Hadn’t been washed in ten years and the paint is flawless. I’m so jealous. My paint is in waaay worse shape and I take good care of it lmao. Fellow beetle enjoyers.
Amazing and loving professional job! Congrats! However, with all due respect to you guys, no way this is a 67. 68 or 69 is more like it. It looks amazing!
@@craigjorgensen4637 High-backed seats may be strictly US market for 1968. Sealed beams were a concession to 1968 US safety regs with the 1967 updates, and this seems to be a Thai market car, judging from the ECE headlights, sticker, and RHD. The body is a 1303. The dash does not have padding which would have been optional for MY1968 outside the US.
@@wanderinggentile 1303 would have the curved windshield... This is a standard body after 1968 with vertical headlights and big square bumpers. Oh, and because of the hump in hood it has the 1500 engine :)

I would have started with the bottom on a pit, removed the tyres and done the wheel wells, then the engine bay, the insides and the boot and then gone for the body.
Not a 67 by any means. This is a 70 with a 1600 engine single port heads. If you ever read the book "Small Wonder" you will find back then the bodies were painted with 40 lbs of paint from the factory.
Right hand drive makes me wonder where are you on this planet? Specifications for the Beetle varied from country to country. Obviously this is not a North American '67 Beetle. PS - in the US, if a car was built in November of '67 but built to '68 specifications, it would be sold as and titled as a '68.
@@frederickhassler5573 ‘67 has domed hubcaps and horn grilles. This car has neither. It’s at least a ‘69, probably a ‘70 if those wheels are the original color.
@@frederickhassler5573 1967 still had the fuel filler in the trunk, this one is outside on the fender. The outside filler didn’t appear until 1968. In 1968 there was a little dent for your finger to open the door-that disappeared in 1969 when a release lever was added inside the car. So the car in the video is at least a ‘69, since it lacks the notch. Also, 1967 still had a separate fuel gauge, which this car doesn’t have. (I have a model year 1968 that was made in Nov. ‘67)

Warning--- This is NOT a BillyBob pressure wash video.
You guys take it to another level.Awesome job!!
It's because it's art.

It could be a 1967 built 1968, but it definitely looks like a 1303 (68-later) body.
Except it has 67 seats and dash. Go figure?

came here to say the same thing. Bumpers aren't right for a '67, nor are the taillights or hubs/wheels.

This little Herbie is purring. A day at the spa.
Thumbs up from Germany.
It's a 70 and it's phantastic.
How well preserved and no rust.
Yes it look like a 70...!!! We had a 73 years ago!! Now we have 2005 convertible!! Epecial edition!!! Almost new!!

Paint cannot be so good after 32 years.
Sorry Zephyr motors, this is NOT a '67 but rather a '68 or later.
Muito legal, show de bola!

It looks like Thailand. I'd love confirmation
That’s not a 67’ it’s a 68 or later the rims hubcaps taillights deck lid front hood and bumpers are a dead giveaway
I drive a 1967 beetle and This is a 67 beetle like mine😅
Agree, definitely the ‘68+ body. It’s at least a ‘69 because there’s not a finger notch on the fuel filler.

It's a 70.
good job

Yeah it’s not a 67, maybe 69 with pop out side windows, non vented deck lid.
Nice detailing.
Can someone please dash me this?
That is NOT a 1967 beetle…I owned a 1967…it’s more likely a 1970.
In 1967 They change the look, This is a 1968 model from 1967 (I drive the same🤷🏻♂️)
