I totally agree. Use those jars! Why keep them hidden stored away in a box? I’ve come to that conclusion with so many things in life, especially after downsizing and moving. I couldn’t believe how many beautiful, cherished items I had stored away in a box because they were “special”. Can’t really enjoy them that way! I wanted to thank you Heather for posting this. I went to Walmart after work today to get a battery for my car and I detoured right into the canning section and found the book and the jars. I bought the Anniversary jars but will use them rather than save them unopened I have several of my grandmothers old canning jars that she used. There is something about knowing her hands had filled them one time long ago and remembering her canned cinnamon pickles at Christmas. And Mom's canned peaches. Not saved jars but treasured used ones.❤

HAHA I love the new anniversary jars, too. That's on my list. In about 2 weeks, I'm moving to a fabulous little place in Arkansas, from Ohio, and will be starting another great adventure. Then we were making a donation and the clerk ran at me "WEVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU! ANOTHER CANNING BOOK CAME IN!" lol. And then, I have book by Dianne devareux and the Amish book of canning and a couple of preserving books from the 70s. I'm just thankful

I drove 50 miles to my closest Walmart today and they had the pint jars. I bought one set for me and one for my cousin for Christmas. Thanks for the info video! ❤

Picked up the new jars and thought about how I would use them…such a pretty design. Decided to fill them with solar fairy lights and hung them from my 4 cattle panel trellises in the garden. They look beautiful! I tell my grandchildren they are my “lightning bugs” (fireflies)
The ONLY canning videos I trust on utube are the ones from “Rose Red Homestead “. If you’ve ever watched them, you’d know why. She is so educated and well versed in all the approved canning processes.
I didn’t realize that you were talking about the new jars. I thought you were talking about jars in general lol so avoid my last comment of saying that the pints are heavily on the shelf. I’m talking about regular ball jars not the new ones lol same with the quart we can’t find regular quart jarsin our store anywhere the regular mouth or the wide mouth I have to order those online but I was actually referring to just normal ball jars not these new ones. These are absolutely amazing.
The anniversary jars are beautiful. I think jam or marmelades would be lovely. Next year, Rob is going to make me garden boxes, and I also want a freeze dryer.
The raised beds made such a huge difference for me. I still planted big plants in the garden in the ground but the kids helped me. I miss being able to kneel or sit in the ground. ❤️🩹🙏🏼

Good Morning, Heather, and God Bless! According to the Ball Website, the anniversary edition of the jars is only in a pint size....no quart...regardless, I just want to thank you for waking up the "canning bug" that I didn't know that I dad!! My husband will be thankful in the long, run, but right now, he doesn't understand...lol...we live in a neighborhood where we live on .18 of an acre, that allows only 4 chickens(we don't currently have any yet) and part of that lot has an in-ground pool. I need to find a way to persuade the Hubby to turn the other half of the yard(which is grass, fruit trees, and a shed) to possibly a couple of raised beds. Does anyone know of a FREE app or website that lets you design your yard into garden space?
Oh my gosh I am going to be on the look out for those jars!! They are beautiful! Maybe maybe my walmart in canada will have them. They have sold the purple and green and blue vintage special additions colored jars and the colored lids and rings. I misss the colored lids and rings! I still have a few I saved and use them for dry things in jars. And yes you are right. Jump on it you may never see it again with Ball :) The canisters are incredible too. Oh my gosh I love the you choose! Because that has always terrified me yet I knew a something little else probably could be fine but never dared to ever do anything out of the box. Love it. Those jars are beautiful. It's funny, you'd like to find more pint and a half jars, me (being single), would love to find cup and a half jars. I see them for sale on Amazon, but I'm always leery of the quality of them. 12 ounce jars would be perfect for me as a pint can be too big, but a half pint is too small for certain things. I don't think I've ever seen 12 ounce jars up here in Canada. Thanks for your videos, I've learned an awful lot from you. God bless.
Heather, I went to Walmart today, especially for these lol I FOUND THEM! I bought 6-4 packs and girl, I got almost everything you bought here LOL I FINALLY found the 1/2 gallons again and bought both 6pks they had lol And the book too! I was so excited! My sister is a new canner and she was meeting me there, so I put some in my cart for her too, just in case. She didn't want ANY OF THEM! GIRL! I was heartbroken lol One day she is going to remember this day and WISH she had bought them lol I would have bought them for her, but YIKES, the price of those for 4 jars, they are making their money on them LOL And I bought WAY more than I should have today hahaha I feel like we went shopping together haha Have a blessed day, GL with your garden, YOU GOT THIS! I got my set of the 140th anniversary jars and they're pretty. I'm going to put them in my rotation of jars so they may have veggies or tomato products in them.
I love the idea of blackberry and/ or Marion berry pie filling in those new beautiful jars Heather! I ordered my berry’s in 5 lb bags from azure then combined the Marion and blackberry and canned it up into pie filling a few days ago following the Amish canning book instructions. The color is just beautiful as those jars and the taste is out of this world good! 😉
@@TheKneadyHomesteader it will surely not disappoint! I have been ordering for over a year now! I have really been able to stock up in a way that wasn’t possible with just normal grocery and Costco trips. I love their brand of mason jars too! They are thicker and excellent quality jars! ☺️

My husband will be thankful in the long, run, but right now, he doesn't understand...lol...we live in a neighborhood where we live on .18 of an acre, that allows only 4 chickens(we don't currently have any yet) and part of that lot has an in-ground pool. I need to find a way to persuade the Hubby to turn the other half of the yard(which is grass, fruit trees, and a shed) to possibly a couple of raised beds. Does anyone know of a FREE app or website that lets you design your yard into garden space?
Oh my gosh I am going to be on the look out for those jars!! They are beautiful! Maybe maybe my walmart in canada will have them. They have sold the purple and green and blue vintage special additions colored jars and the colored lids and rings. I misss the colored lids and rings! I still have a few I saved and use them for dry things in jars. And yes you are right. Jump on it you may never see it again with Ball :) The canisters are incredible too. Oh my gosh I love the you choose! Because that has always terrified me yet I knew a something little else probably could be fine but never dared to ever do anything out of the box. Love it. Those jars are beautiful. It's funny, you'd like to find more pint and a half jars, me (being single), would love to find cup and a half jars. I see them for sale on Amazon, but I'm always leery of the quality of them. 12 ounce jars would be perfect for me as a pint can be too big, but a half pint is too small for certain things. I don't think I've ever seen 12 ounce jars up here in Canada. Thanks for your videos, I've learned an awful lot from you. God bless.
Heather, I went to Walmart today, especially for these lol I FOUND THEM! I bought 6-4 packs and girl, I got almost everything you bought here LOL I FINALLY found the 1/2 gallons again and bought both 6pks they had lol And the book too! I was so excited! My sister is a new canner and she was meeting me there, so I put some in my cart for her too, just in case. She didn't want ANY OF THEM! GIRL! I was heartbroken lol One day she is going to remember this day and WISH she had bought them lol I would have bought them for her, but YIKES, the price of those for 4 jars, they are making their money on them LOL And I bought WAY more than I should have today hahaha I feel like we went shopping together haha Have a blessed day, GL with your garden, YOU GOT THIS! I got my set of the 140th anniversary jars and they're pretty. I'm going to put them in my rotation of jars so they may have veggies or tomato products in them.
I love the idea of blackberry and/ or Marion berry pie filling in those new beautiful jars Heather! I ordered my berry’s in 5 lb bags from azure then combined the Marion and blackberry and canned it up into pie filling a few days ago following the Amish canning book instructions. The color is just beautiful as those jars and the taste is out of this world good! 😉
I have to contact the lady who handles the Azure about 40 minutes north of me.... and try placing my first order. I am so nervous. hahaha
@@TheKneadyHomesteader it will surely not disappoint! I have been ordering for over a year now! I have really been able to stock up in a way that wasn’t possible with just normal grocery and Costco trips. I love their brand of mason jars too! They are thicker and excellent quality jars! ☺️
