Wow, I have watched reviews with literally no overheating. You are aware that the DJI will cut off the screen and continue to record ???? In fact it bested the GoPro in ever test I have seen when placed under identical conditions. How the hell did you get those results. That is a perplexing anomaly. If you use the camera outdoors, you probably won't have any problems. We also had no problems outside. But if you want to film permanently, you will get the problems as you can see in our video. The room has a normal temperature of 19-21 degrees.

The front color touchscreen seems super convenient for vlogging and changing settings on the fly without taking the camera off.

Shooting in 10-bit color across all resolutions is awesome. Gives me so much flexibility when color grading.
I love my DJI Osmo Action 3! It is reliable, works very well amd has great battery life and doesnt overheat! What more can anyone ask!
How long can you shoot continuesly before it over heats

Your audio is amazing - what mic are you using?
My point of view, numbers mixed with personal opinion:
DJI:
- more linear
- better microphone
GoPro
- better stabilization
- more vibrant colors out of the box
Weaknesses of both:
- dynamic range mostly off, needs up or down in post production
- exposure a bit off, needs correction in post production
- For the ppl who are unable to imagine: both can't deliver TV-quality for a good reason. 🤭 Why are TV-cameras 100 times that big and expensive? 😂

So I have a GoPro max I was wanting the GoPro 12 I have been watching videos on the dji 4 which one should I get
Why is it that other reviews show dji with better stabilization, battery life and UI. One guy was still having the gopro freeze up, and what about the front touch screen and larger back screen.
There are 2 options:
1: Either you put the logos in the wrong places throughout the video.
2: or this video was sponsored by Gopro.

11:46 That's weird, in other reviews the Dji OA4 surpases the Gopro h"12" in battery with no overheating problems. Maybe that one you own, have some kind of problem.
I am so confused. There are tests showing, that the GP11 overheats earlier than the OA4 and tests showing the opposite. wtf

Im Schnittprogram werden die oberen und unten Spitzen einfach abgeschnitten. Den Gainlevel habe ich schon bei -15. Bei der Dji Osmo action 3 war nicht der Fehler bzw. das Problem. Eine idee vielleicht. Macht die G11 immer noch die Abstürze wie, filmt weiter, filmt gar nicht, erst wieder Akku raus, dann gehts es wieder?

Osmo video a bit soft , gopro 11 sharp and nice detail. But some pictures osmo look better. Confused.
gopro flat mode isn't the true log files. @gopro you should give us some real stuff.

I find Osmo action 4 confusing as it it is one generation later and yet still can't beat Hero11 in many aspects. It does not seem action 4 is much different than action 3 either.

GoPro 11 image quality looks better in every comparison I have seen. It seems to be a lot of influencers saying the DJI quality is better even when visually the DJI only wins in certain lighting conditions. It still isn't performing that well in low light. Not was well as the Pocket 2. I own neither yet but will be buying soon to start travel/cruise vlogging . If the GoPro 12 improves on the 11 I will buy that. If not I will just buy the 11. Will probably get the DJI pocket 2 as well for low light/indoors/restaurants etc. Want to wait for pocket 3 but no ETA on that and pocket 2 seems to do what I need well enough.
Also looking to buy the Hover x1 flying camera.

For the features and performance packed into this tiny body, the Osmo Action 4 seems like an incredible value gadget.
The DJI should be $100 cheaper, then it'd be a "killer". But for the same price why not just stick with GoPro and its world of mods and accessories.
Because it has 1/3 of the battery life and 1/2 at high or low temps.
@@r00kiet80 Well of course the cam with less maximum resolution and less processing enhancements uses less battery and generates less heat...
@@megavengian622 forgot to mention when they're running at the same resolution and framerate & all enhancement disabled :)
Their battery is a piece of crap, their software aswell. They literally have the same problems since 6 generations of cameras now lol

This is the only video I have watched, and I've watched a lot, where the hero beats the action in overheating and battery. Gopro fanboy video here. Cant trust this review at all

On the both cameras you're
a bit underexposed. I saw many reviews which theses two action cameras and the subject is a little underexposed.
Gopro looks better in every scenario. Osmo seems to be trying too much.
The thing is, every one that owns a DJI camera is not really a action person. More like bloggers. Big difference. I have own all GoPros starting with 5 till now and never have overheating problems. I’m a mtber not a blogger. GoPro have over sale DJI from day 1 with action 1
Overheat. For time lapse and warp, the GoPro only lasts 25 minutes?! I'm very disappointed with GoPro.
I hope GoPro Hero 12 will come with many improvements including 6K or even 8k video recording and GoPro Hero Max 2 which can compete more with Insta360 One X3
Your intro saids it all, DJI contact you, so of course you are doing DJI a favor. @chrisrogers uses nothing but GoPro, and none of your videos come even close to one of his. That speaks about the camera, and also your video editing skills.

They didn't even try when they stole GoPro's design. Also, their timelapse quality is straight up unusable compared to GoPro because of the insane blurryness. SloMo is bad too for the opposite reason, at 4k120 it's really oversharpened on the DJI. And at 1080p240 the DJI once again looks pretty blurry compared to the GoPro.. For basic filming the DJI looks good, but for anything else, GoPro still seems to be the better choice in my opinion. Although, the DJI mic is better! The photos for the GoPro just look wrong, are those RAWs meant to be edited? Cause it does not look the way it should be at all
Yes but if you use the camera for what it was built for which is action sports the dji kills the gopro.

@@r00kiet80 It's an action camera and both offer those functions, so why not try them? If you want it, the GoPro wins easily. SloMo especially is well liked for extreme sports, so I can see the appeal. In the end I agree, the DJI is better for the main purpose overall, but as a complete package, half of it sucks
@@xPandamon true if you only have one camera the gopro might be the better choice. But if you do any kind of sports in cold or hot tempertures the gopro becomes garbage in comparison but maybe the gopro 12 is gonna change that but i highly doubt that

I own this Action 4 and the 4K is terrible. I do love my DJI Mic dual mic edition. Do not fall for this Action 4 like I did. I ended up spending over $700 to get every accessory I would need also. I definitely feel stupid for buying it with all the GoPros I already own. I will definitely be giving the Action 4 away and not be bringing it back with me when I leave the Philippines on my next trip.

I was really expecting more from dji but they are pretty much matching with a one year old go pro.. I will wait to see what go pro comes out with in september before deciding what to buy next.

Last years GoPro is still better than this years OSMO.
There aren’t any advances with the Action 4. It sucks compared to GoPro. I have the Action 4 and it is terrible. I still use all my GoPros and the Action 4 is only used for low light because that’s all it’s good for. The Action 4 can’t overheat and yes the batteries last longer because it doesn’t have options like built in GPS or even capable of shooting up to 5.3k resolution. The Action 4 4K is crap compared to GoPros 4K just look at the quality. The Action 4 is a waste of money that I spent over $700 on including all the accessories I bought with it. GoPro subscription is way better than DJI care refresh also. Yes I love DJI and I currently own six of their drones that I use a lot but their action camera game sucks. GoPro all day everyday.
I have to say, it is an improvement on the Action 3 for image quality. Don't see the typical sharpness issues. So that is good. Surprised that the Action 4 now has earlier heating issues? That is a step-back, since by far that was always the biggest complaint on the GoPro's. I had wondered if I should consider replacing my GoPro Hero 11 with an Action 4...and I think the answer is a no.
I absolutely see sharpness issues for time lapse and slowmo. The Action 4 either was oversharpened or blurry compared to the Hero 11
This is the first comparison that I saw that had the DJI overheating. Every other side by side review I saw had the GoPro overheating every time.

This is the first review out of all the ones I’ve watch today. That said the DJI turned off first during the heat test.
The Action4's true competitor is the GoPro Hero 12. And I hear it has a 1 inch sensor. DJI Osmo will win on user experience, but won't come close on image quality and stabilization.
Image quality and colors look better on the gopro imo. also hyperlapse from dji looks a bit blurry and shaky. I like that you compared stills from both cameras too. ☺
I also have the DJI magnetic mounts on my GoPros and ordered them from Ulanzi Falcam for only $15 each so now my GoPros attach to all my accessories just like the DJI Action 4 so my Action 4 accessories do work just fine for the superior GoPro.
dji has the classic software problem that they often have at the beginning until another update comes out.
The camera is overshapen and looks like it was drawn with watercolours. If you can adjust the sharpness in the menu then it should be better.
It not only oversharpens occasionally, in the time lapse/ slomo part it both oversharpens or blurs depending on what mode you use. GoPro easily wins if that's important to have done well.
i think dji has a sharpness setting built inside. you can change by yourself.
