👌👌 I like your info and advice on OMAD and IF. I was in that mindset for the longest time, the idea of feeling hungry all the time was too much but after switching to keto and IF, it took about a week or so to adjust but the hunger just dropped off. I also started with two meals a day closer together, I did 16-8 and inched up to 20-4 and then down to one meal. It's all mindset. This coming from a person who struggles with mental/mindset issues (anxiety/bipolar 1/ptsd/adhd). I have lost 65lbs and haven't switched back to eating bad, because I feel so much better! I have 40 more to go!
I prefer using radishes in place of potatoes rather than cauliflower. Cauliflower always tastes like cauliflower, the radishes, however, take on the taste of the soup, do not taste like cauliflower or radishes and makes an excellent low carb replacement for potatoes.
What I like about this is that food is the one addiction where you have to have the addictive substance. So this way, one meal, you eat once and you're done. You can walk away from the addictive substance.

Going to make this tomorrow using Riced Cauliflower and Spinach = what I have on hand. Intermittent Fasting works great, and I am never hungry from it. It does help to fit all of your food into 1 meal.
This is an awesome soup (with options). Most days I eat very simply and try to make enough for more than one day for the freezer (for those REALLY bad days when you don't even want to cook) and this can be that meal.
How much sausage,? I will use Conecuh sausage. 1 c heavy cream? I've lost 40 lbs since Thanksgiving! OMAD. Never hungry. All cravings gone. Feeling healthy!

Add half & half & clams with juice. Season with salt, pepper & a dash of cayenne pepper. Add Xanthum gum & stir. Let simmer so it thickens. Hope you like it. 😊
Im trying to start a journy to lose 70#. I have lipedema so its a bit harder for me. Ive been trying months to diet but i cant stop eating. So going from "cant eat enough" to ije meal might be to drastic. Maybe i will keep trying until i can get my eating under control. I have none right now.
So what's the "secret ingredient"? I seem to have missed it. I realize Amanda is being a bit facetious, and that there's really no secret at all... it's just a really well crafted, delicious soup, BUT what's the ingredient the magazine publishers referred to as part of the "Triple Threat"? Is it just the cauliflower in place of potatoes?
What happens if you cannot stand cauliflower? I can't even stand the smell of it. What to do? I haven't taken the 3 days challenge because of it and also I have no gall bladder. Usually can't even eat salads. period. goes right through me...
IDK about another substitute (turnip?) but I can tell you that I have no gallbladder either and have been doing this for several months. Your body does adjust quickly! Good luck finding a decent substitute that works for YOU! :)
@@launileavitt8686 i made a very good version of friend "potatoes" using radishes quartered and fried in bacon grease, add the cooked bacon too. I have heard they are a good potato substitute in soups.

Amanda added watercress she picked out of a creek bed on her property. I think that was her ‘secret ingredient’.

I've heard radishes make a good potato substitute too, and that they don't have the peppery taste once they're cooked.

Use zucchini. The flavor is mild, and if you want a thicker soup, you can blend the veggies once cooked.
