The Jets made a mistake not re-signing Huff and Franklin-Myers and then trading for Reddick. Reddick's behavior indicates to me that he doesn't think he's any good anymore and, if he plays, won't merit a large contract. Therefore, he is trying to extort a big contract from the Jets rather than having to prove he merits it on the field. The Eagles are a smart organization and there is a reason that they let Reddick go. On top of all of that, the Jets aren't going anywhere this year, so why throw a lot of future money down the drain for a past his prime player? There is no Jets Super Bowl window, Rodgers' presence is elevating them from poor to mediocre. The team can't block, can't stop the run and is poorly coached - the talent is just not there. It can't be a win now mentality for the organization when they can't win now.
Huff was a free agent so the Jets had no control over that besides he was a part time player and currently isn't lighting it up with the eagles. The thing that hurts the jets is trading JFM to the Broncos. I think there's a push to sign Reddick this week.

The Giants as a whole significantly improved from week 1, DJ didn’t turn the ball over, was actually taking shots and scored 2 TDs and got them in position for a 3rd. The o line and run game are also coming along nice. Now it’s against the Commanders so we will have to see if it was improvement or if it was just playing Washington and the Browns game will be very telling in that regard. The D is only 2 games into a brand new system, I’m going to give them a bit to figure out how best to apply the D as the unit continues to understand the scheme and each other better. The coaching and roster management though… we win that game if they just put a competent kicker in as back up which we do have a back up so yea really fd that up. I’m willing to be patient for 2 more weeks before I give up because of the improvement between week 1 and 2, so long as they build on that improvement we should have a good season. If they don’t then well at least we get to pick whatever QB we want next year
