Thanks to the feedback received and our supporters we have upgraded a number of cuts, added more inbetween cels and revamped some of the animation in hopes to make the experience more enjoyable, thank you for the support strugglers.

Berserk 2016 got bad animation. The one from 1997 and the movies are well done
tbh i gave up a long time ago on the hope that the series will be animated , it has too much fucked up shit in it to be made by a big studio , and all that stuff has some purpose over the storytelling so if we get a decent adaptation it will be heavelly dumbed down

From these teases alone the artstyle is translated so smoothly - I really hope enough people support this and we can see their full potential!
keep in mind they either went the lazy route or didn't have the budget. The first time it was old and you can't blame them, for the time it was good. The movies had solid animation is it top tear? not really but it didn't have the same funding as episodes like mha or demon slayer. Although had enough to still be good, so I don't get why you put the s in studio's implying its variety of mistakes when it's just universal who fucked it in 2016 using cgi for two seasons and dropping it

I highly doubt they will ever be able to sell this in any shape or form due to copyright, fan made projects usually have fundraisers tho if you want to support the creators

Fans have become so incredibly talented and professionals who worked at big name studios are also forming their own original fan made studios so the power is in the hands of the consumer even more than ever before, as well as having access to industry level tech to create these video games, anime TV series, etc
Whoever voiced Guts for the trailer absolutely nailed it. You can FEEL the rage in his lines, especially the bit about being sacrificed in the sea of blood, and his “Griffith!” scream hits hard.

But yeah, i definitely wanna watch what happens after the new Party sets off together. which has yet to be ever be animated. Miura deserves to have his work animated and fully completed so his estate can keep earning. and a complete animated series does that.

I can't believe between that and the 2016 one there was no elaboration on how they got out of that mess from the Eclipse. Needless to say the horrid 2016 version is the reason I picked up the manga, so I could get a complete story

1:52 If you notice, The lip sync here is very different from the Japanese version. They actually animate the mouth movement to say "Guts", rather than "Gatsu" as in the Japanese version. It's pretty phenomenal because most people wouldn't even notice, given that anime often just has lip flaps that don't sync with the dialogue.

It's actually sad, there's clearly a market for this in the west, studios have shown not only interest but a passion for Berserk e.g. Castlevania studio (I wouldn't want them to do it now if Nocturne is their standard now. Just proving a point). People say the industry has gotten better in the last tenish years; I don't see it at all. People say maybe they're gonna release something soon; they would've built up hype for it by now with a teaser trailer or Twitter announcement. I get it, it's a culture thing over there. They don't like when people take their works even if it's in fair use and that's totally fine. This sentiment basically killed the "abridged era" of RUclips. I'm kinda rambling/venting at this point =/ it's just sad that a bunch of dinosaurs in a boardroom are the reason why almost nothing passionate gets made in the animation industry these days.
I know someone is gonna ask "how would you feel if it was your family member". Honestly, if I was just sitting on the IP and the people doing whatever with it showed respect and appreciation, I would give them my blessing and probably be happy about it too.
There's really no resolution to this which is unfortunate. I think it's going to be a long time before we ever get anything official from Berserk outside the manga. Maybe I'm wrong but that's the way it seems to me. There's a lot of reasoning to that but the main point being is that they would have done something by now.
Just to clarify, I'm only speaking in regard to the copyright issue. I know some people are upset for other reasons. I can't really speak on that because I'm not a part of that.

it's incredibly difficult and time consuming to create a 2D animation, to see something made out of pure love is just amazing and I salute the team. With that said I do hope to the final cut to be a bit more akin to the first teaser since the art quality on that one is simply spectacular and could easily put the studio on the map. Cheers

Anyone can portray the easy emotions, like anger or rage, but not everyone can portray the nuanced ones. The transition from Casca to the sword was beautiful.

I'll reiterate that the original trailer was fine and the people complaining are most likely elitists who will never be happy no matter how good you make it.
I respect the effort you're going to make it even better, though.
The problem is that the manga looks better but people don't understand that's fucking Logic, even the best anime studio in the World couldn't animate berserk and make it as as beautiful as berserk's panels, miura was so talented that his panels can't be animated well
(And it's the same for several other mangakas such as junji ito)
I get what you're saying but nothing is above criticism, and on the bright side we got a better trailer because of said criticism. This looks incredible 🔥
You can see where they are struggling against technical and resource limitations, but those are the same limitations that OLM had in 1997, and that's still the defining anime adaptation. What Eclypse aren't lacking is love for the source material!

To be fair, Adult Swim has an Uzumaki show in the works and from what I've seen, it's the closest any adaptation has gotten to Itos work. I'm so excited @@papyrusse.

I think the rights for the IP are probably expensive as fuck due to his popularity and especialy now that the autor died, also the maga wont end any time soon so its a risky one to adapt, who knows how much it will take or if it will be finished at all

Studio Eclypse has not secured any copyrights to using the berserk IP and the publishing studio behind the berserk manga, has made a statement confirming, that studio gaga never gave permission, to studio eclipse to adapt berserk. The anime is probably dead, since lawyers are going to get involved and shut it down.

I really am used to the VAs of the 1997 Berserk anime for the characters but the delivery and emotion as well as dramatic features set in their delivery of each scene is peak on point for Berserk.
This looks more than amazing and more than well done; it’s Berserk and a beautiful work of art.
Thank you Kentaro Miura and RIP great friend who I never met and great luck and gratefulness to Studio ECLYPSE in their struggles with the masterpiece
