  • I just installed a steering camper on my Visa 10 plus to eliminate speed wobbles above 35 mph. these are my thoughts after installation.
I purchased the damper kit from RevRides.com
very fast shipping from that shop.

Saw your comment on the tutorial and then found this lol. I ended having to extract that set screw from the same side you had trouble with. It was ridiculous.

Even if you go 20 mph most of the time, all it takes is a small rock or something to start the death wobble - its supposed to be stiff. Just 2 degrees of unexpected left or right steerage can become a bad power slide and dump. I installed it and use it at 8. Makes it easy to hit my phone up for gps, adjust helmet, adjust mirrors, and scratch my butt.
Its like insurance: you might hate paying for it, but it only takes one incident to make it invaluable.

Thx for the review. I'm currently thinking of adding a damper to my 10+ as I get the wobble at high speeds but truth is I only go that fast on straightways that are empty or its simply not safe (traffic/pedestrians ) so I think based on your comments I'm just gnna drive a lil more tame lol.
I love the way it drives currently and don't want to risk changing that. Especially for that much money and effort.

Yeah. After 400km with v10+ i have ordered damper too. First gear you can ride without any problems with that scooter. But at higher speed, on the second gear, is a bit scary.. front wheel starts to shake. it helps me when i take all weight in a front... But there is no comfort at all... So yeah.. on this overpriced scooter to have a damper is a must, like wear a helmet. I dont like so many things on v10+. Every one talking about premium quality. I this is premium, cant imagine about others scooters... Be safe, drive with brain, respect others! Cheers!

Hey, thanks for the video, I just wanted to ask you: did you install the 35cm damper? The Matris one? Thanks for your reply 👍🏽

I bought the evo design version from RevRides

Evo design makes the bracket, the actual damper is from Matris.

Thanks for the review! I wonder have you changed the suspension also? Since you talked about wobble I am curious since I have read that this could cure the wobble also.
I want to make a warning for the multi-tool you get with the scooter. The metal is really soft and will ruin the bolts eventually.

I have not changed the suspension as I never had an issue with it. the wobble was my main concern. that's why I ordered this somewhat expensive damper.

@@DrWonderEyes Ah ok. I wonder though if the suspension can cure or is the cause for the wobble. I mean since it isn't real hydraulic suspension but only spring suspension. I haven't reached absolute top speed yet since I am still learning the scooter but I have got a hint of the wobble.
Anyway great that it fixed the problem! 👍

It's not turning all the way both sides

The damper is a game changer for high speeds! I like mine at 12.
I agree though, removing the set screws was a B%#*tch!!!
