Awesome video thanks for the update!
Ill stick with my 2022 3rd gen for a few more years. Not sure if i want a 4cyl turbo in my truck. Hybrid is enticing though. As far as pricing i dont think any manufacturer cares anymore. They have this whole generation thinking a $1000 per month car payment is ok.
That is very true unless you put a nice down payment and a trade in.
I've spoken with my Toyota Manager in Canada and his Western Canadian Toyota rep says they anticipate new deliveries starting in December of 2023 and early 2024. This is what Toyota Canada has told them. American's always get delieveries before we do so I bet the Tacoma starts landing in US dealerships in November of 2023.
Great video. They can't afford to roll a new Taco out in Q3 of 2024. They'll be buried by the competition. The new Taco needs to be on showroom floors in the fall of this year at the latest.
100% agreed
Nah. I dumped a 2020 F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost to buy a 2023 Tacoma. I did that precisely because the F150 was a bit too big and not much fun to drive. It was quiet, very powerful and had twice the payload of my new ride. But the manual trans Tacoma is much more fun to drive. Price isn't as important as you think when choosing between a mid-size and full size pickup.
I’m pretty sure we’ll see the new truck at SEMA this year almost guarantee that.
Honestly I only ask them for two things:
1. Better mpg, in 2023 i4 power with V8 mpg is EMBARRASSING, I know it’s a truck and there’s only so much they can do to fight it’s aerodynamics but cmon
2. Make the Damm thing more spacious, I know it’s a mid size truck but it’s severely behind the competition in terms if interior space, shit, even the smaller ford maverick is more spacious in certain ways
Grat video and thanks for the info! But you never answered the question if you're thinking about trading your truck in 🤔🤔
I mentioned it when I said if it cost the same as the tundra, then I won’t go with a 4th gen Tacoma
Ill keep the damn near perfected 6cyl that can easily go beyond 300k miles vs some new turbo'd 4 banger that craps out and needs heavy maintenance @ 100k miles. No thanks.
I completely understand that but I think Toyota will make a turbo 4 cylinder go a lot of miles too.
@@TrucksandWater the first few years are going to be hell.
It's a 10 Speed Automatic and as you know, 6-Speed Manual.
Will delete this comment in 1 hour.
🤡🤡🤡🤡 video
He's not wrong. The hybrid should be 326/465 lb-ft.
Transmission is a 10-speed auto.
