What people fail to understand is this: People who buy this car aren't looking for sophistication and beauty. They're looking for brute strength, and the ability to go really, really fast. Fuck the M5, or any other overpriced European pretty-boy car. The Hellcat appeals to a certain audience, and this car does what it's designed to do. Very well in fact.
Thanks for the kind words. We're getting the hang of 4K Ultra High Def camera but it has been a step learning curve. Now that GoPro has a 4K camera we can really take advantage of the latest video technology and give our viewers the best quality car vids we can afford.
When a grown man shows the reaction to a car like Roman did in this video, you know the car is absolutely incredible. His reaction was so genuine, it made me want to go out and sell everything I own to get enough money to buy this car. Seriously though, I want this
Roman, I love to see you get all giddy and laugh like a 8 year old getting off of a roller coaster. In a world of so much negative, I applaud Dodge for trying really hard and succeeding at putting smiles on faces. I wish each HELL CAT came with a few DRIVING COURSES MANDATORY.
I gotta say, Dodge has alot of balls to bring this bad boy of a car out to the market. But in a way its a good thing, to show that they can still do wild things and show that they can make a powerful car.
Great review as always, Roman... Looks like the new 4K format is stating to finally work out for you guys! The picture is amazing, even with youtube's compression level!
Great video I will be getting the Charger Hallcat next year! To me this is one the best performance saloons right now. I have a 2012 SRT-8 Charger with 110,000 miles on it wonderful car.
Yeah, I drove the 3.6 version of it just yesterday and it was pretty damn good! Not quite a 3-series but as close as you're going to get without buying a 3-series.
It would be nice but based on the last couple series I doubt it. They are a group of funny guys that talk about cars but they almost never review anything anymore.
it would completely defeat the purpose of the car. Its called the hell cat because its supposed to spin tires, slide around, and rip your face off. Its about pushing the limits of your scrotum where as the gtr is about putting down numbers. Everybody wants every car to be awd so it can be faster on paper as if theyve never driven a car to the limit before, some cars are actually about pure fun unlike the clinically serious gtr. Also think about mopar trying to piece together an awd system. They have the front axles to handle the power for sure, but they lack the technology to make an advanced enough awd system worthy of the global market. Not to mention that would be like a 5000 lb car knowing dodge lmao
I'll probably never be able to afford a car like the Hellcat, but I think it's great that Dodge is building it. When car companies break rules and exceed boundaries, it keeps things interesting. My next car will most likely be a new Acura TLX or Infiniti Q50.
You beat everyone ! Bravo! Thanks, I have dreamed about a machine like this...but when they come out, I see myself in the 392, I want to live and stay out of jail.. but I know I'm going to get annoyed at all the, "is that a hellcat?" Questions... I have a 2013 300 v6 and I used to get the , "does it have the Hemi" question.. but it didn't bother me when I was getting 30 mpg.
Looks like a great car , but hard to trust dodge quality , what short cuts did they take , what quality materials is this car made of ??? , u would have to take the car up on a lift and have an unbiased engineer give his opinion. Also will this car last after 100k miles
Dodge is not like they were in the 90's. Fiat has really help improve their cars. By giving Chrysler to put money in their cars instead of doing everything cheap like they had to do when they had limited money.
I have a 2013 Avenger (3.6l v6), and Dodge was so confident in the car they gave me lifetime engine and transmission... I have no doubts that this car will be an amazing piece of machinery.
Derek Worth i drove one of those the other day for a rental. had the v6...punching it onto the interstate was impressive. little thing moves out pretty dang good for sure. i love the 1st - 4th gear changes too. only about a 800 rpm drop between gears.
jtugwell I love my car, hard to find another "family" car at 20k that makes 300hp and can do 0-60 in just over 6seconds. Although it's really ruff on gas. I average about 22mpg.
Beautiful Charger in my opinion. Dodge is definitely stepping up their game. Love the fact that they put a louder and more throaty exhaust in it from the factory too instead of keeping it restrictive and quiet. Badass car!
Yeah and a BMW M5 costs like 3x as much as the Hellcat Charger, and still won't beat it. Foreign junk! The Charger is a little lighter than the Challenger, and the Hellcat Challenger is 3.5 sec to 60, and 1/4 mile trap speed (125 MPH) is faster than BMW or Porsche crap. One magazine that I read did the 0-60 time of 2.9 sec. Faster than ANY Vette or zr1 GM junk. Mopar or no car!!!
I have had 3 chargers, 2 of them were SRT's. The attraction for me is 4 doors and all the power in one package. This car is a real bargain. Would love to see what the aftermarket companies like Hennessey can do with this.
Truth be told, BMW isn't what it used to be. Even they've lost their way, with their cars becoming heavier and more automated to compete with current trends. Even going so far as to nickel and dime their clientele with optional power/performance packages for the M cars, which are supposed to be special high-performance vehicles to begin with.
I didn't like the new Charger when it was first unveiled but that design has really grown on me.. I think it looks good now. I especially love the new rear end.. that's one feature I'm glad they copied from the Dart. The Dart at night looks sooo much sexier than the Charger because the Chargers racetrack lights have individual LEDs and the light itself is flat.. The new Charger has the same curved racetrack lights which don't show individual LEDs like the 2014+ Dart, looks so much better.
The interior looks kinda tacky to me although I really like it in the White exterior..but at that price I will still most likely take the M4 or Stingray..
They probably do but won't tell anyone. I remember when they unveiled the challenger hellcat they said it came with manual but they were going to show off the automatic because apparently the new automatic can shift faster then any human
vader11111 oh I know. They let Jay Leno test drive the Challenger Hellcat. They brought him an automatic. He was disappointed at first cuz he usally drives a manual. But he ended up loving the car anyway.
The Challenger and the Charger are both built off the same patform, and are 'sisters'. The Challenger is the two door version of Charger and Chrysler 300.
I feel like you guys could generate more viewers by fixing up your thumbnails. The thick white text in your thumbnails isn't eye catching. Can you try something else?
+jay syed No, you don't get the sound, you don't get the ass end kicking out, you don't get to do burnouts, with a GTR you get a tool, a weapon. With the Hellcat you get something fun, something that requires talent to drive. Who gives a fuck about a fraction of a second 0-60 over way more fun.
This is by far one of the BEST reviews of the Hellcat ive ever seen. Keep up the good work man Im subscribing and telling all my friends and family too! P.S. I have a Hellcat on preorder. :)
the smile on roman's face says everything. i want one, and that is something, i never thought i'd say again about gm or chrysler after the 08 screw us.
Why the hell does it look like mustang/camaro.First the challenger that looked the same since 2009 and now this shit!!!. Its just another hellicat that suck
stop protecting it, I work at a certified car garage all that come in are dodge challenger and charger, the all have at least 100k mile, and they all have the same problem "the car will not start," dodge engine suck
TroLLhungery Okay 'trollhungery', whatever you say. Dodge is popular here in Australia but you'll rarely see a Charger or Challenger, so I can only that their build quality is fine for their other vehicles. But you were talking about appearance, and that's what my first comment was regarding. I don't really care what you have to say about their engines.
I agree!!! I always wondered what the hell the people at chrysler were thinking when they decided to make the Charger a 4 door and an automatic only transmission.
KOG1235 I hear what you saying but its supposed to be a high performance car. You don't put a family in a car with all that power and then never ever use any of it. Just pointless. The people with families should get a van if that's the case. Way more seats and provides much more comfort. That's my thoughts on that deal there.
Chris Carter "Don't buy this high performance 4 door car with 700hp and an auto tranny because it has 2 more doors and it deviates from sporty 2 doorness. No muscle car should have 4 doors. Muscle and convenience? No never gonna happen. Instead buy a much gayer minivan because for whatever reason I could think of you can't have 4 doors an auto tranny and use all your power." that's what your comment sounds like right now.
I didn't like the front end at first either...but after seeing a bazillion videos...I love it now. It looks sleek and terrorizing at the same time...similiar to an Audi...
Sorry Roman nothing impressive in this car Not At All Impressive in all respects. Oh my the BMW M5 specs suggest only 552 HP and 502 ft-lbs compared to the Hellcat's 707 HP and 650 ft-lbs with a base price of $92K starting $30K above the Dodge. Romans says this sounds like the making of a classic TFL Mashup review.
I'm a BMW guy. I daily an 1998 E36 328is. I weekend an 1987 E30 325is. And I think to a point you're right, but also skewed. Yes the M5 is a much more composed, well rounded car. It's extremely refined, massively powerful, blazing fast in all areas. Personally, I LOVE the M5. It's an incredible piece of engineering and performance, and is basically unsurpassed. It's what every other full-sized luxury sport sedan wants to be, and is a unicorn chased by other manufacturers. The problem is that you're assuming that this car is targeting the M5. It's not. It's not trying to seem refined or trying to pretend to be anything its not. It was built from day one to be a monster. Untamed, unhampered, and angry. It's a super saloon, just like the M5 is. But I think this car is meant more as a statement than an M5 is. It isn't really tame or restrained at all, is it? It's focused on being raw and in your face. When the Viper came out in the 90's, there were many cars in its segment that were more refined, proven platforms. They had way more glimmer on their belt. But guess what car in the segment had everyone terrified? The Viper. It was a raw and rugged punch to the throat, basically making the statement "I dont give a s**t, sit down in my seat and hang the f**k on, because if you mess up, I'll kill you." Given this car does have several more assists and such, and many more electronics to make it a viable street vehicle, I think this is kinda the same idea. It's just that big guy that walks up, punches the heck out of another guys face, and says "I have 707 freaking horsepower, and I really dont care what you other punks think. Don't screw with me." I also add that they built this car with the idea that it has no segment. The said this at the reveal. It doesn't fit in with a GTR, but it's not really in the M5's class, but then it's definitely putting down supercar figures... They just decided to literally say "F**k it, we're gonna build it because we can. Lets redefine what a street car, 4 door, grocery getter can be." Many would say that this is what the M5 does, but I would disagree there too. The original M5 broke the mold, and said that a 4 door can be a supercar too. It challenged all the conventions of what one could, and what one should do. The Hellcat, while it's not trying to be so, honestly stands more in these ideals than the modern day M5 does. Todays M5 says "Look at what is possible, look how well we can do this. Look at how well it performs and how incredibly balanced it is, and look what years of engineering have created." The Charger Hellcat just says "I dont care that you say a 4 door shouldnt have 700hp and run 11s. I do. And I don't care what you think, because deep down, you know that at least for a moment, youd love to drive me. Like that deep dark fantasy that you've always had at easy access but never taken advantage of because you feel its below your standards." On the issue of value, I want to agree with you. I REALLY want to agree with you. But I'm not sure... Have you looked at the depreciation lately? While the most desirable cars, like the E30, E30 M3, the original M5, M6, etc. Are skyrocketing, many more modern cars are on the low, M cars included. Not that I see this as a bad thing per say, but its true. You can now buy an E36 M3 with decent miles in great shape for under 8 grand. You can have a same generation M5 for less than 12 grand, at least around here you can. Non-Ms are even lower. I saw a 120K 540i on craigslist the other day for like 4 grand dude. And while there are always little things wrong, it was a well maintained, very well recorded car with some little paint problems. The problem you run into is that technology advances extremely fast these days. Todays M5 will be far outdated in 4 years. All the technology it utilizes will be obsolete and second hand. After 5 years time, an new M5 will lose a huge chunk of value. The Hellcat will suffer from this as well. But, performance wise, its technology is set to persevere longer and depreciate less. The 8 speed auto will always be able to be driven by anyone, and is a piece of technology already on the forward curve. The M5 utilizes turbos to make power. Turbo technology, while it will stay the same in principle, is currently evolving rapidly, and so those turbos will be soon outdated. The Hellcat uses a twin-scroll supercharger. The technology has been around for years, and the blowers are still pretty much the same as they always have been, with slight tweaks here and there. There's not much about the Hellcat powerplant to become obsolete. Theres not a lot on the car at all to become obsolete. The infotainment? Yeah true, but Chysler's infotainment is pretty high up in the industry and will take its time depreciating since its the same system Ferrari and Maserati use in their cars. Plus, you don't have a huge sum of money to depreciate from. A Hellcat 5 years from now will still be worth 40 grand, maybe more. An M5 will only be worth slightly more, which says a lot considering an M5 starts in the 90 grand range and the charger starts 30 grand less in the 60 grand range. Point is, I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. While the M5 is a superior package, and I'd like to believe it to be superior overall, I'm not so sure it has superiority over what the Hellcat is aimed for. I could be totally wrong and the modern M5 could maintain a huge resale, but then, maybe I'm not wrong at all. We'll jsut have to wait and see.
Roman that is a splendid idea sir. In the spirit of good sportsmanship I think a lot of viewers would like to see a Mashup between the Chrysler Challenger Hellcat and the BMW M5. Regarding the price differences in the case of the BMW in the end it is about best return of investment, and the best resale value holder in a five year strech. You have been reviewing cars long enough to honestly know Roman the BMW will always come out on top it is a matter of black and white facts and figures. I would like to see a show of hands, How many viewers would like to see a TFL car mashup between the Chrysler Charger Hellcat and the BMW M5 Please make your polite comments to Roman directly. Chrysler, BMW have you got your ears and eyes open?
To me this car is amazing. Its somewhat of a sleeper car with its 'modern' appearance but it's fully capable of winning a couple red-light drag races against other cars. Personally, I prefer this rendition of the charger over the previous versions because of its more sleek design (everyone is entitled to their opinion) but since I live up north I see a good amount of snow which means I have to settle for the V6 AWD model, not that there's anything wrong with that model. Not to mention it reminds me a bit of my dream car, the 2012 Transformers Edition Camaro.
The host of this show is awesome. I wish they had an awd Hellcat Charger, I am afraid of rwd. I drove a v6 charger around curves and it was the worst in the world, I sure hope this car can do it.
Killer car. Edelbrock makes a supercharger system you can put on a 5.7L Hemi Charger or Challenger that produces over 530 horsepower once installed. Comes with an intake manifold, programmer, etc... A whole kit. It's like $7k-$8k. I sell Pursuit Package Dodge Chargers with the 5.7L Hemi @ my dealership. I've got a 2011 right now. One of these days I'm gonna have to get that Edelbrock Supercharger System & have 540 horses for less than $20k. I just sold a 2008 5.7L Charger with just over 100k miles for only $8600!
Continued... In the the last few years as far as interior/quality. Haters can hate but I plan on owning a Hellcat someday. Hopefully not TOO long from now. I'd most likely go the Challenger route as it sticks to the muscle car roots.
Roman, Great review, looks like you had a blast there at Summit Point. Do us a favor, though...please fix the audio levels. When you're talking in the car, your voice is hard to hear, then you go to exterior shots and the music is blasting. Thanks!
An accurate analogy for this car versus European cars is a rhinestone and a diamond. They both coruscate, but the former is cheap tat, the latter is pure beauty.
I'm surprised how many haters of this car. 63,000 for a 700+hp car. And to boot it's a grocery getter. Can anyone fit 4 people and a load of groceries in any other supercar? This was engineered to handle the power. I'm sure their engineers did there research.
Completely blown away. When I first heard about this car I was sure that 707HP would be useless because this car wouldn't be able to handle all that power, but I was wrong. Not a fan of American cars but this thing in insane and with that much power I wouldn't care about the fact that this car's quality is no where near my LS460 which costs even more that this. But it all goes back to how common chargers are on the road. The only people you can impress with this car are petrol heads. As for LS and other full size luxury cars, you're going to stare at them no matter who you are. I wish a luxury car offered this much power for under 100k. But no, You pay like 150k and still get under 600hp in almost all full size luxury car's performance models.
Obviously none of you who left comments listened properly. This car does 60 in 3.7 seconds when launch control is active and wheelspin is controlled. There is no other American car that can outperform this car... at least until the Corvette Z06 is tested professionally.
BMW i8 sound is not fake. It has 3-cylinder engine and those engines make absurdly beefy sound (compared to hp). Even the weakest 3-cylinder, they just sound weirdly good.
Can I add that +The Fast Lane Car picture quality is super crisp and vibrant. Keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks for the kind words. We're getting the hang of 4K Ultra High Def camera but it has been a step learning curve. Now that GoPro has a 4K camera we can really take advantage of the latest video technology and give our viewers the best quality car vids we can afford.
The Fast Lane Car lol go pros make 4k cameras, damn
It sounds absolutely incredible. I want this car. I'm gonna sell a kidney.
To buy this car, you'd have to sell your brain !!!!
MrKeyboardCommando It's not THAT expensive, a kidney is more than enough. It's one of the best cars you can buy for this kind of money.
Don't do it. Don't do it lad! You have too much to live for!
Bruce Solomon Yeah, like this car. As if a single missing kidney would kill me.
Jesus Christ What if you have a kid and have to give them one?
Damn dodge really outdid themselves with this one
That supercharged monster is addicitve and sounds like a symphony
So much freedom in one package. :D
Does it come standard with team America?
MrGovenator1 Damn right!!
72Disco1998 FUCK YA
MrGovenator1 yea
The styling has grown on me. Especially since someone pointed out that the white Charger looks like a Stormtrooper.
Freakin' Right! Well done Dodge! Great styling, great power...improve the reliability and I'm in!
When a grown man shows the reaction to a car like Roman did in this video, you know the car is absolutely incredible. His reaction was so genuine, it made me want to go out and sell everything I own to get enough money to buy this car. Seriously though, I want this
Dear Dodge boys.
Please do not allow the local police department to own any version of the Hell Cat PERIOD!!!!!
Trust me, even with the Charger R/T's everyone has now, they are already unstoppable.
agreed
8:30 watch the background
Shane Smith 1997TL1000 NOOOOOO WHY THE HELL DID THEY LET THE POLICE USE THE HELLCATS!!!!!!
All the cops need to do is arrest a drug dealer driving this car and its theirs.. You worried about a cop being able to run you down?;)
Five years later and my 2016 HC still gives me 10 smiles per gallon
Roman, I love to see you get all giddy and laugh like a 8 year old getting off of a roller coaster. In a world of so much negative, I applaud Dodge for trying really hard and succeeding at putting smiles on faces. I wish each HELL CAT came with a few DRIVING COURSES MANDATORY.
It’s crazy how far they came !!!!
But that front and headlights, it looks badass. I love these new Hellcats. Definitely going on my list of cars. :D
Great video I will be getting the Charger Hallcat next year! To me this is one the best performance saloons right now. I have a 2012 SRT-8 Charger with 110,000 miles on it wonderful car.
204 Miles per hour = 328.306 Kilometers per hour for anybody not an American, or a Brit.
I really hope Top Gear comes back to the United States and drives one of these, the C7, and maybe a Cadillac or something it would be great!!
I can see it now. Hellcat (Challenger or charger), C7 Z06, ATS-V. Would make for a funny episode.
Or the new CTS-V (whenever it comes out) haha
Eric Pettersen Apparently the ATS is set up wonderfully. Not they just need to sprinkle a little magic on the V version.
2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: A great way to muscle your kids through traffic to school while satisfying your midlife crisis all at the same time...
Just bought a 2015 Charger SRT8 392, but this is still the car I aspire to own one day. Just an absolutely MAGNIFICENT piece of engineering!
+James Nelson KUDOS to Dodge for having the BALLS to build this!
I really want to see this car with AWD it'll be awesome
the front diff probably wouldn't hold the power
smcombs100
no it can hold the power
Even though it is a Charger- yes an AWD would be very nice! And useful!
You put all wheel drive on this thing then it might be a GTR killer :-)
it would completely defeat the purpose of the car. Its called the hell cat because its supposed to spin tires, slide around, and rip your face off. Mark my words I will own a hellcat in my lifetime. Either a charger or a challenger I WILL OWN A FUCKING HELLCAT IN MY LIFETIME
I would be a cop, just to drive the charger police interceptor lol
Dodge/Chrysler has a lot of courage putting out a product like this. This is truly unbelievable. We need more companies like this!
I'm a ford guy (mustang) but God damn I love the challenger.
I must say Dodge has took over. There #1
Looks like a great car , but hard to trust dodge quality , what short cuts did they take , what quality materials is this car made of ??? , u would have to take the car up on a lift and have an unbiased engineer give his opinion.
I have no doubts that this car will be an amazing piece of machinery.

niemann999 yes ! it was very nice of fiat to help them
I would love to drive this! And thank you for actually enjoying the car and letting us enjoy it with you!
First the Challenger, now the Charger. Will they bring the Grand Cherokee version?
Of course, they have the SRT already, it's the next logical step.
cadsux I really hope they do, it'll be my next vehicle if not I'll just purchase the Charger Hellcat then
Beautiful Charger in my opinion.

This thing is a goddamn monster.
i have never seen Roman so happy.
Half the price of a M5.......Same performance...arguably better.
Is it worth paying 2x just to have the BMW badge?
Truth be told, BMW isn't what it used to be. Even they've lost their way, with their cars becoming heavier and more automated to compete with current trends. Even going so far as to nickel and dime their clientele with optional power/performance packages for the M cars, which are supposed to be special high-performance vehicles to begin with.
No one will ever use all of the hp, but it's just fun to have! I like that they made this.
If dodge made it a 4wd
I would be THE BEST car!
dude u went crazy, lool, after ur reaction to the acceleration of the hellcat, i cant wait to drive one
that supercharger whine tho
I didn't like the new Charger when it was first unveiled but that design has really grown on me.. I think it looks good now.
I especially love the new rear end.. that's one feature I'm glad they copied from the Dart. The new Charger has the same curved racetrack lights which don't show individual LEDs like the 2014+ Dart, looks so much better.
Seems it shares the same infotaiment system with the Maserati Ghibli... mashup review in the (beautiful) Colorado?
while i prefer TFL truck this was the video that sold me on TFL in general!
The interior looks kinda tacky to me although I really like it in the White exterior..but at that price I will still most likely take the M4 or Stingray..
Chrysler has been giving their cars and trucks better interiors over the years now.
Lolman240 You do not have to get it with the red inserts.
Obvious choice if you don't have a family, but if you do...
Gonna buy one next year
Should offer a manual option.
They probably do but won't tell anyone. I remember when they unveiled the challenger hellcat they said it came with manual but they were going to show off the automatic because apparently the new automatic can shift faster then any human
Dan Mullaney Manual is more fun, more driver involvement. Dodge Viper is manual only. So they should at least offer manual as an option.
vader11111 oh I know. They let Jay Leno test drive the Challenger Hellcat. They brought him an automatic. He was disappointed at first cuz he usally drives a manual. But he ended up loving the car anyway.
Dan Mullaney He will probably love it more if it was manual.
Nice videos, guys! I enjoy every one. Keep up the great work!
they need a charger coupe
It's called the Challenger
Roy Thigpen lol right
Roy Thigpen maybe back in the day, but i dont think they look at all similar now.
The Challenger and the Charger are both built off the same patform, and are 'sisters'. The Challenger is the two door version of Charger and Chrysler 300.
No they don't that's the challenger
i agree on the looks. i hated it at first, but it has definitely grown on me. and the red looks badass
This is not a Review.
*****
Watch it again.
He reviews what?
He looks like He never been in a fast car.
Wow! Golly....!
Woo-Hoo....!
How do you like my review?
*****
I never said that.
He could be as emotional as he pleases.
Love the way they bounce when they start the burnouts!
I feel like you guys could generate more viewers by fixing up your thumbnails. The thick white text in your thumbnails isn't eye catching. Can you try something else?
Wut
amazing review thanks guys ! i wish u spent more time showing the interior
20k more for a GTR with AWD 0-60 2.9 sec would be better.
I agree with you on the exhaust sound part but I don't know anyone who would say that GTR is not a fun to drive car.
I never said it wasn't. But it's too serious
Or put drag radials on the Hellcat and do 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.
This is by far one of the BEST reviews of the Hellcat ive ever seen. Keep up the good work man Im subscribing and telling all my friends and family too! P.S. I have a Hellcat on preorder. :)
Please get rid of this old guy......
the smile on roman's face says everything.
i want one, and that is something, i never thought i'd say again about gm or chrysler after the 08 screw us.
Why the hell does it look like mustang/camaro.First the challenger that looked the same since 2009 and now this shit!!!. Its just another hellicat that suck
You're blind -_-
stop protecting it, I work at a certified car garage all that come in are dodge challenger and charger, the all have at least 100k mile, and they all have the same problem "the car will not start," dodge engine suck
TroLLhungery Okay 'trollhungery', whatever you say. Dodge is popular here in Australia but you'll rarely see a Charger or Challenger, so I can only that their build quality is fine for their other vehicles. But you were talking about appearance, and that's what my first comment was regarding. I don't really care what you have to say about their engines.
only in australa
TroLLhungery You bet.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, it's a happy man... PERIOD. Awesome car!
Like why? It's a lame family car and the thing would run so much better with two less doors.
I like the front of the car though.
I agree!!! I always wondered what the hell the people at chrysler were thinking when they decided to make the Charger a 4 door and an automatic only transmission.
Practicality, you can get the 2-door challenger, but some people have families and don't want to deal with a stick in traffic
KOG1235 I hear what you saying but its supposed to be a high performance car. You don't put a family in a car with all that power and then never ever use any of it. Just pointless.
The people with families should get a van if that's the case. Way more seats and provides much more comfort.
That's my thoughts on that deal there.
Chris Carter
"Don't buy this high performance 4 door car with 700hp and an auto tranny because it has 2 more doors and it deviates from sporty 2 doorness. No muscle car should have 4 doors. Muscle and convenience? No never gonna happen. Instead buy a much gayer minivan because for whatever reason I could think of you can't have 4 doors an auto tranny and use all your power." that's what your comment sounds like right now.
***** comment don't sound like anything you just said. You added a bunch of other stuff in there.
I didn't like the front end at first either...but after seeing a bazillion videos...I love it now. It looks sleek and terrorizing at the same time...similiar to an Audi...

Final Comment(s)
BMW M5 will always give a better return on your initial investment over the Chrysler Hell Cats, BMW will always have a higher resale value in 5 years than the Chrysler Hell Cats.
Jeremy Lopez What?
Oh my the BMW M5 specs suggest only 552 HP and 502 ft-lbs compared to the Hellcat's 707 HP and 650 ft-lbs with a base price of $92K starting $30K above the Dodge. Romans says this sounds like the making of a classic TFL Mashup review.
Why would u buy a bmw? Expensive parts, maintenance etc. When u can get a hellcat with 707 hp!!
Don't screw with me."
I also add that they built this car with the idea that it has no segment. Like that deep dark fantasy that you've always had at easy access but never taken advantage of because you feel its below your standards."
On the issue of value, I want to agree with you.
I had just as much fun watching him have fun while driving that fine piece of machinery. :-)
That V8 sounds amazing! LEXUS, take notes for your first ever GS F, supercharger it.
GM and Ford do not have anything like the Charger.
Dodge rules the streets AGAIN!
After purchasing a Honda Civic Type R, I will be looking for one of these.
Great. Now my CTS-V's been one-upped. Amazing job, Dodge! Seriously. That exhaust note is so, so beautiful. :)
I dont know why people are so against a supercharger whine and the way i love that sound
What a BEAST!! Well worth the money.
4.5 seconds. Big like. Great video.
This car owns all!
Mopar rocks!!!!!
I just sold a 2008 5.7L Charger with just over 100k miles for only $8600!
mopar engines are always the best
Continued...
In the the last few years as far as interior/quality. Haters can hate but I plan on owning a Hellcat someday. Hopefully not TOO long from now. I'd most likely go the Challenger route as it sticks to the muscle car roots.
can't wait for the Dodge Grand Caravan SRT Hellcat!
I'm more of a luxury man myself, but roman sure make a brotha wanna buy one of these quick, "LMBO'!!!
You have one of the best jobs in the world.
From 6:10 to 8:04 is pure gold. MURICA!!!! LOL
The engine and supercharger sound amazing.
Roman, Great review, looks like you had a blast there at Summit Point. Do us a favor, though...please fix the audio levels. When you're talking in the car, your voice is hard to hear, then you go to exterior shots and the music is blasting.
Thanks!
CAI, Ported blower, intake, heads and Borla, Bassani or Magnaflow exhaust, and a good tune, easy 900HP
An accurate analogy for this car versus European cars is a rhinestone and a diamond. They both coruscate, but the former is cheap tat, the latter is pure beauty.
when he said " the fastest" i was like " im out bye'
The time I got was 4.36. I believe that's very impressive for a sedan that only costs approximately $62,000
I want the sledgehammer. Some extra work on the body and badass rims.... ITS PERFECT
love the front end and Roman does not no what a sports car is
I'm surprised how many haters of this car. 63,000 for a 700+hp car. And to boot it's a grocery getter. Can anyone fit 4 people and a load of groceries in any other supercar? This was engineered to handle the power. I'm sure their engineers did there research.
Dodge truly giving a one finger salute to chev and ford
BOY can you hear that Super charger
Like a kid in a candy store. Love it!
form what i checked it was 4.5 seconds for the 0-60mph
and this is a "family" car... hehehe
what an AMAZING CAR !!!!!
my dream car...
We can find that cars nowadays have made great change to our life.
its one beast of a full size sedan
It's so beautiful... wow 707 hp.
