They have a huge selection rough rock, tumblers, grit, jewelry supplies etc. at good prices. I buy most of my coarse grit from here in 45 lb. bags. It's the best price I have found. @@doniharper4624 I know of a lot of good beaches, but nothing near Detroit. The closest to Detroit I have hunted is Harrisville, about 3.5 hours north. If you're interested in northern Michigan beaches, I have a lot of videos on my channel. If you let me know somewhere in the northern lower peninsula or the U.P. that you'd like more information on, I can list a few locations and videos to watch.

You're right about the mudstone.....it's easy to see them as a beginner tumbler and think that it might tumble nicely and have all of those cool lines in them but you learn quickly just how soft they are and then avoid them. Cool looking rocks with large sizes but like many, the most interesting to tumble tend to be the small ones - more bang for your tumbling $$$. Love the Unakite....I pass on most of the Puddingstones I find (although I see that a lot of people love them) unless they are unusual with lots of Jasper. Your Petoskey's tend to be larger than what we find on the Canadian side of Huron near Kincardine but like what's in the video - the smaller tend to be the better - thanks for letting us walk with you.
