Thanks for the video! I wanted to let the viewers know that Amazon's email customer service gave me hard time like Camron mentioned. They are incompetent. However, the problem was fixed within minutes by phone support. I sent the Raw photos of my product with the logo and brand name and they changed it right away.
I tried this and they kept sending me to brand registry support then saying it's against amazon's policies. Has this happened and how did you resolve it from there?

After uploading the inventory file, above where you choose the text, there’s a section where you have to choose a file. Which file do you choose? I’m not even sure if that’s where I’m going wrong. Excellent video .. would be VERY helpful if it still worked. Sad to say Amazon has changed something. I have been selling on Amazon for 10 years. Things USED to be so simple. I am very familiar with working with flat inventory files. I have two brands (since I began with one and made a change to a new brand). Make ALL of my products myself, no distributers, brand gated, Own both my brand trademarks, etc etc ... I have been trying for the past few days to change all of my old brand procucts over to my new brand name. Just using ONE asin to test before I go to bat with the rest of my inventory. My items are exactly the same ... just different designs on each item. Every single attempt has failed with the error: "The SKU data provided is different from what's already in the Amazon catalog ... bla bla". I have writen support about 6 times and have gotten a number of canned responses. Mostly this one: "Unfortunately, we do not rebrand individual ASINs once they have been claimed under a brand." Something about the possiblity of harming my seller metrics (right). Two of the replies did outline the instructions you give in your video ... so I made a brand new attemt at it saving the file as a txt file (instead of excel) hoping that was the magic ticket. NOPE. Same error. FAIL. But I believe this can still be done, as only ONE of the SS replies said this: "We understand you are trying to change the brand on your ASIN. We are glad to help you today. Unfortunately, we do not rebrand individual ASINs once they have been claimed under a brand. However, you can decide to rebrand all the ASINs with the same Product type as the ASIN requested to the new brand. Please, give us confirmation through this case if you want us to proceed with this changes." I had HOPE! So I immediatly replied to the affirmative, then got the normal canned "sorry can't do it" response. Tried several more times quoting the positive response I had received earlier but it did not help. I have a list of over 3000 skus that need changing. I'm so afraid that if I have to do these one at a time (providing I finally get one through...) it will just be nightmare after nightmare X 3000. Have you tried changing any of yours lately?
Hey dude, great video, but my situation is a little different. I also created a listing using the Brand Name 'Generic'. Got the listing up, and got my FNSKU printed on all my products. Now trying to finalise the listing and get the same error that the brand 'Generic' is locked to the ASIN and I cant change it. Been backwards and forwards with support for weeks. ALL of them tell me something different. What seems to be the most consistent though, is that I need inventory in stock to make any changes. This is my first ever listing so I only have the one. My first inventory is not yet at the FBA warehouse and I'm trying to sort this out before they arrive, but it seems I need inventory in stock before they MIGHT be able to change the brand name. My brand name is already approved for use and I am able to create new listings using the brand name, so that's good. I'm just wondering if I'd be better off creating a new listing seeing as I am yet to start selling using the current listing. Only problem is that the FNSKU will be different and I already have it printed on all the packaging. Also, it's already on the way to the warehouse and the shipment is connected to the current ASIN and FNSKU. Do you know how I would go about getting the inventory changed to the new listing and FNSKU if I did create a new listing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated mate! Thanks.

I'm going through the EXACT same thing with 550+ ASINs and its wrecking me. I've gotten 4-5 different responses from seller support. Sometimes they just do it for me and sometimes they shut me down. Its a pain in the ass

Hi Camron, I am getting the following error when I am trying to edit the product name: The value 'XXX' specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value 'YYY' for ASIN 'AAA' in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN 'AA', update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc.). Can you please help me with this? Just wanted to ask a couple of questions: 1)Regarding the deleting of the parent SKU and relisting with a new parent SKU and combining them again, will this at all effect: a) The reviews of the products? b) Any pending shipments for restocking the products that we want to change the branding for? 2) Additionally, does the GS1 brand for our products need to match with the brand that we intend on changing it to on Amazon? HI,I want add something .I tried changed brand name with flat files .Later they told me I have to make one of this condition like in the film.Finaly they sent me email saying I have to now make all this condition instead of one: The manufacturer's site, not a vendor or another retailer, and it must contain a Unique Product identifier UPC/EAN/GTIN. - Images that include the product packaging, the UPC and model/make if there is one. UPC certificate and brand name - The Manufacturer's data sheet or product manual (scanned or pdf format from their website) it must contain an image of the product and the unique product identifier. - Barcode should be printed on the Item and not labeled Horrible
Great video Camron. I in a position where SS is telling me to delete the parent and re upload. However are there permanent consequences to the current children listings if I do so? Will it be a new ASIN and have to reupload everything else, or just the parent will be deleted?
How do you fix stranded inventory when you're in this situation? I had already sent my inventory in and then changed the asin/brand but now the only option amazon gives me is to create a new listing with the OLD asin. Need help

Do we reapply for a new brand on the brand registry? Or do we ask them to change the existing brand with the new brand? Which is the more Amazon-friendly path and easier?
These days they are email as weel as phone support are giving standard answer like this is controlled by Brand owner and they only can change it via brand registry.

This Week (04/24-04/30/22) Amazon had a HUGE Glitch in their system where they allowed the company DABLIZ GROUP INTERNATION TRADING LLC to purchase the "Generic" Brand! I can not thank you for this video enough, as I have been searching for the answer because not even Amazon could show me how to go about this issue that they messed up. Huge Thumbs UP! and hopeful this will work, still waiting for the uploads to go through.
This is the right way to do BUT it did not worked for me. the Brand name never get updated even after deleting SKUs and relisting them via Product Upload. The 3 word old Brand name is stuck and its not getting updated even after 6 weeks of continuous tries.

I followed the whole instructions. However, I keep getting errors. Even though, it force enters the updated brand it leaves a red "!" in the listing. On top of that, I couldn't add the new parent. The video is from 2020. Does anyone know if there is another thing that I need to do to fix this. Amazon changes constantly. I googled , tried to find an answe but couldn't manage it. I know the pain. I have to change tons of listings with their variations up to 40 variation per listing. The word disgusting does not do justice to the process. It is so backward, 80s era, not even 90s. No seller should have to deal with this shit. Especially when it is a trillion dollar company. They cant have a proper seller system/wizard in place with all the money they're making. Amazon is horrible!

Hi Cameron, I have around 450,000 ASINs (all variations with around 34 different sizes on each item) would you recommend deleting parents and then changing brand name and creating new parent etc as this video instructs - of course i would test a few asins first before a big upload, but do i need to request the change first with seller support or can i really do all this myself ? Hi, thank you for making this video! It was extremely useful but unfortunately I am unable to resolve my issue, which is changing brand name on a couple of my listings. Amazon Seller Support has been completely useless. Following your instructions, the brand name has changed on my inventory pages but not on the actual listing, which still show the old brand name, and because of that, I an unable to change ANYTHING on these listings. I have bombarded support to attempt to get this resolved. Amazon states I need my Gtins numbers, which I have but unfortunately I cannot confirm which number is for which listings. When asked Amazon seller support, they said they do not even have access to this info on their back end, so they can't confirm. So now, out of desperations, I am thinking about duplicating the listing to, at least, save my precious reviews. I asked them if this is something I could do but they could not advise..... Any advice would be welcomed :) what should I do, duplicate the listings? or delete the old ones, wait 24h, create them again with a new GTIN but same SKU?

thanks for this info. currently my brand name "XYZ" is displayed on my listing under brand and sold by. understand "Sold by" is supposed to be our storename, (ABC) how can i change from my brand name (XYZ) to my storename "ABC"?

If I create an account under my LLC and want to sell in two different niches, do I need to trademark two logos and create both brand names under my LLC name?

Yes, 2 brands would need 2 trademarks. Can do this under 1 LLC and 1 account.

However, I did my updates yesterday, and I do not see anything happening. I have not created shipping labels yet, and inventory is zero, so the listing is not live. HI,I want add something .I tried changed brand name with flat files .Later they told me I have to make one of this condition like in the film.Finaly they sent me email saying I have to now make all this condition instead of one:
The manufacturer's site, not a vendor or another retailer, and it must contain a Unique Product identifier UPC/EAN/GTIN.
- Images that include the product packaging, the UPC and model/make if there is one. UPC certificate and brand name
- The Manufacturer's data sheet or product manual (scanned or pdf format from their website) it must contain an image of the product and the unique product identifier.
- Barcode should be printed on the Item and not labeled

Great video Camron. I in a position where SS is telling me to delete the parent and re upload. However are there permanent consequences to the current children listings if I do so? Will it be a new ASIN and have to reupload everything else, or just the parent will be deleted?

How do you fix stranded inventory when you're in this situation? I had already sent my inventory in and then changed the asin/brand but now the only option amazon gives me is to create a new listing with the OLD asin. Need help

We have an existing brand on the brand registry, and we are thinking of changing the brand name. Do we reapply for a new brand on the brand registry? Or do we ask them to change the existing brand with the new brand?

These days they are email as weel as phone support are giving standard answer like this is controlled by Brand owner and they only can change it via brand registry.

You have to check their Patent and if there is no patent on that product, so You can sell it.

What if the product is only for a stand-alone listing no variations? like a single child listing?
This Week (04/24-04/30/22) Amazon had a HUGE Glitch in their system where they allowed the company DABLIZ GROUP INTERNATION TRADING LLC to purchase the "Generic" Brand! I can not thank you for this video enough, as I have been searching for the answer because not even Amazon could show me how to go about this issue that they messed up. Huge Thumbs UP! and hopeful this will work, still waiting for the uploads to go through.
This is the right way to do BUT it did not worked for me. the Brand name never get updated even after deleting SKUs and relisting them via Product Upload.
The 3 word old Brand name is stuck and its not getting updated even after 6 weeks of continuous tries.

I followed the whole instructions. However, I keep getting errors. Even though, it force enters the updated brand it leaves a red "!" in the listing. On top of that, I couldn't add the new parent. The video is from 2020. Does anyone know if there is another thing that I need to do to fix this. Amazon changes constantly. I googled , tried to find an answe but couldn't manage it. I know the pain. I have to change tons of listings with their variations up to 40 variation per listing. The word disgusting does not do justice to the process. It is so backward, 80s era, not even 90s. No seller should have to deal with this shit. Especially when it is a trillion dollar company. They cant have a proper seller system/wizard in place with all the money they're making. Amazon is horrible!

This type of situation is so messy 😆 I’m struggling lol I got approved for my brand right after I already created my listing.
I finally got them to change it then I got this email this morning.
We have detected a policy violation that negatively impacts your account health. If left unaddressed, this may lead to account deactivation.

I have a single listing and i need to change brand name for it.
I have used full update feed file.
I have deleted my listing for 24 hours twice.
I have given proofs of my product images with item FNSKU and EAN too.
I don't know why it is still not changing my brand name.
I have hijackers on my listing, is it due to them that Amazon is not changing the brand name of my product?

Hi Cameron, I have around 450,000 ASINs (all variations with around 34 different sizes on each item) would you recommend deleting parents and then changing brand name and creating new parent etc as this video instructs - of course i would test a few asins first before a big upload, but do i need to request the change first with seller support or can i really do all this myself ? I had a marketplace consultant who was unable to change brand names so if i just follow the instructions in this video that sounds really good. Thanks. Hopefully you can reply!
So my product will be in Amazon fullfilment center in around 5 weeks,I already did my listing in case I have some issues to solve, do I need to close my listing ? I know that when you ran out of inventory you close your listing so that you don't loose your ranking,but do I have to do it now as well ? It is a new listing

Hi, thank you for making this video! It was extremely useful but unfortunately I am unable to resolve my issue, which is changing brand name on a couple of my listings.
Amazon Seller Support has been completely useless.
Following your instructions, the brand name has changed on my inventory pages but not on the actual listing, which still show the old brand name, and because of that, I an unable to change ANYTHING on these listings.
I have bombarded support to attempt to get this resolved.
Amazon states I need my Gtins numbers, which I have but unfortunately I cannot confirm which number is for which listings. When asked Amazon seller support, they said they do not even have access to this info on their back end, so they can't confirm.
So now, out of desperations, I am thinking about duplicating the listing to, at least, save my precious reviews. I asked them if this is something I could do but they could not advise.....
Any advice would be welcomed :) what should I do, duplicate the listings?
or delete the old ones, wait 24h, create them again with a new GTIN but same SKU?
How long did the process take to for them to make the changes?

thanks for this info. currently my brand name "XYZ" is displayed on my listing under brand and sold by. understand "Sold by" is supposed to be our storename, (ABC) how can i change from my brand name (XYZ) to my storename "ABC"?
