Great point. We have to show that we genuinely care at every opportunity. We want our customers taken care of and that starts with taking care of our people.
If my boss had heard this video & acknowledged me; i would never have walked out on her. I loved my job & loved the customers. I worked 6 days per week 9 - 10 hours per day. She was in office the one day I had off. Needless to say, my pay was lower ( by $6.00 less ) than other compared managers. Yet, she left notes upon notes to correct my proformance every week. After 5 years, i was done.
This is a great example. We were just talking and remembering this woman who was a prominent doctor in Baku. She worked for an emergency unit and was very insensitive I do not know what other adjective can describe her demeanor but let’s call it insensitive. Every time a patient was brought in she would say I need my pocket money before I can see him/ her. Pocket money is referred to bribing which was common in Soviet era. One day they bring a young man and tell this woman doctor this guy had been in accident and is in critical condition please go in to see him now where she replies not till money is handed first. When the staff keeps demanding her urgent attention she goes to see the patient who ends up being her own son and is already dead. 😞 This was written in the newspaper and as a community majority people knew her including my parents as she lived in the same community. She not only not had empathy she could have earned the title worse ever human being on this earth.
2:21 It is so sad for me, because it's true - and I don't even work in the private sector but I'm working for the government. I wish I could work for Simon for just a month 😟
My experience with this is that the person you are trying to help gets angry and keeps pushing and pushing to get you to find a solution. How do you let them down gently without simply hanging up the phone?
It does look like she is sitting right on the front edge of the chair. It has a stainless steel pole that it sits on, and at 2:36 you can see it swivel a little bit. I would think that it's got to be bolted to the floor though.

That's right. We need to be open-mindeed
We need to show love and respect to customers because they are the reason why any company exist.
As a cabin crew, I say the customer service part works beautifully 👍👍👍
Also, the management part as well.

What camera are you using in this vid?!
Is that manga in the shelf?

👍
I can't tell if it is an optical illusion or a magic trick, but is the host sitting on the chair?
Not to take away from the message of this video, but I thought the exact same thing, lol.

There is no host.
