Would you take this or a Ferrari 296 GTS?
A bargain compared to the Ferrari and if you can ignore the Italian allure , then this is it. V6's sound great too with an exhaust.

I prefer the Artura, but theses fixes windowed arches, are a strange idea, practical, but not aesthetic
Arches have to descent in the body in order to be qualified as true spider.

McLaren will always and forever be a legendary car brand. Their engineering is simply sophisticated in every sensational aspect of the spectrum.

Porsche is and always will be the best built supercars all around. McLaren has a beautiful design and fast as hell but if they could fix the reliablity and built quality then they would be amazing. The f1 p1 and solus gt are exceptions

For 2025 the coupe will get 700PS, coupe can get the upgrades for free.

yep, Mclaren have confirmed my coupe is getting the power and tuning upgrades as well as wireless apple carplay. Good job Mclaren!
Absolutely love what they did here. I was looking forward to the spider version of this car and they really went the extra mile to make it more than just the roof coming down but added all the extra details to make the car just look better. Was worried that the coupe was a bit too minimalistic from the rear but they added a lot more aggression with this

Having a lot of fun on the configurator for the Artura and the Spider looks even better. I'm saddened I haven't seen more (uh, any) of these on the road yet as they're clearly ridiculously capable cars, with a lot of thought gone into them by the team at McLaren.

This thing does seem better than their last thing. As is often the case with most cars. Although 9:26 says we have to wait to see for sure.
So they made the Artura relevant with more power, topless, sound system and wireless phtone to UI. I might buy one now.

McLaren knows how to design cars just can't build them. All the forums say the owners have nothing but quality and breakdown issues with the artura
To the Mclaren gods, maybe a messenger can send you this. Make your cars morr reliable and less plagued by electric faults and errors and dealrship visits for nonsense.

5:12 I was hoping to hear how McLaren cools the brakes or if there was anything specific to that novice driver aspect that isn’t normally found on other cars or would be used for good drivers with all the ESC stuff off.
Improved airflow to the brakes, which channels air towards the pads even when the wheel is at an angle during cornering.
This car is amazing this is my dream car!

Never been a fan of bright colours on cars and i still wouldn't choose one but this does look quite good especially with the black trim, not a fan ofvthe Artura either but this spec in the spida has changed my mind. All i need to do now is win the lottery......

The most beautiful McLaren today.
The car has many good angles: rear has the same gorgeous look, the sides are cleaner with a 296 intake which I really like, the front tear shaped taycanish ducts don’t quite work. As with all McLaren’s interiors I wish it can be less boring to match the exteriors

So serious question, why would I change my current 720S Spyder for this? Less power, hybrid drivetrain so I have to put gas AND worry about charging it (worst of both worlds). I looked it up, it's slower in 0-60 (2.7 vs 3.0) and has a lower top speed (212 vs 205). Not to mention with the 720s many tuning shops can safely make it hit 1000+hp and still make it daily drivable. Powertrain and Handling controls at your fingertips? I just leave it on sport/sport pretty much all the time unless I plan on driving it hard. It takes 1 second to switch them both to track. Wireless charging? $25 on amazon. The hardtop roof is exactly as fast. The glass roof is just a party trick you would never use and it's a $10k waste of money option. Apple car play? I've had zero issues with just using bluetooth audio. It looks like they did improve on the (crap) sound system on the 720s. You can't hear anything with the top down when you're cruising. Driver assistance and lane departure warnings? I guess that's good.
It just seems like a worst car all around compared to it's predecessor. It's sad, because it's a beautiful great car on it's own, until you realize the previous model was just better. McLaren dealerships can't give away Arturas. I've seen the same few on the showroom floor for months. I keep getting email spammed with offers for the coupe (I've seen as low as a $1,500 a month lease with $30k down, which is kind of crazy actually)
The Artura is replacing the 570S, not the 720S...

McLaren philosophy: everything needs to fit, looks good, handles ass good as an Porsche and Ferrari if not better, must hit 200mph, and must work up to 50miles before breaking down for dealer repair work

Nice car, fast, great driving characteristics. the only problem is that McLaren quality is still very questionable, it was about technology, body seams and structure in general, interior, touch screen and so on, so there are enough problems and the quality has not substantially improved.
The LTs look so dramatic which is a shame because these look so bland in comparison, they need to inject some aggression at the front on the normal models. Rear looks great

Has it got 1 button to turn all the systems off…lane departure, crash, braking, speed blah blah etc ?…or is it like other cars where you have to press 3 buttons then scroll through menus to turn it all off every time you start the car up because it’s definitely putting me off buying any new car..
Lets hope the breakdown horror stories from Mclarens of yesteryear are left in the past.
