- Gimnazija Kranj Great Christmas Concert 2017 - Invitation to the Dance. Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra and United Choirs performed this stunning music under the baton of maestro Nejc Bečan. The Orchestra sold out two consecutive nights, december 18th and 19th, 2017 in Gallus Hall, Cankarjev doma, Ljubljana, Slovenia, EU. They played as usual with great spirit and musical excelence. It's no easy feat to pull off this level of performance with such control and command of the trombone. If people only knew the precise level of air, artistry and embouchure control this takes. A truly accomplished artist.

Beautiful trombone rendition of this song. That's a reason I like this orchestra from Kranj.
Trombones are the strings of the brass family. How, you ask? They're analog. A centimeter or so off in either case, means an inaccuracy in the note intended. Not a good thing.
I know a 1st chair violinist who is married to a 1st chair trombonist. They're a very interesting family. They can't let anything slide *eye roll to my own bad joke*. Actually, they're both perfectionists. They spent a lot of time at home running scales and practicing attacks. It helps a lot.
As a fellow trombone player, I shed a tear. Hope to be this good some day!

The intonation is almost perfect - I just would like to hear more vibrato at the end of the phrases - and tighten up some of them so it does not sound so mechanical.
