The hamstring and the groin injuries are obviously connected. I’ve been pissed at Dabol since the Eagles playoff game. They went for it on 4th down early in that game and they never recovered. A reckless gamble. He gambles when he shouldn’t and is too conservative when he shouldn’t be. He makes bad decisions consistently.

@@charlesbarkley223 bad coaches don’t groom QBs .. in the first game of 2023 , right after Jones signed the contract , so the first game of last year Daboll literally fed jones to the wolves .. We were losing 40-0 to the Cowboys and all the other number 1’s were out in the 4th qtr except Jones .. He left jones in that game to punish him and it was done 100% intentional .. The cowboys were running circles around the Giants Line and jones was getting demolished.. That was the start of the lack of confidence Jones showed last year .. Daboll was asked why he did that and said something corny like it was an oversight or something. Please name any other coach that has left their starting QB in game 1 of the season while losing 40-0 especially after just signing a 160 million dollar contract ??? Jones has not been the same since . Daboll sucks and he’s a spiteful , vindictive dude ..

Nobodies blaming Daboll for not thinking Gano would get hurt, it’s the fact that Gano had already been questionable before the game and they have a kicker on the practice squad they could have elevated and they only had 52 players on the active roster. There was literally 0 drawbacks to elevate the kicker just in case.

But the reality is, the previous night's game can be discussed in about 5 minutes. This is 24 hours of sports talk, discussing the same game, over and over again. So all they do is scream and yell hoping to get callers motivated to call them. It really makes no sense. But what I dislike the most is this guy that yells, like Russo, never played the game beyond Little League. yet, they fancy themselves as experts.

It would make so much more sense if they were giving legit gambling advice so they at least provided something of potential value. If they are experts as they claim, then they should be able to win 55 percent of their gambling picks and that can have great value.
If they fall under 50 percent on gambling picks then they should lose their job and be replaced by someone else who can take their try at it.
Shows like that have value and they also bring real consequences and pressure to the hosts which is actually fun for the listener.

They provide no insights, since they never leave the studio and actually go into the locker rooms and interview players or front office personnel. They pick a topic make some sort of decree, and then sit back as about a hundred listeners (usual the same characters each day) take the bait and call in. You are right though, they are never held accountable for any of their predictions ot statements they make.

This loss had nothing to do with the quarterback. A fumble by the running back, a dropped pass on the 2 point conversion and the #1 draft choice drops a 4th down pass that hit him in the hands.

Huge communication error involving Daboll, training staff, special teams coach, and Gano. The fact this is 2nd year in a row this has happened is completely unacceptable. I wasn’t in the room when Daboll decided to roll the dice on Gano, but it reflects poorly on both of them. I still like him as a coach but maybe he needs to forget play calling and focus on all 3 aspects of this 0-2 squad.

Correction the offense played significantly better but the defense did not. The defense had poor tackling and allowed third and long situations to progress into first downs. I think there was a third and 13 and a third and 14 converted and that's certainly is a defensive coordinator problem. So, I'm in agreement it is disrespectful for Pat Leonard to waste the question on whether or not dayball is nervous about his job this early in a season. We're not even at the quarter point. Where were the questions for Shane Bowen? Because I saw a lot of missed tackles and I saw extended drives for 9 minutes or longer by Washington. What's the excuse for that? As much as I don’t like DB, it’s 100% justified to fire him after this year. Very likely we are going to be 0-5 or worse and that looks terrible. But how he’s been handling the media and the wink and kafka situation, along with the complete fumbling of the Gano situation. He deserves the can.

For me, it’s hard to go by the Commanders game (I need to see it against someone else) because they always beat up on or play better against the Commanders.

Conspiracy theory: Joe Schoen knew Daniel jones was gonna suck and they had to pay him anyway so they’re tanking without saying as much so they can cut the bait with jones and draft their actual choice. It’s why they let saquon go and drafted Malik but that’s just a theory…
How don't you just have a backup kicker in general? A kicker can get hurt even if fully healthy. Am I missing something here or do all teams play without a backup kicker and just accept the risk?
Most teams only carry 1 kicker/punter on the active roster. They back each other up if one gets hurt, but it's usually a flop since kickers suck at punting and punters suck at fg kicking. Then you just have to deal with a random position player handling the kicks if your kicker/punter are both down. You can only dress 48 players on gameday. Bets are usually on that those players won't get injured, so you blow the extra spot on a spare kicker/punter so you never dress multiple of either position. Whether the Giants should've had 2 kickers is up for debate though.
@@sirkevstah289 Yes, teams only have a punter and a kicker on the active roster. You are right that they are expected to back each other up should injuries occur. But punting and place kicking are two different skills, most fans don't understand that since they never did it other than on a playground. I remember years ago, Dave Jennings got hurt in a game and the Giant place kicker had to punt for him. Perhaps it was Joe Danelo, I'm not 100% sure. His punt was blocked, because his timing was all off. Jennings looked like he was ready to cry on the bench. At any rate, I think this is just sports talk radio heaven as all this does is generate phone calls.

Losing is losing no matter how you do it.
Punters knowing how to kick field goals and vice versa should be a minimum requirement to get the position. It’s almost like running backs knowing how to catch passes.

They know gano has a groin injury since Friday, yet you don’t elevate the kicker from the practice squad that you signed for this exact scenario ????
