Pat Leonard wrote a piece earlier this year about how erratic and difficult Daboll is. Coaches league-wide knows he sucks to work for and won't come here as long as he's head coach.

Defense didn’t give up one td in 7 red drive tried. Your 80 mill dollar qb is supposed to win you these games. Not have less than 200 against an ass secondary.

I was at the game and the punter was practicing during halftime on the field kicking regular field goals and he seem to be making most of them. He did mostly kick line drives.

One thing I don't understand is why teams use the punter as a holder. And that's not a Giants/Daboll thing. Most teams (if not all of them) use the punter.
I get that the roster constraints make it challenging to have a backup quarterback in that spot. But the issue is that the punter is also the backup kicker. So, if your kicker gets hurt, you now have both the kicker and holder playing out of position for an operation where timing is so vital.

Adrianna, I am with you 100% in your analysis. I would put the defense at the top when it comes to the loss with the kicking game at a close second. Giving up many third and long conversions is criminal. One more defensive performance like that and you can sign me up for finding a new defensive coordinator right now.
I thought that the Giants only dressed 52 out of 53 players on the roster for this game so Daboll could've dressed the back up Kicker.

Schoen and Daboll brought this upon themselves by agreeing to commit to DJ, in order to get the job. Now they're stuck with paying their QB a top 5 salary for a guy who's in the 30s or 40s as an NFL QB, and this wasted money bleeds the team dry of talent. Benching DJ doesn't solve the problem. The cancer on the Giants is the vast overpayment of a backup QB as a top 5 NFL star.
Facts we need to get rid of Daniel Jones he is a true #2 at best he can back up Drew Lock and play wildcat but we can't forget his injury clause

TBH when Jamie Gillan missed the 36 year FG, in my mind, I was like, this is actually a good excuse to go for it on 4th down all game. Usually coaches tussle with going for it, we got given an excuse to go for it. I'm ok with not letting the Scottish hammer kick all game.
If I remember correctly, one of their TD's came on a drive where they passed up a FG attempt they would have otherwise taken if not for the injury. Putting this one on the Defense.

It's crazy to think we brought in Daboll in because he was seen as a QB development coach and he never got his own QB to develop, he got Gettleman's QB who got him fried.

This is why I don’t like picking from the Saban, Bill B tree. Their assistants aren’t unique, instead try so hard to be just like their boss and that only works when you’re winning championships.

I don't like Daboll. Here's why. In the opener last year, the Giants were getting walloped by Dallas, in the rain. In the 4th quarter, the game was way out of hand, but he left Jones in. Who leaves their starting QB in a lost game in the 4th, especially when he's been getting pummeled all game? Do you want him to get hurt or are you just a stupid, a'hole?

If you replace Daniel Jones with a ‘hobbled Saquon Barkley,’ in your cited example, the fan base would accept it without question - in terms of bashing Brian Daboll. Never ever understood how and why that happened and what it did to the franchise is unmeasurable.

There's absolutely no excuse for not having someone who could kick in case Gano got hurt which Daboll knew when Gano was listed on the injury report. It's bad coaching period. And Tiki may not listen to Daboll anymore but I do and one thing is very noticeable. He's more talkative after a win. He answers questions differently and will even breakdown what happend why a play worked and so forth but after a loss you get we're disappointed in the loss the guys competed it just didn't go our way we have to get better and get ready for next week. That's it.
I know as Giants fans....we should be optomistic about our team. When you look at this schedule though.....who are we beating? Maybe the Panthers?

The Daboll mantra is centered on continuous improvement. The big problem is he uses it as a sound byte without explaining WHY the "process" is or is not working and what the staff is doing about it. Continuous improvement is a process for sure, and it operates like the flywheel on a bike. Hard to pedal at first but easier over time, enabling more creativity that is resting on a solid foundation. The Giants do NOT show this solid foundation.

How did they fumble getting their QB? They couldn't trade up. They had ZERO leverage in making any deals with teams who themselves needed a QB and the other options WERE NOT franchise QB material for them.

Honestly, we know how they all felt about the whole Jones and barkley contract situation. Many players voiced opinions on that, but felt confident that the Giants would take care of SaQuan. When they paid D. Jones 40 mil a year and let Barkley, their ACTUAL offensive leader walk and sign with the Eagles, I feel like that was the beginning of them losing the team. I think some of them are upset about that and some have quit...at least not giving 100%. I honestly think that has something to do with it. The rest of the team. They are tired of losing with Jones turning balls over and playing subpar to bad football every year. At least with Barkley they had a leader and a chance. He was also a great and close friend with a lot of the players. The way they handled that, and how they did Saquan, paid Jones and let him walk to sign with Eagles caused a lot of respect to be lost for the front office from the players.

It sucks that the Giants lost but honestly this was a loss I imo that I could stomach our team is not in sync. Daniel Jones, Nabers, and Singletary were good and the O-line. Then the defense allow alot of yards could not stop their run to include Jayden Daniels.

The fumble, the drop, the defense, and the one short kickoff lost us the game. The fumble was big. Daboll cant play for these guys. He can only coach them and call plays. They could have won this game without the kicker, had they not fumbles and Nabers would have caught the ball. Also, if the defense could stop anything.

@@stephenlukcasy9047 I wrote out a wall of text explaining this and lost it all. So, i wont waste my time writing it all again. I will say this, however: Yes, it was mara. "We did everything to screw this kid over". His words. He wants him under center and he will pay him. SB was approached way before DJ. SB didnt want what was offered by a GM/HC that was focusing more on throwing the ball than running the ball. So, why pay so much for a guy that isnt going to get involved as much in their game plan? Mara knew he picked up a HC that did this, so he shouldnt have hired Schoen if he knew that SB was not gonna be the focal point of the offense.
