    I purchased this adapter and had no issues charging my Tesla. The intelligent temperature control system works great, and I really like LaTough's CCS combo 1 adapter. They recently released a video comparing it to the original Tesla combo 1 adapter, and it is identical and even more affordable than the one on the Tesla website. It's truly fantastic!😍

    this report is very well done. good job!

    Great idea for Tesla owners to use any kind of charging station. I know that Tesla has to “unlock” the charger to allow other automakers to charge on their network. But is there a way to make a universal Tesla to CCS to use Tesla AC and DC charging stations for CCS vehicles?

      There are Tesla Supercharger to CCS adapters now. But the car must be supported by Tesla, So far only Ford and Rivian. More are coming over time this year. Until then, CCS vehicles can use a Magicdock Supercharger which has the built in adapter (however very few are available currently).

      @@MTNRanger I’m aware about the Tesla supercharger network only being open to certain vehicles. What I’m interested in is whether there is an adapter for vehicles like Fords and Rivians that lets them use a single adapter for both v3 superchargers and Destination chargers instead of requiring 2 separate adapters.

      @@davidroddini1512 No, unfortunately the supercharger-to-CCS adapters are designed differently and do not work with destination chargers for safety reasons.

    NACS charging standard designed by engineers to encourage EV adoption.
    CCS1 charging standard designed by the ICE manufactures marketing department to discourage EV adoption, trying to keep EV’s from catching on.
    In 10 years the only place in North America you will find a CCS1 charger will be a museum and electronic surplus stores.
    I will stick with my Tesla J1772 and CCS adaptors, not impressed with the flap as it will be break off early in the usage.
    That massive plug combination just waits for someone to bump Ito it and damage the car charge port.

      But in 2000 years, the only place in North America you will find a NACS charger will be THE JUNKYARD AND THE FAR REACHES OF OUTER SPACE AND THE CENTER OF THE EARTH AND THE CHARGING STATION CEMETARY. I am sticking with CCS, ChaDeMo and PHEVs like the Mitsubishi Outlander.

    I assume the battery wasnt preconditioned before charging at the 350kw charger. The max charge speed available didnt jump up to 350kw until 20 minutes into the charge. Would have been nice to see if it could hit 250kw with a preconditioned battery.

    • @MTNRanger
      @MTNRanger  8 месяцев назад

      On a CCS1 charger, the max we can expect in a Tesla is around 200-210 kW. Anything more will require more amperage than these units can support. 350 kW will only be attained by 800 V EVs. As far as the is particular station, it has been reported that it does not provide the highest possible speeds. My Tesla was preconditioned and driving for 1/2 hour.

    Here's hoping this will eventually go the way of the CHADEMO.

      My guess is probably at least five years. It will take time to transition.

      And NACS will eventually go the way of THE BULLSHIT because I hate Tesla and I prefer PHEVs like the Mitsubishi Outlander.

    Thank you, appreciate your information. I have a Ford Charge Station Pro EVSE and it has a J1772 for AC as well as a DC charging port. it's configured exactly like all the Level 3 chargers at Electrify America, EVGO, etc. Do you think this adapter can be used with the CSP to charge my Tesla?

    • @MTNRanger
      @MTNRanger  Год назад

      I don’t see why it would not work. As long as the CSP can provide CCS, it’s worth a try. Does your Tesla support the CCS adapter?

    Very careful testing of the adapter and fine measurements at different charging stations - although the adapter itself is not that relevant for European Tesla owners 😎

    • @MTNRanger
      @MTNRanger  6 месяцев назад

      It's a J1772 or CCS1 to Tesla adapter. Unless you have a Tesla port on your car, it's not applicable.
