I think this is such a great quote, Guts is facing all the suffering by himself, he is facing the whole world alone. And the world still can't manage to kill him.
He carries a weight that no else can carry.
You forgot to mention that the world still cant make a decent anime on this masterpiece.
@@godloveszaza I dont think this is necesarilly the case. I think that the good animation studios wont take this because it'd be a public relations nightmare. With all the nudity, rape, brutal killing, torture, and other really sick stuff, it only makes sense why noone would be able to get it out onto a platform.

@@7Roxer sad. I want to see it in a new proper anime adaptation with the full arcs showing everything in the manga. 1997 missed some parts but it's still awesome. I just wish they followed the manga accurately but they probably didn't have that much budget left so I can't blame them.
Using every adaptation of berserk and blending them together to create this is genius. Felt like a trailer hyping up an upcoming berserk anime.
Let's hope that someone in the future, after Kouji Mori and Studio Gaga finish the manga, makes a true adaptation of Berserk, and I wish the same for Vagabond!

Guts is one of my favorite fictional characters ever, definitely top 3 of all time. In fact, he’s more than a character to me. He’s a role model. I can only wish that one day Berserk gets the proper anime adaptation it deserves. This series needs to hit a wider audience.
i feel like berserk is unadaptable. the detail and the general environment for berserk is too much for some; but i feel that reading the manga would be a much greater experience. the black and white fits perfectly. the idea of color in berserk (other than red) just doesn't feel right to me. just a personal thought tho

@@Doov007 Without a purpose, the human mind simply gives out when it's experiencing too much pain. It regresses, it breaks. With conviction, and purpose, a person has a REASON to endure the pain and yet keep going, instead of shutting in on themself and abandoning reality. Guts has a purpose, he needs to protect Casca, without that, he'd have simply disappeared into his own mind.

I just started the manga a couple weeks ago and I have to say it’s literally my favorite story by far of any manga ever. There is so much that relates to humans not giving up and and to continue to fight and have something to fight for. To struggle. Because that IS life. This video exemplifies how amazing this story is and how Guts is probably the most human and realistic character in story-telling. Thank you for making this. And thank you Kentaro Miura for giving us Berserk. RIP.

Guts will forever be my favorite character, he's the true embodiment of a warrior. Keep's moving forward despite all the odds. He'll one day find peace and will finally be happy.
Let's hope Kouri Moji and his editors will honor Miura's wish of Guts having a happy ending!

Not gonna lie 5:20 to 6:20 is my favorite part of the video due to just how insane those cuts,screen flickers, dialogue, and music sync are to each other! Really helps you get a feeling of Guts’ inner battle with himself that just escalated as time passes on. Skull Knight’s dialogue about the sword before cutting to Guts absolutely destroying Grunbeld is beautiful as well!

This is one of the best edits I've ever seen. It's Not overedited, good choice of music and voice lines, and the compilation the 97 anime and movie trilogy was masterful. This really encapsulates the tragic beauty of Berserk.

Everytime he has lost to a more powerful character
He comes back and DESTROYS THEM after growing more powerful than them

Like honestly if he appeared in any other anime

Or one punch man I believe every other character
Would be FUCKING terrified of him…

Thinking of griffith who has been destroyed by the leaving of guts and have been tortured for years alone, made me have compassion and comprehension for him. Guts and Griffith are both such a great duo to follow the story.
Sympathy for the devil is one of Berserk's specialties. The apostles aren't inhuman so much as they're humanity with the brakes taken off. Guts as well, at times.
The subtext of the Golden Age arc might be phrased as _"the french revolution was literally demonic."_ But it's hard to turn down a guy who says _"Will you always be left doubting me, when I lay down my life for you?"_

And after the tragedy all he had was depression,sadness,grief,rage,fury,......... Vengeance.but besides all he had endured he kept his sanity but even though he lost in the abyss he always comes back in light and dark with strength and determination.
It doesn't help that he keeps walking away from things without looking back at them
Man, I will surely cry if Berserk (true to manga/arc) movie comes (again). this is beyond masterpiece.

I just finished the original anime and I feel completely shattered. The turns and twists in the final episodes really made Berserk one of the best pieces of fiction ever created. Heartbreaking to see everything fall apart
