s the way they were born too...
I own the same one you’re selling ….. And I can agree it’s an amazing car and at this price point I don’t think there’s anything that can touch it. Who ever buys this car will have one of the best looking sports cars ever created in my opinion! That will put the most ridiculous smile on your face every time you see it!
Yes, you can buy a grand sport or an older z06 for cheaper…. That’s not the point ….. It’s a clean car that’s has the centennial edition package if you want speed or a cheaper price there’s lots of options that are better as far as price but the person that buys this will probably buy it more so for the centennial edition package. And this is a clean one if you’re looking for this specific combo like I was when I bought mine.
I HIGHLY recommend using Michelin 4S non EM tires. And a set of Koni shocks. This combo make these cars even better handlers, more stable and even more linear steering. After 100Kmi, I also recommend wiring in a 30Amp Painless FP fuse/relay relocation harness. The OE 10Amp circuit is too weak and eventually carbons up and fails. The harness is only $46 on Amazon. I did these things to my Z06 and the difference was amazing. Makes the car very addictive to drive...And pulling into the garage is always a supreme bummer 🍻
I love Corvettes and LS engines. I have a C5 convertible, stick shift, that I've done the usual heads/cam/exhaust upgrades to. 437 wheel. C5s and C6s are absolutely insane performance for the money in today's market. I also have a DeLorean that I put an LS engine into.
@@normalguysupercar It really is. Trim bits and interior pieces will deteriorate comically quickly in C5/C6 cars, but the engine and gearboxes will almost never let you down. Love 'em.
Hands down one of the best performance values for the dollar. Mines white with red and black interior, 540rwhp some suspension upgrades and it’s a time attack monster.
Hello from Ireland again, Dan. Lovely Machine 👌 👏👏 mate. I have never seen one of these Cars in Person, lol. That Red stitching on the interior stands out very well 👌. I'm in Love with the red BMW, Dan lol. I have also never seen a cleaner one. You always somehow, seem to have the best clean and Immaculate cars lol, 🙄🙄. Wicked video again, Dan. Thanks 🙏🙏🥰👌👏👏👏👏👏👏
Awesome car, I have a 2011 6MT. It's great at the track, but needs better brakes, AP Radicals are awesome, needs a bigger radiator for hot track days, a bucket seat and harness setup and you're good to go. Also a Mild 2 Wild switch makes things super fun.
I agree, most recent cars are overstyled. I think some manufacturers want to try something different but they overdo it. That is why the 458 looks so good. It is a sleek Pininfarina design. Corvette really excelled with performance on the C8, now they need to hire a good design studio to focus on the styling for C9. The one thing that C6 needs is a louder exhaust. Those Chevy engines have great sound, but they are a bit muted. Something to enhance the sound, nothing startlingly loud.
Even with a loud exhaust, the nice thing about LS based motors is that they go quiet when lugged below 2,000 in overdrive on the highway. The cars are so versatile.
Performance numbers are great. But the seats and interior of the C5 is awful. Every single thing makes noise on the inside, it’s a very unpleasant place to be if you’re not used to that. I don’t have much time in the c6 to compare haha.
@sarahdell4042 The interior is basic and durable, purpose built for performance. Funny how the double standards exist and somehow the original Acura NSX or Ferrari F40 interiors are ok.
@ The F40 is a purpose built race car. The first gen NSX is basically a decade older than the C5…… It also doesn’t squeak and rattle over every bump, nor have seats that can’t hold anyone’s body type around corners… Again, great value on the performance end but the interior is low rent late 90s rental car spec. Everything ounce of plastic on the dash, side panels, etc all make noise.
Dan you are the man, liked your review of Corvette. You are a professional car guy. I would trust you in a car deal any time. Hope you get super rich just stay honest and you will prevail. John Arnold
I saw someone serving this exact same car in West Austin yesterday. I thought you’d sold the car to a local but I guess not. Regardless, it looked and sounded pretty sweet!
C6 Grandsports have a forged crank, unlike the base model C6's. They also have many drivetrain parts (rear diff / manual trans) carried over from the Z06.
only difference between 3lt and 4lt is 4lt got full leather dash. 3lt has all that alcantara. I had a narrow body 3lt centennial 2012 c6 on my channel theres a few vids. Fun fact: The single clutch auto in the 2012 c6 shifts faster than a dual clutch bugatti veyron.
C6 are a great value, but not at 47k for an LS3 car. You can get the same performance for half that on a base model. Wouldn’t touch this car when you can get a low mileage C6Z for the same price you’re asking
The wide fenders need wider wheels/tires/spacers. Just a little sunk. And that big V8 is going lope along at low RPM’s unless you really boot it. It’s hard not to like this American icon.
@@normalguysupercarThat's literally all it's worth. I get the feeling you're not really a Corvette guy. At best you have a 32K car. I mean maybe you have to learn the hard way, you'll figure it out when no one buys it but making stuff like this is pretty much calling people stupid. It's like I'm looking for a sucker so that's why you're getting some hostile comments. It's insulting to the community to create this kind of content with that kind of a price
Very Nice Corvette!! However, I’d have to go out and buy some NewBalance sneakers, white socks, jean shorts, printed Hawaiian shirt, branded ball cap, compression knee brace, and Jabra hearing aids. 😊 Unfortunately age is coming for us all… Eeek!
@ It’s a well known issue with the C6 in 4LT trim. It’s fixable, but not easily. The leather wrapped dash and trim is the only difference between 3LT and 4LT.
4LT is the worst interior......that leather separates from the dash. Manual is the only way to go, plus you get the dry sump with it in the GS. NPP is a nice option. As to your price tag, you're 5-7 grand over the market price for a 2012.
Do something smart with your money and buy a CD that pays 4.25% in interest versus blowing money on these GM defect money pits. Don't spend good money on bad money...
I had a 2012 Z06 Centennial, GREAT car. the C6 is a normal guy super car
Yes indeed.

Dan my man! Finally a real car in your stable! Lol!! Love the c6 and looks way better than the c7 you used to own. Happy New Year!
Agreed on the looks for sure
C6 fanatic and Alamo Area Corvette Club (San Antonio) president here. You have this car priced VERY well, and it won't stay with you long...
Appreciate that. Thank you

Agreed on the exhaust big time
I also like the Morimoto LED replacement headlamp assemblies, they modernize the look of the C6. I wish they made similar ones for the Ferrari 360.
4LT also adds a leather wrapped dash, which looks great but has a tendency to come unglued.
Ahhh
An ever better value is the C5 Z06 Corvette which can be had for
Performance numbers are great. But the seats and interior of the C5 is awful. Every single thing makes noise on the inside, it’s a very unpleasant place to be if you’re not used to that.

@sarahdell4042 My C5 Z06 and most are squeak free. Its more rigid being that its a fixed roof rather than targa top.

Corvette !!!!!!!!!
Yup!
That's really nice, I had to settle with a Z51
Ahh still nice.
Mike in Dallas could probably tell you EVERYTHING you’d ever want to know about that car. 😂
True
Out of curiousity, How do you compare that to the Gen 3 Viper Coupe you had?
The viper is really quite a bit different. Stupid torque, not as comfy a ride, felt a little less in control than the C6

no the C8 is the only nice corvette

May as well throw in a Tom Selleck reverse mortgage in order to afford it and a six month supply of Kirkland Minoxidil to sweeten the deal.
automatic ????
Sadly.
There are probably lots experts close by. You could have a guest reviewer to show off your cars.
Most Corvette owners say that every corvette is a one of one or one of a couple.
LOL I know. This is not a 1 of 1.

if OEM tires they are 13year old, change them !!!
Anything over 5 years and they start going to crap.
45k for a 2012 corvette lol
