  • The Theme Tune to ITV's 1989 David Dundas Theme which was part of the "Get Ready" slogan with the official "Get Ready For ITV" theme song.

      I truly believe the franchises, LWT & Thames in particular made far better programmes than the 'ITV' of today. Same as you, very fond of those two. I do still miss the LWT idents at the weekends.

      When the francises decided to remove them.

      Most of the franchisees did not adopt the corporate look. For those that did, this theme was used sporadically by them until about 92. Some of them a little longer, but without the generic ITV identity.

      98 they fully stopped using it then it was changed to the hearts in 99

      The theme in this form, agree about 1992, but certainly LWT started using a more percussion heavy arrangement of it that lasted for a few years. Thames had a new sting in the early 90s that they used at least sometimes, that was nothing like this.
