Well not really........If you check history the US was already experimenting with Jet fighters by the time WWII ended, and so was Brittan. Such as the P-59B, the P-80, FH Phantom, the FR-1.
I thought i would take a moment and praise the modern Revell kits. They have come such a long way over the past three decades. From hating them to more or less loving them. Thankyou Revell :)Viel Spas bei Revell.de !
Yo estuve 35 años sin construir maquetas y hace un año que he vuelto, eres muy bueno, Me inspiro mucho en tus videos para construir mis maquetas, gracias por tus videos
Horten/Gotha 229 was really a gun in the Secret Weapons of The Luftwaffe PC game. Two or three cannon shells was enough to drop B-17 Fortress bomber. And fighting against P-47 Trunkenbolds and P-51 Mustangs was a piece of cake. It is great, that worlds first stealth fighter is available as model. Very interesting video! (Luftwaffe pilots named P-47 Thunderbolt as Trunkenbold = drunkard.) Is it better spray a gloss lacquer before inserting decals? After decaling seal these with layer of semigloss or matt lacquer thinly. German paints were mostly semigloss, particularly when pilots waxed their planes. This helped gain a little amount more to flying speed (which in Go 229 was really good!).
It's incredibile the tecnological progress of WWII era, in 1935 EVERY air force had biplanes, ten years later there are these incredibile designs, Naturally with their age's tech I don't think could've worked, remember Northrop's flyng wing, but could always pass for some cool alternate sci-fi fighter, the model is fantastic
Precioso trabajo, impresionante diseño...como no, alemán. Un saludo desde España, un enamorado de los aviones alemanes años 30 y 40. As german guy I thought you preffer my comment in spanish..;) :)
Building Models again now after 20 Years brake... I had this model back then. It was not grey... model was kind of brown plastic... don't know exactly anymore... i like 1/48 scale! there was a dragon go-229. but not available in germany anymore... i wish there would be more go-229... :-)
I just finished this kit. Took me about 30 hours. But i also did a lot of photo etch and a little scratch building. So it very much depends how you build it, if you do it out of box and with a simple paintjob you can easily get it done in 10-15 hours.
Love it..I have been looking for a pre~built one. Have not built models for a long time....not sure if I should undertake it no try building one. Very nice job...thanks for the video..
Cheers. I do like studing ..the way you study the paper and the way you fix this bizarre plane. Me I ḿ waiting for my He 111 H6 1:48 comes...and it got Torpedoes !!! ;)
the US was oh so lucky the war ended before this marvel of engineering took to the skies.
glenn maidhof it did only for a test flight though and crashed so we were lucky there

Nice build - how many actual hours was the build please?

Juan Santiago Luft-X makes a decent looking pre-built (resin) HO-229. You can usually find them online for around $35.00.
EXCELLENT work
Thanks! After 20 years and one test build my first new one.
That makes it even more impressive.I have been modelling again for 2 years and I'm not that god yet.
I love the music in this what is it ? fantastic model making
Super I still have to paint my RC Horten
Super du spricht ja deutsch 🙈. Ich will demnächst meinen RC Horten lackieren. Kannst ja mal auf unseren Kanal ansehen ist jetzt noch leucht-rot
excuse me, but it was HORTEN not horton (horten brothers was an unpaired Aircraft engineers) they can rest in peace...
Oh, thanks. I didn't realize that I wrote it wrong the whole time.
Anyway, a very good model of a wonderful plane, it was many years forward his time, compliments, bye

was there a reason you didn't paint the canopy?
nice work all the same.
What paint did you use on the under belly of the plane? Looks great!
Beautyful plane, I have one, too:)
is the landing gear functional?
is this a good starter ?
Tommy Lakasi id say, it is
it's a simple aircraft, but a smaller one. i would say it is
Front landing gear construction is a bit of dificult to build
I wish I could build all my models so quickly. I would have all my stash of kits finished in 12 hours. Ha-ha...lol
How big is this one
You cant faster?
make more build vids pleazz
I have got hawker hurricane Mk. IIc
flash!
Maybe you can make the video slower, to apretiate better your work. Maybe taking 30 minutes .
The music made me want to eat a hand Grenade.
Well then
feel freely
