I'm disappointed with the Pixel watch debut so now I'm waiting for TicWatch to get Wear OS 3.x but I'm really hoping the next TicWatch 4 Pro arrives by the end of the year.
I have been waiting for wear OS 3 upgrade for a year. I'm guessing it won't happen. I also think it would not be a substantial improvement though. Hopefully a pro 4 comes out soon, but I have not heard any news about it. The pro 4 could be the best watch out there with just a few changes. The pro 3 and pro 3 ultra have been running great sales though.
Same here. Got the Pixel 7 Pro but the watch was a letdown. The Ticwatch Pro 4 will be at least $299. Right now you can get the Pro 3 for $188. A steal if you ask me.
Don't buy it, I hate saying that. I bought Pro 3 Uktra GPS Fall of 2021 because it was supposed to get the Gear OS3 update in 2022 - March 2023 and still no update, talk of a Ticwatch 5 with the new Gear Os coming out. I would recommend waiting for that, or look at Samsung or Suunto.
I also bought the TicWatch pro 3 expecting to have Mobvoi update the software, which has been talked about a fair amount. Not sure what the issue is. Of course if you buy the TicWatch pro 5, make sure you are content with the initial software because it does not appear that there will be any updates.
Thanks for clarifying! Your right, TicWatch pro 3 has not upgraded to WearOS 3 yet, to the disappointment of many owners (it was supposed to a long time ago). TicWatch Pro 5 runs Wear OS 3.5. You can install it on Samsung watches from watch 4 on.
the gray is because of the 2nd LCD screen. I had the watch default to essential mode when not using the "active" Amoled display. Essential mode activates the passive LCD screen as the always on display, which saves a lot of battery. You can turn this off and then the screen will go black, like typical amoled screen.
Actually, the watch 5 (larger version) and ticwatch have same display size (usable screen) and the watch face is basically same size- however the ticwatch gets a little wider going from front to back. It also looks a little more bulky. The ticwatch has actual bezel (but it is just for looks) where samsung hides the bezel and gives you a digital bezel. When the screen is off or if you have a dark watch face the samsung looks like it is all screen. but if you have a bright watch face you can see the black border easily.
The watch face is from the Facer app- you can get from Play Store. Sometimes its tough to search for something specific in the app but the watch face name is CGE 70 #2. It might be easier to search for the watch face maker- CGE Timepieces- and then go through their watch faces, there are a few that are very similar. Hope that helps!
As far as I know, no. To store music on the watch or seems you have to use a streaming service, RUclips music, Spotify. I have a feeling this was some on purpose to help streaming services. My music library is useless....
@@beckinbinderin and also gps gets stuck at time between my runs, for that reason, i got the garmin fenix 7 and with which i can transfer any music i want and top notch gps, i dont recommend ticwatch at all, i dont trust its data, when i go for 1 hr walk, it says i lost close to 800 calories, whereas on garmin it says 400, which i think i correct, tciwatch is giving more calories for a 1 hr walk and that too double the number, any thoughts in that

I agree that mobvoi should have updated the ticwatch, was supposed to get Wear OS 3 like 6 months ago. At this point, it appears it won't be updated. I do really like the watch though and I have had no problems with it. Sorry you are having issues. I have heard of people having issues with the sleep tracking, maybe software bug or defect. Try contacting mobvoi to see if they can resolve issue.

i wish ticwatch goes to wear os 3 soon, unable to install strava on wear os 2
This was supposed to be upgraded to wear os 3 first in early 2022 then mid 2022. It seems less and less likely that it will be upgraded.
Same for me, I miss Strava. Due to Ticwatch there are working on a upgrade to 3, but no ETA

You should be able to use it on all wear OS 3 watches but I no longer have the pro 3 so I can't confirm it for you. Sorry.
WhatsApp is not compatible with the Ticwatch since it's still on WearOS 2. You can receive Whatsapp notifications though.

It's disgusting, seeing as the Huawei watches have this 'easy' feature. There are a couple of ways, but they're hardly that easy.

@@ajayg9077 I only really use it for navigation via maps. The other data is ignored. Overall, I like it, but we really should be on Wear 3 by now.
Ticwatch pro 3 gps = 100$, ticwatch pro 3 ultra Lte & GPS =135$.
Great deals for those watches. Only issue is that they are not likely to get any software more updates...

Samsung Galaxy 5 HAVE ANDROID WEAR OS 3. 5, Mobvoi crap watch has half of the features broken (like sleep tracker) and no updates. Shame on them.
