I found every archeological treasure of American buttons you can imagine: bakelite buttons shaped like tiny Chinese lanterns, mother of pearl of every description, glass, and little bone buttons commonly used on Civil War era men's pants. I still find new stuff in that jar.

When I lived in southern Spain as a teenager in the 70s, those long millefiore beads were called 'Goulamine Beads' because they were supposed to come from Goulamine in Morocco or thereabouts where they were left as offerings in the desert to give good luck. I still have some from that happy time!
That rectangle yellow piece looks like it could go in a loaf pan and be a loaf of bread for the dolls house. The beach looks like it would be a good place to sift for finds.
You two are doing what I would LOVE to be doing!! I find myself wishing that my daughter shared even a fraction of my interests. What a joy it would be to do this together.😊

I love watching all your videos,i also love Mudlarking and sometimes cry with joy if i find something wonderful! There is a very old film called "The mudlark" about a little boy who mudlarks to survive during the Victorian period,and he finds a cameo of Queen Victoria, so he seeks to meet her in person, it's a lovely film which i think all mudlarkers will enjoy if they haven't already!❤
5 hours of mudlarking?? Dream life! I've done it once for about 20 minutes (a cheeky shuffle on the Thames during holidays over there) but I want to do it regularly. Those Traderbeads are so Beautiful I bought lots of them living in Ghana. They are not cheap, but so special to find one on the beach. I have exactly the same on my traderbead necklace.
What a Spectacular Day, Ladies! Beads everywhere and the yellow glass piece you found Fleur couldn't be a more perfect cube of butter, to sit on a tiny dish for the doll's kitchen counter or table. Fave finds were the broken eye, Kate's large bead, Fleur's marble, badge and the very rare horse head. Fave moments .... the beginning, middle and end of the vid with that furry ball of Love in a box. Julie's gift was oh so special.

I love the little things you find best of all on your Larks. You found some really amazing finds. Those beads were so beautiful. I was so surprised to see that black bottle, as i have a tiny one of those with the lid and label. In perfect condition. It still has some of the fragrance inside it. It was one of a couple of old bottles of perfume which were kept on our family Christmas tree at my parents. The bottles belonged to my grandparents. The smell of the ornaments for the tree smelt of the perfume in the black bottle as they were all stored together in an old cutlery box, lined with royal blue velvit...no less. Lol Oh how i loved that smell. I still have the bottles and some of the old ornaments to this day. I often go take a smell and I'm transported back in time, to standing in front of our Christmas tree, dazzled and excited by all the treasures on it. Plus waiting and getting so excited at the thought of Father Christmas coming to visit our home. What happy memories. Anyhoo, thanks for the memory jog and I'm looking forward to seeing your new posts on Sundays. X

The curved piece you found near the beginning with the carving/embossing looked like a purse frame for a beaded purse. Perhaps made out of celluloid. Lots of lovely finds, especially the millifieore and the badge.

As much as I love the sea glass and stoppers we are blessed that most of our beaches are cleaner than that. With that said I would love to mudlark with them.

Treasure Beach is well named! What a pleasure to join you for the discovery of beads, glass bottle stoppers, art glass marble and myriad other finds. I grew up looking for coffee bean cowries "groatie buckies" at Corona del Mar Beach in Southern California. I used to dream of a beach where I could find beads washed up in the sand, but I always awoke, disappointed it was only a dream. Now I find out such a place really exists!!! Thank you for sharing this fascinating mudlarking excursion. Visiting this place is now at the top of my wish list.
Your videos are delightful, wholesome and enchanting. I find them magical in so many ways. I do ache with some melancholy at your mother/daughter relationship, which I was not afforded for various reasons, but I have some inkling of after raising 5 sons, with the youngest sharing some of my interests. The yellow-ish wedge-shaped thing that wasn’t a bead looks similar to one’s I have from bracelets. I have one that has individyallyal sections linked with chain and two solid hinged halves.
37:49 Your disabled soldiers and sailors badge was a great find. Here in the United States, it is referred to as a Purple Heart. Every soldier or sailor that was injured, while in battle, is known as BOOTS ON GROUND. If they were shot or wounded, whatever the case may be receive a Purple Heart. It would be interesting to see what color that one was because if it was purple, it would coincide with the United States, Purple Heart. It is the shape of a heart, who knows in World War I, it could have been laden with letters

That was amazing, and also frustrating. LOL I kept seeing things that I'd like to examine - like the green pottery piece @35:33, immediately to the left of the exquisite glass stopper in Kate's hand. I think that going to England to beachcomb has risen to the top of my bucket list.
Special day for special tiny things. You mentioned too many of a certain thing, sort out duplicates and either donate, sell, or use this will give you more room. This will allow you to have the joy of collecting again without the feeling of too much of a good thing.
The smooth coins could be used as platters/plates in the dolls house. My mom and I have built several dolls houses, complete with electricity. I look forward to your new channel!

The sea glass at the dollar store is not real. It is just tumbled glass. It has it uses, but just to let you know

I think it is because it is mainly 1920s and they loved there flapper necklaces :)

Treasure Beach is well named! What a pleasure to join you for the discovery of beads, glass bottle stoppers, art glass marble and myriad other finds. I grew up looking for coffee bean cowries "groatie buckies" at Corona del Mar Beach in Southern California. I used to dream of a beach where I could find beads washed up in the sand, but I always awoke, disappointed it was only a dream. Now I find out such a place really exists!!! Thank you for sharing this fascinating mudlarking excursion. Visiting this place is now at the top of my wish list.

I find them magical in so many ways. I do ache with some melancholy at your mother/daughter relationship, which I was not afforded for various reasons, but I have some inkling of after raising 5 sons, with the youngest sharing some of my interests.
Still, we can live vicariously through your adventure and I feel tis a blessing either way.

The yellow-ish wedge-shaped thing that wasn’t a bead looks similar to one’s I have from bracelets. I have one that has individyallyal sections linked with chain and two solid hinged halves.

37:49 Your disabled soldiers and sailors badge was a great find. Here in the United States, it is referred to as a Purple Heart. Every soldier or sailor that was injured, while in battle, is known as BOOTS ON GROUND. If they were shot or wounded, whatever the case may be receive a Purple Heart. It would be interesting to see what color that one was because if it was purple, it would coincide with the United States, Purple Heart. It is the shape of a heart, who knows in World War I, it could have been laden with letters

That was amazing, and also frustrating. LOL I kept seeing things that I'd like to examine - like the green pottery piece @35:33, immediately to the left of the exquisite glass stopper in Kate's hand. I think that going to England to beachcomb has risen to the top of my bucket list.

The smooth coins could be used as platters/plates in the dolls house. My mom and I have built several dolls houses, complete with electricity. I look forward to your new channel!
