Ernest Rides Again is a 1993 American comedy film written and directed by John R. Cherry III and starring Jim Varney. It is the sixth film to feature the character Ernest P. Worrell, the fifth film in the Ernest series, and the last to be released theatrically. Its gross was $1,433,496. In this movie, Ernest and a history professor discover a long-lost Revolutionary War cannon and must protect it from others who want the precious jewels hidden inside. Its budget was $5,500,000.
Interestingly enough, out of all of the Ernest movies out there, Ernest Scared Stupid is actually considered to be the most popular Ernest movie out there to fans of Ernest and the late Jim Varney.
DamemitHut I thought that too, but then I realized this was made before Rick&Morty was a thing. Too bad, I would have made a "I'm BLACK RICK!!!" joke for this.
This is my halloween guilty pleasure, I grew up watching most of the ernest movies and there were three scenes I enjoyed watching in this one. The troll children, "bumper sandwich, booger lips", and "he never knew when to quit". Grown up I realize It's stupid and alot of the jokes aren't that great but it's nostalgic to me and I give it a watch once in a while
That's not true, the last Ernest movie to get a theatrical release was "Ernest Rides Again". Also, wasn't the girl at the beginning smiling because the trap they set was about to work? And another thing, how could he not find the miak part pretty funny? First his mind goes to miak instead of the obvious milk and then later he confronts him with miak which turns out to be a real thing. I remember laughing pretty hard at that.
+10INTM Ernest kicks all kinds of ass. I notice Critic skips a lot of his funnier lines here, but focuses on his weaker stuff. When Ernest puts his hand on the tree and speaks the curse and the troll begins to awaken, and he ends with "but what are the odds of that happening" is actually pretty funny.
